After over 15 years in the company, Jey Uso has established himself as one of the most popular Superstars in WWE.
This has led to the charismatic wrestler defeating Gunther for the World Heavyweight Championship at WrestleMania 41 Night 1.
However, not everyone is happy with how Main Event Jey Uso has been booked since his triumphant victory, including someone close to the Superstar.

LAS VEGAS, NEVADA - APRIL 19: Jey Uso poses in the ring before his World Heavyweight Championship match against Gunther during WrestleMania 41 at Allegiant Stadium on April 20, 2025 in Las Vegas, Nevada.During a recent episode of his 'Off The Top Rope' podcast, WWE Hall of Famer Rikishi shared his disappointment with Uso's booking as champion.
"Bro why? Why?" Rikishi asked, per Skylar Russell of Fightful. "I mean, Jey is a world heavyweight champion by himself. Okay. Oh, they really need to fire creative service over there now. Just book me so I can book my son's matches out there, man. You know what I mean?"
Rikishi then got into more specific details, specifically looking at Uso's tag team match against Paul and Undisputed WWE Champion John Cena at Money in the Bank.
"Okay, you had me, but when they brought in Paul," Rikishi continued. "Like I said on a past podcast, I like Logan. I thought uce, he's got skills. He's very entertaining. He knows how to get heat. But damn, I wouldn't have beat him the first time they locked up together.
"Could've just waited till a cage match or some type of gimmick match or something. Paul, he's got heat, right? He's got heat and this will probably be his biggest spotlight in WWE. They're both young, Jey is young, Paul is young. Now you beat Paul, now where do you go. Into a tag team bout? Like, okay. Alright."

Additionally, Rikishi explained that he isn't a fan of having the former World Heavyweight Champion Gunther having to wait for a rematch, especially since he has been booked so dominantly.
"We're just gonna hunker Gunther out. Just hang around, Gunther," Rikishi concluded. "If I was Gunther, I want Jey right now damnit. Give me Jey right now. It could have went either Jey and Logan or I mean, it has to be some type of gimmick match for him and Gunther.
"It's got to be one of those big double cages or something. Just some make believe gimmick type of match to bring some type of excitement to it. Two things can happen, either they give it to Jey again off the gimmick match, which excels him to the next level.
"It's bad for Gunther, just alright, where do you go from there? But, it took Jey three times before he beat Gunther, so I think it's only fair to be able to give Gunther three chances and maybe beat him three times. Or not, depends. But still man, it's like, goes back to whoever is writing it. But what do I know."

Cody Rhodes pays tribute to Hulk Hogan on WWE SmackDown
The post Cody Rhodes pays tribute to Hulk Hogan on WWE SmackDown appeared first on ClutchPoints. Though WWE committed the opening on Friday Night SmackDown to an expansive tribute to the late Hulk Hogan, from a 10 bell salute to a near-seven-minute long video package highlighting his entire career, Cody Rhodes wanted to spend a little extra time focusing on the 'Hulkster' before getting down to business. Taking the ring to talk SummerSlam, his feud with John Cena, and everything else along the way, Rhodes dedicated some time to Hogan, thanking him for his contributions to sports entertainment, wrestling, and entertainment as well. 'Yesterday, WWE and pro-wrestling lost one of its giants in Hulk Hogan, and I know emotions and feelings regarding it are complicated, but what is not complicated is his accomplishments and his contributions to WWE to sports entertainment, to pro wrestling, to entertainment as a whole,e they are staggering and they are indisputable,' Rhodes declared. 'So, as someone who gets to stand here and say that I'm a WWE Superstar, he was the original, and I just want to take a moment to say thank you, Hulk Hogan.' Did Rhodes and Hogan ever share the ring? Nope, but Hogan did wrestle his Cody's father Dusty a number of times back in the day, including eight matches in New Japan Pro Wrestling – if you can believe it – a Royal Rumble in WWE, and one final time on an episode of WCW Thunder in 2000, according to Cagematch. Despite being from very different generations, the way Rhodes and Hogan present themselves to the WWE Universe is remarkably similar, with the 'American Nightmare' taking more than a few cues from the 'HulkaManic' in his red, white, and blue babyface presentation post-AEW. While Rhodes' time as a babyface may rapidly be coming to a close, with Cena's redemption coming at some point, maybe as soon as SummerSlam, when that day comes, he will almost certainly take cues from Hogan there too, using the 'Hollywood Hogan' character as a template from which to tell his own story. His larger-than-life personality will be missed, as the 'Hulkster' was an icon for many who grew up in the 80s and 90s as well as today,' DeSantis wrote in a statement. 'He was a true Floridian through and through.' 'Rest in peace, brother,' the governor added on X. Hulk Hogan's cause of death, private cancer battle revealed after WWE icon died at 71
The cause of death for Hulk Hogan, pro wrestling icon and reality TV star, has been unveiled a week after he died at age 71. A medical document reviewed on Thursday by The Times reveals that Hogan (born Terry Bollea) died of acute myocardial infarction, a heart attack, in other words. This reaffirms details that Florida police shared in an announcement of Hogan's death last week. In a statement on Facebook, the Clearwater Police Department said that on the morning of July 24, it responded to a call for cardiac arrest, adding that first responders took Hogan to a nearby hospital where he was pronounced dead. At the time, a representative for the wrestler also confirmed his death to The Times: "We are heartbroken. He was such a great human being and friend." Read more: Hulk Hogan, pro wrestler and pop culture icon who excelled at earning fans' love and hate, dies at 71 The medical report, which confirmed his death was natural, also revealed that Hogan had a history of atrial fibrillation (AFib) and lived with "leukemia CLL." The Mayo Clinic describes CLL (chronic lymphocytic leukemia) as "a type of cancer of the blood and bone marrow." Hogan was also approved for cremation, according to the document. Hogan gained popularity as a pro wrestler in the 1980s but expanded his legacy with endeavors in film, TV and politics. He famously broke into the national spotlight in 1983 when he signed with the WWE, formerly the World Wrestling Federation. He was known for his blond hair, dark spray tan, red and yellow ensembles and his infectious energy in the ring. He also pursued acting, with credits including "The A-Team," 'Love Boat,' 'Suddenly Susan," 'Walker, Texas Ranger' and the animated "Hulk Hogan's Rock 'n' Wrestling" that featured him and other WWF stars in live-action segments. His TV career also notably includes the family reality TV series "Hogan Knows Best," which included children Brooke and Nick. He became vocal in politics later in life. Hogan became a vocal supporter of President Trump, channeling his wrestling persona at the 2024 Republican National Convention. Read more: Hulk Hogan dies: The rise and fall of a wrestling icon 'We lost a great friend today, the 'Hulkster,'' President Trump wrote last week on Truth Social. 'Hulk Hogan was MAGA all the way — Strong, tough, smart, but with the biggest heart. He gave an absolutely electric speech at the Republican National Convention, that was one of the highlights of the entire week. He entertained fans from all over the World, and the cultural impact he had was massive. To his wife, Sky, and family, we give our warmest best wishes and love. Hulk Hogan will be greatly missed!' Also paying tribute were WWE, Vice President JD Vance, and fellow former star wrestler Jake 'The Snake' Roberts. Children Nick and Brooke each paid tribute to their famous father. Last week, Nick Hogan penned an emotional Instagram tribute to his "best friend" and "best dad in the world." Brooke broke her silence on her father's death earlier this week on Instagram, reflecting on their bond, which she says "has never broken, not even in his final moments." "I know he's at peace now, out of pain, and in a place as beautiful as he imagined. He used to speak about this moment with such wonder and hope," she wrote. "Like meeting God was the greatest championship he'd ever have." Get notified when the biggest stories in Hollywood, culture and entertainment go live. Sign up for L.A. Times entertainment alerts.
