Police confirm death of Alabama QB's twin sister Kierston Russell
Kierston Russell, the twin sister of University of Alabama football quarterback Keelon Russell, has died, the Tuscaloosa County Sheriff's Office confirmed June 5. She was 18 years old.
"There has been considerable media attention concerning a death investigation that occurred (in Tuscaloosa) on June 4, 2025," Capt. Jack Kennedy of the Tuscaloosa County Sheriff's Office Violent Crimes Unit wrote in a statement.

"After speaking with the family, and in an attempt to quell media inquiries, they have given permission to confirm the death of Kierston Russell... The investigation is ongoing pursuant to the procedures mentioned above, and at this time appears to be non-criminal in nature. Therefore, at this time no other information will be released."
Keelon Russell has posted a string of social media messages on his Instagram account, including photos of him and Kierston while responding to messages, such as "stay strong for mom my thoughts and prayers are with y'all' with emojis of hands into heart shapes.
Kierston Russell played basketball at Texas' Duncanville High School, which finished its season in the regional finals.
Keelon Russell, who enrolled at Alabama in January, was a five-star quarterback at Duncanville High School.

We also can see Ohio State's schedule from their 2024 national championship season, where the Buckeyes did actually play nine home games (includes one home game in the College Football Playoff). The Buckeyes played a three-game regular season nonconference slate of Akron, Western Kentucky and Marshall and had eight regular season games at home, which is a lot. As for Florida, the Gators had a challenging 2024 schedule that still featured seven home games. The Gators have six home games in 2025 while Ohio State had seven home games in 2025, which is the same amount as Georgia. Despite a weak nonconference schedule, Georgia's schedule is by no means easy. The Bulldogs play Alabama, Texas and Ole Miss at home and have road games against Auburn and Tennessee. Neutral site contests against Florida and Georgia Tech present significant challenges as well. Attempted murder arrests after boy, 15, stabbed
Three teenagers have been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder after a 15-year-old boy was stabbed in a country park. The boy was found injured on Margaret Terrace in New Herrington, Sunderland at about 18:10 BST on Friday, Northumbria Police said. He was taken to hospital for treatment and his injuries were described as not life-threatening. Two boys, aged 16, and one girl, 15, are being questioned in police custody. Ch Supt Nicola Walker said the force believed the boy was stabbed in Herrington Country Park. She appealed for witnesses to come forward. That news came after confusion erupted because Lame is not in the ICE arrest database. Furthermore, he's been posting on Instagram and on TikTok since the rumor went viral, including in a bookstore. Men's Journal asked ICE public relations about the viral and unverified rumor that Lame was arrested, which started on the X page of a social media influencer named Bo Louden. A spokeswoman for ICE, Alethea Smock, told Men's Journal on the evening of June 6 that she was looking into it, and the agency responded with the statement on June 7. On June 7, Lame posted several times to his Instagram story, including a post in a bookstore, holding a book. He also wished a top athlete a happy birthday. The moral of the story is to not instantly believe everything you read on the Internet. Furthermore, X's Grok was already warning on June 6 that the rumor was likely false. And Lame posted this video on TikTok on June 7: In a June 6, 2025, post, Louden alleged that Lame - who has more than 162 million followers on TikTok - was arrested by ICE in Nevada and is in custody, and he shared a supposed ICE database screenshot in the name of Serigne Khabane Lame of Senegal. The post then ricocheted around social media and was viewed hundreds of thousands of times. A community note was quickly attached to his post. "Khaby Lame is still living in Italy, and was granted citizenship there in 2022. ICE is a U.S.-based organization and cannot deport someone not living in the USA," it read. But here's the thing. When you try it yourself, you get zero results. No evidence of Khaby Lame, Khabane Lame, or Serigne Khabane Lame being in ICE custody (as the screenshot lists). Nothing. Zero results come up also when you put the supposed A-Number from the screenshot into the database. In other words, the screenshot is impossible to replicate. That's likely because Lame was allowed to voluntarily leave the country, though, per the new statement. On Louden's comment thread on X, other people wrote that they also got no results when they tried to replicate it in the official database, and they accused him of perpetrating a hoax. Lame is an Italian citizen. Furthermore, Italian citizens do not need a visa to be in the United States for up to 90 days. KRON4 confirmed that Khaby Lame was born in Senegal. He is a UNICEF Goodwill Ambassador. "Lame moved to Italy from his native Senegal when he was an infant with his working class parents, but was only granted Italian citizenship when he was 20," that site reported.
