Despite suffering from an Achilles injury earlier in the season, Kim remained a core figure in Bayern's defensive plans for the rest of the campaign.
However, due to the arrival of Jonathan Tah on a free transfer from Bayer Leverkusen, manager Vincent Kompany may be open to letting Kim depart, especially if it benefits all parties.
Al‑Nassr are now working on a deal to bring Kim to Riyadh, viewing him as a prime candidate to replace the soon-to-depart Aymeric Laporte and bolster their AFC Champions League ambitions.
Kim's experience in Europe's top leagues, having excelled in Serie A and the Bundesliga, would bring invaluable leadership to Al-Nassr's backline.

With the Saudi Pro League continuing its aggressive recruitment strategy, Kim could become the latest name to join the exodus from Europe to the Middle East.
A move to Saudi Arabia would provide both financial reward and the prospect of regular playing time, which are both important factors for the 28-year-old as he enters the peak years of his career.
While negotiations are still ongoing and are expected to continue in the coming weeks, Al-Nassr will be buoyed by Kim's reported desire to move to the Middle East.
Al-Nassr are working on reinforcements in several positions and remain keen on bringing in a new left-sided winger.
Luis Diaz is the prime target for the Knights of Najd, who have also been linked with Rafael Leao.

Inter Milan star defender Benjamin Pavard could reportedly join Turkish heavyweights Galatasaray in the coming weeks. According to L'Equipe via FCInter1908, the Serie A runners-up are open to selling the French ace for the right price. Benjamin Pavard swapped Bayern Munich for Inter in the summer of 2023 for a reported fee of €30 million. Report – Genoa Midfielder Enthusiastic About Joining Inter Milan But Nerazzurri Must Sell First
Genoa captain Morten Frendrup is reportedly enthusiastic about joining Inter Milan, but Piotr Zielinski must leave first. According to Secolo XIX via FCInter1908, the Nerazzurri must offload the Polish star before pursuing the Dane's signature. Piotr Zielinski joined Inter last summer as one of the most highly-rated midfielders in Europe, let alone Serie A. However, the 31-year-old struggled for form and match fitness during his first season at San Siro. Therefore, the 20-time Italian champions have decided to put him on the market. Inter Milan Must Sell Piotr Zielinski Before Pursuing Morten Frendrup MILAN, ITALY – OCTOBER 27: Piotr Zielinski of FC Internazionale celebrates with Lautaro Martinez after scoring his team's first goal from a penalty kick during the Serie A match between FC Internazionale and Juventus at Stadio Giuseppe Meazza on October 27, 2024 in Milan, Italy. (Photo by) Despite being open to selling Zielinski, Inter have failed to drum up interest in the former Napoli ace. As such, their hopes of signing Frendrup are currently on hold. Furthermore, Beppe Marotta remains hellbent on signing Atalanta's wantaway forward, Ademola Lookman. Indeed, Inter won't turn their attention to other targets until they bring one of this summer's longest transfer sagas to a close. Time is ticking away, and the Nerazzurri must find a resolution quickly. Only then will they turn to other targets, including Frendrup, who is keen to continue his career at San Siro.

Report – Atalanta Pursuit Of Fulham Forward Could Unlock Talks With Inter Milan Over Nigeria Star
Atalanta are pursuing Rodrigo Muniz in a move that could reopen negotiations with Inter Milan over Ademola Lookman. According to Ivan Zazzaroni via FCInterNews, La Dea's talks with Fulham could unblock the Nigerian's transfer to San Siro. Inter's quest to sign Ademola Lookman has hit a brick wall after Atalanta rejected their €45 million bid earlier in August. However, the Serie A runners-up have not dropped interest in the 27-year-old forward. Instead, they're working around the clock to unlock discussions. Atalanta Pursuit of Rodrigo Muniz to Help Reopen Talks with Inter Milan over Ademola Lookman BERGAMO, ITALY – APRIL 13: Ademola Lookman during the Serie A match between Atalanta and Bologna at Gewiss Stadium on April 13, 2025 in Bergamo, Italy. (Photo by Pier) Despite their firm stance, Atalanta seem to have reconciled with losing the versatile forward this summer. Indeed, Luca Percassi is in advanced talks with Fulham over Rodrigo Muniz's transfer to the Gewiss Stadium. Although the Cottagers turned down La Dea's opening €40 million bid, Percassi is not giving up. On the contrary, he is in London, working to strike a deal with the Premier League side. Muniz's transfer to Atalanta would likely hand a decisive boost to Inter's hopes of signing Lookman.
