Angel Reese has outdone herself by setting a new WNBA record.
Following the Chicago Sky's game against the Phoenix Mercury on May 27, the WNBA announced that Angel Reese had achieved an impressive feat in only 38 regular-season games.
Angel Reese Sets An Impressive New WNBA Record In Only 38 Regular-Season Games
The WNBA shared a flashy graphic of the sophomore basketball player on X, formerly Twitter, following the Sky's game on Tuesday night. In the post, the league praised Reese, who finished the game with 13 points and 15 rebounds, for becoming the fastest player in the WNBA to reach 500+ points and 500+ rebounds.

Reese accomplished the feat in just 38 games, soaring past the previous record holder, Tina Charles, who earned the honor after 44 games in 2011.
"ICON BEHAVIOR," ESPN wrote about Reese on X, while her home team, the Chicago Sky, said Reese caught a "first-class ticket to the 500/500 club."
Angel Reese Is Still Facing Criticism From Online Trolls Despite Her Growing Performance
Despite her impressive new record, Reese continues to face criticism from online trolls regarding her shooting percentage. Although she finished the May 27 game with an impressive stat line, which also included three assists and three steals, the 6'3" 23-year-old shot 3 of 9 from the field.

Two games prior, WNBA spectators had shared their unfiltered thoughts about Reese's on-court ability, as the power forward had gone zero for eight from the field during the Sky's matchup against the New York Liberty.
The negative feedback regarding her game isn't new to Reese, however, who responded to a troll on social media in November 2024 after they questioned her place in the league.
"do you realize I got drafted 7th in my class while "missing layups" as a ROOKIE shooting 39% on the year & was STILL a all star and that was the worst you'll ever see me??? or you just laid up with your dog at home hating Adam??" she wrote.

On X, the LSU alum reposted a "prayer for the day," which thanked God for his "protection" and asked for "no weapon [to be] formed against" her.
Following her game against the Mercury, Reese shared a spiritual message from her personal account, writing, "God has a plan. Day by day."
The NCAA national champion also shared a similar statement on her Instagram Stories, accompanied by a picture of a Bible verse, which read, "The righteous person faces many troubles, but the Lord comes to the rescue each time."
Angel Reese Teases Her New Signature Shoe Coming In 2026
Reese's new WNBA record isn't the only accomplishment the basketball player is celebrating these days. On May 28, she acknowledged a series of posts showcasing her logo for her new signature shoe, which is currently scheduled for release in 2026.

On social media, Reebok posted an exciting clip of the design, which featured the capital A with a halo glistening under bright lights. "Just the beginning," the company captioned the video. "Reebok x Angel: like you've never seen before."
Reese also shared her excitement about her new sneaker and praised the shoe brand for creating a "fire" look for her debut kicks. "It's like my momma named me so perfect because she knew this moment would come!! LOVE LOVE LOVE," she finished.
Reese Won Defensive Player Of The Year In Unrivaled
UNRIVALED
During the WNBA's off-season, Reese, along with several other league players, participated in a new 3x3 league called Unrivaled.

The company has set a new standard regarding pay for women athletes and has attracted major investors and sponsors, including NBA champion Stephen Curry and the beauty brand Sephora.
Reese's team, ROSE BC, won the league's first-ever championship title, and she was awarded the title of "Defensive Player of the Year." She earned the honor after receiving "the most combined weighted votes from Unrivaled players and coaches, as well as a national panel of sportswriters and broadcasters."
The walking double-double, who led the league in rebounds (averaging 12.1 per game) and led her team in blocked shots, certainly made an impact. "Reese was the anchor all season for the best scoring defense in Unrivaled, allowing 65.2 points per game," the release stated.

Vanessa Kirby is pregnant with her first child

Vanessa Kirby is pregnant. The 38-year-old actress revealed that she is expecting her first child as she showed off a baby bump during a photocall for her new movie 'The Fantastic Four: First Steps' at the Comic Con Experience Mexico on Saturday (31.05.25). Vanessa is said to have got engaged to her partner Paul Rabil last December after he popped the question after two years of dating, according to the New York Post's Page Six column. The pair were first spotted together in New York City in October 2022 and made their romance Instagram official the following year. Paul, the President of the Premier Lacrosse League, captioned a carousel of Instagram images: "from the very minute we first met in des moines, around the world and back, life is far better, more purposeful and more beautiful with you (sic)' Before finding love with Paul, Vanessa dated actor Callum Turner for four years but revealed that she chose to keep the relationship private as people weren't interested in the details. 'The Crown' actress said in 2018: "I keep my relationship super private. "He is just completely wonderful and he's my best friend, so that's ... I guess you can either choose to talk about it or not. If you talk about it, it becomes interesting to people, but if you don't, then it's not." Vanessa portrayed Princess Margaret in the first two seasons of the Netflix drama about the British royal family but feared that she was "finished" after playing a part that seemed over-the-top in comparison to Claire Foy's Queen Elizabeth. She told The Times newspaper: "Claire is the master of subtlety and I'd be sitting across from her in those scenes with tears coming out, smoking cigarettes, my nose running and I'm shouting in her face. "And I remember thinking, 'Oh my God. This could be the most pantomime thing I've ever done. I'm going to be finished after this.'" However, she has since embarked on a career in blockbuster movies - such as 'Mission: Impossible - Fallout' - and explained that she is drawn to playing "strange" characters. Kirby said: "Strange. That's the biggest compliment you could give me: strange. I just love playing strange; the stranger the better.'

Tesla Can't Find Legal Places to Store All Its Unsold Cybertrucks

Tesla is seriously struggling to find enough room for all of its unsold Cybertrucks. In a particularly dramatic example, the increasingly unpopular pickups have been piling up in the parking lot of a shuttered Bed Bath & Beyond store in a Detroit suburb shopping center, Automotive News reports, in a violation of local code. The landlord was notified that the vehicle storage was not "permitted," and local officials have started the "enforcement process," per Automotive News. It's yet another sign that Tesla's Cybertruck has been a major flop. Earlier this month, Electrek reported that Tesla had amassed over 10,000 units worth a staggering $800 million of unsold Cybertruck inventory. The EV maker has also reportedly slowed down production and moved workers from the line entirely at its manufacturing facility in Texas, indicating massively waning demand and growing anti-Tesla sentiment. What to do with all of these unsold Cybertrucks has seemingly become a major issue. A video that went viral on Instagram last week showed rows of the stainless steel-clad vehicles sitting in the otherwise deserted parking lot. "Look at what you're missing," a person in the video joked. "Need a Cybertruck? We got you." Tesla's sales have fallen off a cliff worldwide, largely a result of backlash against Musk's embrace of far-right idealism and a surge in cheaper — and often better — alternatives, particularly from China. The Cybertruck has become the poster child of the burgeoning anti-Tesla movement, resulting in frequent vandalism and outright mockery. And top top it all off, used Cybertruck prices are cratering, making it an extremely costly and unwise investment. Paige Bueckers placed into WNBA concussion protocol, will miss at least 2 games

Dallas Wings rookie Paige Bueckers has been placed in the WNBA's concussion protocol, the team announced Friday. As a result, Bueckers will miss a minimum of two games. She will be reevaluated after the Wings travel to play the Seattle Storm on Tuesday. The team said Bueckers was placed under the protocol after Dallas' loss to the Chicago Sky on Thursday. It is not entirely clear what led to Bueckers being placed in concussion protocol. Some suspect Bueckers may have sustained the concussion during the final minute of the first half, when she was fouled by Chicago guard Courtney Vandersloot. Bueckers stayed on the ground for a moment before being helped up by teammates. Advertisement Bueckers played 36 minutes in the 97-92 loss to the Sky. She scored 15 points, eight assists and five rebounds. Bueckers' rookie season has had a slow start, as the Wings are 1-5. But Bueckers has already been a key player for Dallas, starting all six games and playing the most minutes of anyone on the team. The Wings' primary offensive production comes from Arike Ogunbowale, who leads the team in scoring, averaging 17.7 points per game. Where Bueckers really shines is with playmaking: The rookie is tied for the league lead with 40 assists and her 12 steals are tied for third.
