FPM urges collective effort to rebuild Lebanon
FPM deemed the current dynamics as a "potential opportunity to find a solution to the issue of arms outside the state," calling on both the Lebanese authorities and Hezbollah to "seize the opportunity to liberate the land, prisoners, and resources, implement the promised financial reforms, and conclude a final and swift solution to the crisis of displaced Syrians and Palestinian refugees."
The FPM statement highlighted the need for everyone to assume responsibility towards seriously engaging in the process of restoring peace and prosperity to Lebanon, which requires exceptional national awareness to reach a conclusion that alleviates the suffering of the Lebanese and puts an end to decades of oppression, killing, and destruction.

Netanyahu tells Trump he'll strike Iran again if it moves toward nuclear weapon
Sitting across from Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Monday at the White House, U.S. President Donald Trump said he hoped there would be no more U.S. bombing of Iran. 'I can't imagine wanting to do that,' Trump said. But Netanyahu later told him in private, however, according to the Wall Street Journal, that if Iran resumed moving toward a nuclear weapon, Israel would carry out further military strikes. Trump responded that he favors a diplomatic settlement with Tehran, but didn't otherwise object to the Israeli plan, the Wall Street Journal added.

Israel says Nmairiyeh strike killed man who smuggled arms to Lebanon, W. Bank
by Naharnet Newsdesk 12 July 2025, 12:56 An Israeli air strike in southern Lebanon on Friday killed one person, the Lebanese health ministry reported, with Israel saying it had targeted a man accused of helping smuggle weapons from Iran. The attack was the latest in Lebanon despite a months-long ceasefire between Israel and Iran-backed Hezbollah there. The Israeli army said it killed Mohammad Shoaib, whom it accused of having aided in the smuggling of weapons to Lebanon and the occupied West Bank. Israel has kept up regular strikes in Lebanon, particularly in the south, since a November 27 ceasefire meant to end over a year of hostilities with Hezbollah that left the group severely weakened. Under the agreement, Hezbollah was to pull its fighters back north of the Litani River, around 30 kilometers (20 miles) from the border with Israel, leaving the Lebanese Army and United Nations peacekeepers as the only armed parties in the area. The ceasefire requires Israel to fully withdraw its troops, but it has kept them in five locations in south Lebanon that it deems strategic.

12 Jul 2025 10:05 AM Netanyahu Threatens to Strike Iran Again
The American newspaper The Wall Street Journal, citing US and Israeli officials, revealed that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu informed US President Donald Trump during his recent visit to the White House that Tel Aviv would carry out military strikes against Iran if it resumes its efforts to acquire a nuclear weapon. The newspaper noted that Trump told Netanyahu he preferred reaching a diplomatic settlement with Tehran but would not oppose the Israeli plan. The paper also quoted an Israeli official as saying that Tel Aviv will base its decision on how serious Iran's attempt is to revive its nuclear program and emphasized that Israel will not necessarily seek explicit US approval to resume strikes against Tehran.
