RJD, the leader of Bihar's Opposition alliance, termed the interim order as a victory of the Constitution. RJD MP Manoj Kumar Jha, who is also a petitioner in the court against SIR, said: "ECI had ignored two earlier directions from the SC, including on Aadhaar card. Now the SC has given a specific order on this. They will now also have to make available all deleted data everywhere, including on the website, panchayat bhavans, etc. This will help those whose names have been deleted from the list to know the reasons for that. This is again a win for the Constitution as a cloud that was hovering over the right to vote is dispersing".
Another petitioner, AICC general secretary (organisation) KC Venugopal, termed the SC order as "a massive victory for democracy and a huge message for the vote chors".

He said an Independent India too has its duty towards the entire world, which is facing innumerable problems and is unable to overcome them since 2,000 years."Our ancestors ensured India's Independence by making supreme sacrifices. However, the world is faltering. It is our duty to provide the world with a solution and create a new world filled with happiness and peace based on our vision, rooted in religious principles," Bhagwat said there are environmental issues and quarrels across the such a situation, it is India's duty to guide others, resolve issues and make the world peaceful and prosperous as a Vishwa Guru," he said. Noting that "Swatantra" (independence) is a combination of two words - "Swa" (self) and "Tantra" (governance), Bhagwat said the country has become independent and people are now running the government.
