Motorola launches Razr 60 flip-style foldable in India at Rs 49,999: Specs
Motorola has launched its flip-style foldable Razr 60 smartphone in India. Priced at Rs 49,999, the smartphone is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 7400X chip and features a 3.6-inch pOLED cover display with Gemini AI support. The company has improved the durability of the smartphone with Corning Gorilla Glass Victus protection up front and an IP48 rating for dust and water resistance.
Motorola Razr 60: Price and availability
The new Motorola Razr 60 is available in a single variant with 8GB RAM and 256GB on-board storage. Priced at Rs 49,999, the smartphone is available in three Pantone-validated colourways: Lightest Sky (Pearl Marble Finish), Gibraltar Sea (Fabric Finish) and Spring Bud (Premium Vegan Leather Finish).
The smartphone will be available from June 4 on the company's official website, e-commerce platform Flipkart, and select retailers such as Reliance Digital.
Motorola Razr 60: Details
Motorola said that the Razr 60 is the only flip-style foldable smartphone in its segment with support for Google Gemini AI on the external display. Besides Google's AI, Motorola also offers proprietary AI features on the cover screen such as Catch Me Up for personalised summaries, Pay Attention for live transcription, and more. The 3.6-inch pOLED cover display also comes with support for 90Hz refresh rate and Corning Gorilla Glass Victus protection.
The main display is a 6.96-inch FHD+ pOLED display with dynamic refresh rate adjustments up to 120Hz, and a peak brightness level of 3,000 nits. Regarding the folding mechanism of the smartphone, the company said that it has used a titanium-reinforced hinge certified by SGS for over 500,000 folds.
The Motorola Razr 60 is also the first flip phone in its segment to feature premium Pearl Marble and Fabric finishing, offering a unique look and in-hand feel. The company said that the Pearl Marble finish offers a smooth feel with a marble-like shimmer, while the Gibraltar Sea edition showcases a fabric-inspired texture with a refined interwoven pattern. The smartphone is also available in a Spring Bud variant with a vegan leather finish.
For imaging, the smartphone features a 50MP primary camera with optical image stabilisation, coupled with a 13MP ultra-wide-angle lens that also doubles up as a macro camera. At the front, the smartphone features a 32MP shooter. Powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 7400X chip, the smartphone packs a 4,500mAh battery that supports 30W wired charging.

Charging ahead: EVs zoom in India with more public charging stations
Electric vehicles in India are gaining pace, supported by strong government initiatives. The Ministry of Heavy Industries launched the PM Electric Drive Revolution in Innovative Vehicle Enhancement (PM E-DRIVE) scheme in September 2024 to boost EV adoption, expand charging infrastructure, and develop the domestic EV manufacturing sector. The scheme has a budget of Rs 10,900 crore over two years, from October 2024 to March 2026, with Rs 2,000 crore earmarked specifically for setting up public EV charging stations upDelhi leads the country in electricity consumption for EV charging. According to the Central Electricity Authority, India consumed 763 million units of electricity at EV charging stations between April 2024 and February 2025. Delhi alone accounted for 40.1 per cent of that. Maharashtra and Karnataka followed with 192.3 and 64.7 million units, respectively, while Gujarat ranked fourth. Combined, these four states represent over 80 per cent of the nation's electricity use for EV charging. From 2017 to 2024, India has witnessed a steady rise in the number of publicly available EV charging points, both slow and fast, as highlighted in the International Energy Agency's Global EV Outlook 2024 report. In 2017, the country had only 220 slow chargers. By 2024, this number surged to 47,000. Slow chargers usually take 6–8 hours to charge cars and are mostly used at homes or workplaces. Fast charging points, on the other hand, grew in number from just 25 in 2018 to 28,000 in 2024. Projections indicate that by 2030, India will have over two lakh publicly available slow chargers and nearly 1.6 lakh fast availability of public EV charging stations varies widely across states. Delhi has 8.8 charging stations per lakh people, Karnataka has 8.4, and Goa has 8.6. However, Maharashtra only has 2.9 charging stations per lakh people, Rajasthan 1.4, and Gujarat like Bihar, Jharkhand, and West Bengal also have inadequate charging facilities relative to their population size. If you're planning to buy a new smartphone right now, it may be prudent to wait a while, with June shaping up to be a month of power-packed launches, from the OnePlus 13s to the Infinix GT 30 Pro and even the Vivo T4 Ultra. Here's a look at all the phones expected to debut in India next month. The Infinix GT 30 Pro is set to debut in India on 3 June. It will be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 8350 processor — the same chipset that powers Motorola's Edge 60 Pro, which launched in India last month. The phone features what Infinix calls a 'Cyber Mecha Design', with white lighting on the Blade White variant and RGB lighting on the Dark Flare version. It also comes with shoulder triggers to offer users more control while gaming. While more details about the GT 30 Pro remain under wraps for now, its global debut has already given us a fair idea of what to expect from this new gaming-focused device. Vivo has confirmed that the T4 Ultra will launch in India soon, featuring a periscope telephoto camera with up to 100x zoom. According to leaks, it could be powered by the Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 processor, the same SoC used in the recently launched iQOO Neo 10 (Review). The phone may come with LPDDR5X RAM, UFS 4.0 storage and a massive 7,550mAh battery with 90W wired fast charging. On the camera front, the Poco F7 is expected to offer a 50MP primary sensor with OIS, an 8MP ultra wide angle lens and a 20MP selfie shooter. The OnePlus Nord CE 5 has already received BIS (Bureau of Indian Standards) certification in India and is expected to launch in June. According to leaks, the device could sport a 6.78-inch flat Full HD+ OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. It may be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 8350 processor and pack a 7,100mAh battery. In terms of optics, the Nord CE 5 could feature a 50MP Sony LYT-600 primary camera and an 8MP Sony IMX355 ultra-wide lens.
