‘ShashtiPoorthi' trailer unveiled: A celebration of family values and cultural legacy
The trailer opened on a poignant note, highlighting the deep emotional bonds between parents and children. Dialogue such as 'A mother is someone we love without even knowing who she is' and 'It is my duty to correct what is wrong… Protecting justice is my profession' set the tone for a story rich in values and introspection. Rajendra Prasad's moving line — 'Don't talk about change when you love habits, not the person' — struck an emotional chord, with the trailer concluding on intense and thought-provoking notes.
MLAs Gadde Ramamohan and Bode Prasad graced the event as chief guests. Gadde lauded Rajendra Prasad's timeless charm and reflected on how films like Aa Naluguru preserved societal values. Bode Prasad, attending a film event for the first time, expressed admiration for Rajendra Prasad and lyricist Chaitanya Prasad, hoping for the film's grand success.
Rajendra Prasad humorously acknowledged being typecast for age-appropriate roles, quipping about his own ShashtiPoorthi. He praised the team and highlighted the unique theme of children witnessing their parents' remarriage — a rare cinematic celebration of Telugu culture.
The cast and crew shared heartfelt anecdotes. Rupeysh credited director Pavan for bringing the story to life and said he now only wants to work with Rajendra Prasad. He also thanked veterans like Ilaiyaraaja and Thota Tharani for lending their artistic genius to the film. Archana recalled working with Rajendra Prasad after two decades, while Akanksha Singh expressed deep emotional attachment to her role. Lyricist Chaitanya Prasad shared his humbling experience working with Ilaiyaraaja.
With soulful music, strong performances, and a culturally resonant narrative, ShashtiPoorthi is shaping up to be a film that touches hearts and celebrates traditions. The film hits screens on May 30.

Nora Fatehi On Tamil Debut With Kanchana 4: ‘Language Is A Challenge, But…'
Nora Fatehi is all set for her Tamil debut with Kanchana 4. She calls language a challenge but embraces it, sharing excitement about stepping into Tamil cinema. Nora Fatehi is all set for her Tamil debut as the actor joins Kanchana 4 as the female lead. Kanchana 4 is one of the much-awaited films, and joining it as a lead, especially in a debut, is quite exciting for Nora. She is embracing this new phase of her career with enthusiasm. While talking to Hindustan Times about why she chose Kanchana 4, Nora Fatehi shares, 'When Kanchana 4 was offered to me, I immediately felt it was the right project to step into Tamil cinema. The franchise already has such a strong legacy, and the script was so unique that I wanted to be part of it. I was looking to be a part of another comedy after the success of Madgaon Express." Language has been a challenge, but Nora isn't one to shy away from experiments. 'Of course, language is always a challenge, but I love challenges. It's definitely the hardest so far, but I spend extra hours rehearsing," she explains. With experience in Malayalam and Telugu industries too, Nora reflects on the differences she's noticed. 'Every industry has its own flavour. Tamil cinema is very rooted in storytelling, and there's a lot of emphasis on performance and strong scripts. Bollywood, on the other hand, has its own larger-than-life energy. Both industries are passionate about cinema, but the styles of working, the audience expectations, and even the filmmaking processes feel slightly different. For me, it's exciting to experience and learn from both worlds." All you need to know about Nora Fatehi Nora Fatehi was raised in Toronto by her Moroccan parents. Pawan Kalyan's fantasy epic Hari Hara Veera Mallu finally makes its streaming debut. Here's when and where to watch
Pawan Kalyan's latest release, 'Hari Hara Veera Mallu', is finally making its way to streaming after its theatrical run. The Telugu period adventure epic directed by Krish Jagarlamudi and Jyoti Krishna was the much-anticipated release for Pawan Kalyan, since taking over as Andhra Pradesh's Deputy Chief Minister. Hari Hara Veera Mallu had a stacked cast consisting of Bobby Deol, Anupam Kher, and Nidhi Agarwal, among several known others, and the mythological fantasy elements promised a stellar big-screen experience. However, the film found little critical acclaim on releasing. Also Read | Hari Hara Veera Mallu box office collection day 5: Pawan Kalyan film tanks on first Monday, earns less than Rs 3 cr; unlikely to withstand Kingdom storm The film will be streaming on Amazon Prime from today. The dubbed versions in Tamil, Kannada, and Malayalam will also be available on Prime Video. Amazon Prime took to their official Twitter handle just hours before the film's streaming debut to post, 'A tale of rebellion, rage, and righteousness. The storm that started in theatres now takes over your screens.' The movie dropped on the platform at midnight on August 20 and took social media by surprise with the sudden announcement. As often is the case with big-ticket Telugu movies, Hari Hara Veera Mallu too had a short theatrical window and is hitting the home screens in under a month from its big screen run. The film garnered mostly cold responses at the time of its release and was heavily criticized for its shoddy VFX work and clumsy storytelling. Hari Hara Veera Mallu tells the story of an outlaw who sets out to hunt down Mughal Emperor Aurangzeb's 'Kohinoor' diamond. The action epic did not live up to its pre-release hype and ended up underperforming in theatres. The OTT release will finally give a section of the fans of the superstar to catch up with this lesser-seen action spectacle.

Actor Mahesh Babu's NGO Mahesh Babu Foundation gets FCRA nod
The Union Ministry of Home Affairs has granted registration to Telugu actor Mahesh Babu's NGO, Mahesh Babu Foundation, under the Foreign Contribution Regulation Act (FCRA), 2010, to receive donations from foreign countries. An MHA official said earlier this month that they have granted FCRA registration to the Mahesh Babu Foundation. After granting this, MHA has granted FCRA registration to 389 organisations. Mahesh Babu, who entered the film industry in the late 1990s, has been an influential celebrity, actively supporting surgeries for children with heart ailments and is vocal about causes like education for girls and women's empowerment. The Foundation has been providing financial assistance to families with newborn babies with heart ailments, helping poor children afford education, and adopting and developing villages into smart villages. 'Mahesh Babu was inspired to start the foundation after the birth of his son Gautam, who was born prematurely and had to be treated in the NICU for several days. Mahesh Babu's motivation to support hospitalization and treatment for children came from the fact that there are families who cannot afford expensive treatments. He has funded over 2000+ heart surgeries in collaboration with Andhra Hospitals and Rainbow Hospitals,' it said. A query has been sent to Mahesh Babu Foundation, based in Hyderabad, Telangana, and its response is awaited. Data shows that of the approximately 16,248 organisations that have received FCRA registration, 20,724 have been cancelled, and 15,068 have been deemed expired to date. State-wise breakup of all types of FCRA associations shows that the highest number of FCRA registrations is in Tamil Nadu with 6,735, followed by Maharashtra with 5,424, Andhra Pradesh with 4,264, West Bengal with 4,243, and Karnataka with 3,851. In May, MHA had amended the rules under the FCRA, and henceforth, NGOs engaged in publication-related activities and receiving foreign contributions will not be able to publish any newsletter and must get a certificate from the Registrar of Newspapers for India stating that it does not circulate any news content. In a notification, the ministry said under the amended rules, NGOs seeking permission to receive foreign funding must give an undertaking that they will adhere to the Good Practice Guidelines of the Financial Action Task Force (FATF).
