JLS star Oritse Williams urges men to show their emotions
Oritse Williams was an "absolute mess" when he finally let himself cry following his wife's two miscarriages.
The JLS singer's spouse Kazz tragically lost two babies before they welcomed their son Shiva into the world last October, and the 38-year-old pop star has called for men to express their emotions instead of always feeling they have to be strong for other people.
He told MailOnline: "I feel like it's very important for men to not internalise their emotions because as men, we are so frightened, especially black men, of feeling weak, of being perceived as insecure, being emotional.
"It's very important for us to be able to voice our feelings and be comfortable with them, share our feelings.
"Just from my own experience, when we lost the babies, I had I had that emotion inside for a very long time.
"My wife's emotions, Kazz's emotions, it was out there. She was battling with those emotions.
"I thought me being strong for her was bottling my emotions up. One day, she turned around and was like, Don't you feel anything?
"I just broke down, exasperated in tears on the floor. And she had to console me and lift me up. And I was just an absolute mess.
"But you know what? In that, I felt the most free because I felt like I had all this emotion and feeling that was inside of me that kept on just bubbling and bubbling and was just going around in this cycle. And it needed to be released."
Oritse also has 10-year-old son Omre from a previous relationship and admitted he has spent much of the boy's life "fighting" to be able to see him.
He said: "So again, the yin and yang of life. I've been fighting for access to my first son for eight and a half years, so I still I don't have that access, unfortunately. And that's always tough. That always is very heavy on my heart.
"There's not a day, a moment, a second, or a minute that goes by where I don't think of my first son. I It's been eight and a half years. You can't get that time back. He can't get that time back. I can't get that time back.
"We can't get that time back. My family, his grandmother, my mom, his uncle's cousin and aunties, none of us can get that time back. So once it's gone, it's gone. And so that is heavy. That continues to be heavy. I'm still fighting with everything I got, with every penny I have."
The 'Beat Again' hitmaker credited his faith and his loved ones for getting him through the tough time.
Asked how he has overcome his struggles, he said: "First, family and friends, having wonderful family and friends that just love me dearly and support me. And having prayer. I'll be straight up.
"Prayer and having people and friends around me that pray with me.
"I break it down like this. Spiritual therapy, physical therapy, and emotional therapy, the physical therapy I found in martial arts, the spiritual therapy through prayer, and the emotional therapy through music.
"And so I really, really threw myself into all of that to get through crazy amounts of adversity in my life."

'Queen Camilla, a well-known book-lover and reading champion through her charity, The Queen's Reading Room, has always been one of the first people to receive each Grace novel and is excited to have a starring role, alongside His Majesty King Charles, in Peter's latest thriller.' According to the outlet, Camilla has received a preview of the novel, and Peter has had the opportunity for some "extensive behind-the-scenes" research at Buckingham Palace, including "insights" from members of the Royal Household, including the queen herself. Publisher Pan Macmillan wrote of the plot: 'A tragic accident or a planned attack?... Despite all the evidence, Roy Grace is not convinced the Queen was the intended target ... Failure at this level is not an option. But time is running out before a killer in the palace will strike again.' In 2021, Camilla visited the set of 'Grace', an ITV adaptation of the novels starring John Simm as the detective and it was her conversation with the author that sparked the seed for his new book. Peter said: 'The Queen asked me when I might set a Roy Grace novel in London … and the seed was sown. Where better in London than Buckingham Palace? 'I came up with an idea, which I ran by Her Majesty – and she loved it.' 'The Hawk is Dead' will be released on 21 October.

King Charles is "on the better side" of his cancer journey. The 76-year-old monarch - who has been receiving regular treatment after being diagnosed with an undisclosed form of the disease in 2024 – spoke to florist Safeena Khan about his health, during a visit to Bradford to celebrate its status as the UK's City of Culture. Khan told MailOnline: "He asked me how I was, and I asked him how he was. There was some pleasantries towards the end, but it was a lovely conversation." The florist added that Charles gave her a "thumbs up" when she asked about his health and told her: "I'd like to think I'm on the better side (of my cancer journey)". During a recent Buckingham Palace garden party, Charles advocated for the benefits of eating well amid cancer treatment. The monarch spoke with Stamford Collis, 22, about the student's own experiences of battling cancer at the recent event and Stamford told the Daily Telegraph newspaper: "He was asking me about the treatment I have starting in June and spoke to me about food and diet. Danny O'Donoghue marries long-term girlfriend Anais Niang
Danny O'Donoghue has married his partner Anais Niang. The Script frontman, 44, tied the knot with his long-term events manager girlfriend, 31, at a ceremony on Thursday (08.05.25) in the UK and the pair are delighted to have become husband and wife. The couple told MailOnline: "We're over the moon to be married and now we take the first steps on the journey of the rest of our lives together!" Danny and Anais have been together for five years after meeting by chance in London during the COVID-19 pandemic and the Irish singer revealed that his partner had received his mother's approval when they made their red carpet debut together at the Pride of Britain Awards in 2021. He said at the time: "We actually live in the same part of London, and up until now we've mainly just been hanging out at home. My mum loved her, and offered her lots of tea." Danny proposed to Anais when the pair holidayed in Norway last year and explained that he had to keep his romantic gesture a secret as the pair climbed up a mountain. 'The Man Who Can't Be Moved' artist said: "We hiked up to the top of a mountain to face the most beautiful waterfall in the world, The Seven Sisters. It's our favourite place on Earth. "I nearly passed out from exhaustion carrying up all the champagne, glasses and food for if she said yes. I had to do it all without her knowing." Danny also recalled how he knew that his partner was 'The One'. He explained: "When you know, you know... I knew when it wasn't right, but now I know whatever that is, that it's 100 per cent right. "She's great. I met her during Covid and if you've been with anybody through Covid it's like you compress ten years into these years. "You learn everything, all the good bits, mostly the bad bits, and if you get through those moments... I don't know if it's a rite of passage, if you've made it through those few years then you know." O'Donoghue previously revealed that he went "off the rails" following the death of his bandmate Mark Sheehan, who passed away aged 46 in 2023 following a short illness. He told Virgin Media One's 'Six O'Clock Show': "I went off the rails after Mark passed. I went heavy on drinking, smoking and eating c*** food, really went off the rails. "I had writers block, a mental block because I could not articulate what was going on because everything comes into question, not just should we carry on as a band, but is there a God? Why? There is no answers to these questions."
