ITCZ to bring scattered rains over Mindanao, E. Visayas, Palawan

An Intertropical Convergence Zone (ITCZ) affecting Mindanao on Sunday will bring scattered rains over the area as well as over Eastern Visayas and Palawan, according to PAGASA's weather forecast.
These areas will also have cloudy skies and thunderstorms. Moderate to at times heavy rains may possibly result in flash floods or landslides.
The easterlies meanwhile will prevail over all other areas, causing partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms over Metro Manila and the rest of the country. During severe thunderstorms, flash floods or landslides may result.
Coastal waters will be slight to moderate throughout the country.

Meanwhile, the following areas may experience light to moderate with occasional heavy rains within the next 3 hours: Nueva Ecija, Tarlac (Concepcion, Anao, Tarlac City, Gerona, La Paz, Paniqui, Pura, Ramos, San Manuel, Victoria, Camiling, Mayantoc, Moncada, San Clemente, Santa Ignacia) Zambales(Candelaria, Iba, Masinloc, Palauig, Santa Cruz) Flood updates from MMDA The Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA), on Friday, also reported flooding in the following areas as of 4:00 p.m.: MANDALUYONG CITY EDSA Ortigas Svc. A low pressure area (LPA) has been monitored inside the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) as of Friday morning, state weather bureau PAGASA said. As of 8 a.m., PAGASA said the LPA has a 'medium' chance of developing into a tropical depression within the next 24 hours. The LPA was last spotted 480 kilometers east of Eastern Visayas. The trough of the Low Pressure Area (LPA), which was estimated at 945 kilometers east of Eastern Visayas, will bring cloudy skies with scattered rains over Bicol, Visayas and Mindanao while the Habagat or southwest monsoon will affect the rest of Luzon and the western sections of Visayas and Mindanao, PAGASA reported. Metro Manila, CALABARZON, MIMAROPA, Western Visayas, Negros Island Region, Zamboanga Peninsula, BARMM, and SOCCSKSARGEN will have cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms due to the southwest monsoon while flash floods or landslides may occur due to moderate to heavy rains. Bicol Region and the rest of Visayas and Mindanao will have cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms due to the trough of LPA with the possibility that flash floods or landslides will occur due to moderate to at times heavy rains. The rest of Luzon will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms due to the southwest monsoon while flash floods or landslides may occur during severe thunderstorms. The eastern sections of Southern Luzon and Visayas will experience light to moderate wind speed moving in the northeast to northwest direction with slight to moderate coastal waters. The rest of Luzon will experience light to moderate wind speed moving in the southwest to south direction with slight to moderate coastal waters. The rest of the country will experience light to moderate wind speed moving in the southwest to west direction while coastal waters will be slight to moderate.
