The UK's scam hotspots have been revealed, as a whopping four in 10 Brits admit they have never recovered money stolen by fraudsters.
AI scams (including deepfake videos) and fake concert tickets were voted as some of the most common ways people experienced fraud, in a new survey by Yaspa.

AI and concert ticket scams are among the most popular ways fraudsters steal cash
As AI technology continues to improve, there has been an increase in scammers posing as celebs, and fleecing well-meaning Brits out of cash.
Back in June, the Home Office revealed that a whopping £1.6million was lost by Brits getting scammed out of concert tickets in 2024.
Thousands of Oasis fans reported a surge in scams, after the legendary band announced their long awaited reunion tour last year.
Online shopping and Facebook marketplace scams were also cited as some of the most prevalent incidences of fraud.
The survey reveals that London is top of the list of fraud hotspots, with a whopping 41% of residents surveyed reporting being victims of scams in the last 12 months.
Second on the list is Manchester, where 40% revealed they had been targeted by scammers.
Nottingham takes the 3rd spot, with 39% of respondents reporting being victims of scams.
Rounding off the top five, 38% of people in both Cardiff and Bristol reported incidents with fraudsters.
The survey also revealed that, shockingly, only 19% of victims were able to fully recover 100% of what was lost to scams.
The average amount that Brits reported losing was a whopping £765, with the average amount returned at just 34%.

Although AI is making it easier than ever for scammers to exploit people, 75% of Brits believe they are "confident" enough to spot fraud in action.
Sarah Ahle, Head of Compliance & Deputy MLRO at Yaspa said: "Worrying about money and financial stress can be all-consuming, even at the best of times, but if you've ever been a victim of fraud or have lost money that you need to get through the month to crime, this feeling can be overwhelming.
'Being able to spot the red flags of a typical scam or being aware of more secure payment methods over others can be vital and easy to learn steps in stopping criminals from getting their hands on your money.'

Nigel Farage 's 'dangerous and irresponsible' plans to scrap online safety laws would have let 90 vile criminals off the hook, Labour claimed last night. Home Office Minister Jess Phillips cited new details of people convicted under the Online Safety Act to claim that Reform UK's pledge to scrap it would ensure 'the internet remains a Wild West'. She referred to official figures showing that between January and December 2024, at least 90 people had been convicted – including at least 22 custodial sentences - under offences set out in the Act. That included the first-ever conviction for 'cyber-flashing' when a 39-year-old man was given a jail sentence of 66 weeks after sending indecent unsolicited photos to two women . And a 22-year-old man became the first person under the new law to be charged with encouraging self-harm online. Ms Phillips, who is Minister for Safeguarding and Violence Against Women and Girls, claimed that Mr Farage was 'risking the safety of women and girls with his dangerous and irresponsible plans' to scrap the existing legislation. 'More than 90 criminals have already been convicted, with many put behind bars - leaving women and girls safer as a result. 'These vile and misogynistic crimes have no place in our society.' But the attack comes just weeks after Technology Secretary Peter Kyle suggested that by opposing the Government's online safety laws, the Reform party leader was on the side of sex offenders like Jimmy Savile. And last night, Reform leader Mr Farage – who has already demanded an apology over the Savile remark – angrily accused Labour of 'now getting desperate'. He told the Mail on Sunday: 'There are no depths to which they will not sink to attack me personally - because they know we are destroying them electorally in the Midlands and the North of England.' Mr Farage said that if Labour really cared about women's safety, they would tackle the migrants' crisis and not allow each week for 'hundreds of young males from Afghanistan, Iraq, Syria, who regard women as being mere commodities' to be put in hotels 'free to wander our streets'. He admitted that no-one had yet found a solution to policing the internet. But he said that a future Reform government would put 'tech experts' like the party's former chairman Zia Yusuf in charge of getting the answers. The online safety came into force during the last Tory government in 2023. However, Labour claimed that since it came to power last year, the number of convictions under the Act had rocketed by 270 per cent. Mr Farage said that if Labour really cared about women's safety, they would tackle the migrants' crisis and not allow each week for 'hundreds of young males from Afghanistan, Iraq, Syria, who regard women as being mere commodities' to be put in hotels Labour pointed out that many of the crimes covered by the online safety laws disproportionately affected women. They referred to YouGov research which found that four in 10 young women aged 18-34 had been sent unsolicited sex images. And the Revenge Porn Helpline found that women had 28 times more intimate images shared than men. Labour said that the Online Safety Act makes the sharing of intimate images without consent a 'priority offence', the most serious class of online crime.

The shooter also left his ex-wife seriously injured in the terrifying attack in Naples, Italy. The 69-year-old gunman reportedly shot and killed his ex-wife's partner, 48, and her 63-year-old mum, who was a Ukrainian national. He then reportedly chased and shot his ex-wife, 42, who was also of Ukrainian origin. She is currently at the Rizzolo hospital in Lacco Ameno. The attacker was also rushed to hospital after he turned the gun on himself, and died later. The shocking attack took place on Saturday at around 6:30pm on the island of Ischia in the Cuotto area in Forio. Local cops said the area is still cordoned off while they continue to investigate the circumstances of the attack. State police and volunteers are helping with the investigation. The shocking attack comes after a shooting left a mobster's niece dead in a nightclub as part of a suspected mafia war last year. Antonia Lopez, 19, was reportedly killed as scores were being settled between gangs involved in drug trafficking and extortion. Man, 50, killed in drive-by shooting outside petrol station as cops release CCTV in hunt for car 'with false plates' The young woman was gunned down at Bahia nightclub in Puglia, Italy, as Michele Lavopa, 21, allegedly sought to kill a different man - Eugenio Palermiti, 21. Lavopa handed himself into police after his mother convinced him to and confessed, La Gazzetta del Mezzogiorno reported. He has now been charged with voluntary homicide, quadruple attempted homicide, and possession and carrying of a firearm. The three involved were all scions of different criminal gangs, with Lopez pals with target Palermiti. And in 2021, two young brothers were killed by a crazed shooter, with the boys holding their father's hand as they died. David and Daniel Fusinato, aged five and 10, were shot while playing in the street in the Italian town Ardea, near Rome. Their grandmother, Sonia di Gennaro, said the boys' dad - Domenico - was with them until the very end. She told Italian newspaper La Stampa: "They died holding their father's hand. "The ambulance arrived too late, it took half an hour."
