Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan has introduced a groundbreaking programme aimed at addressing public issues directly. He engaged with residents during face-to-face meetings from his camp office in Mangalagiri, broadcasting live via silver screens. This initiative, named Mana Ooru - Mata Manti, allowed him to interact with villagers from Ravivalasa in the Tekkali mandal of Srikakulam district, seeking feedback on their concerns.
Kalyan has instructed senior officials to ensure that villagers' problems are resolved promptly, earning widespread admiration from the local community for utilising technology as a means to alleviate their hardships.
The coalition government, led by Chandrababu, is noted for its rapid response to state-wide issues, including accidents and local grievances. Recently, farmers in the agency areas of Chittoor and Vizianagaram districts reported significant distress caused by elephants. The plight of these farmers was relayed to Deputy CM Kalyan, who promptly contacted the Karnataka government to request the transfer of six Kunki elephants to Andhra Pradesh.
In response, the Andhra Pradesh government has successfully signed an agreement with Karnataka, resulting in the handover of four Kunki elephants to Deputy CM Pawan Kalyan in Bengaluru on Wednesday.

Pawan Kalyan said the comments were not just personal opinions, but a calculated attempt to demean Amaravati, women residing in the capital region, and its rich Buddhist heritage. 'The TV news channel cannot wash its hands off by maintaining that the opinions expressed by the journalist are his personal. It neither condemned nor distanced itself from the insulting remarks,' he said. Highlighting Amaravati's deep spiritual and historical roots, Pawan Kalyan recalled that the region flourished during the period of Acharya Nagarjuna, and was revered by Buddhists across Asia. He noted the presence of Mauryan, Ikshvaku and Kakatiya inscriptions, and the praise it received from Chinese traveller Hiuen Tsang. Pawan Kalyan also asserted the inclusive nature of the capital project, noting that 32% of land contributors are SC/ST farmers, 14% BCs, 20% Reddys, 18% Kammas, 9% Kapus, and 3% Muslims. 'Insulting Amaravati is insulting those communities, and their contributions,' he observed. Pawan Kalyan warned of strict legal action against those behind the disgraceful comments, and larger conspiracy to malign Amaravati.

Pawan Kalyan distributes safety kits to electricians, pledges enhanced worker protection
VIJAYAWADA: Deputy Chief Minister and Jana Sena president Konidala Pawan Kalyan on Sunday distributed safety kits to 325 private electricians in Pithapuram Assembly constituency. The Dy CM reaffirmed the TDP-led NDA government's commitment to worker safety following the recent electrocution death of Dalit youth Pallapu Suresh in Mallam village. At a meeting held at his Mangalagiri camp office, Deputy Pawan Kalyan said, 'The sweat of the working class is the true wealth of this country.' The kits included insulated gloves, shoes, jackets and essential tools. He announced a compensation package of Rs 4 lakh for families of workers who die in accidents and Rs 2 lakh each under the Pradhan Mantri Suraksha Bima Yojana and Chandranna Beema. Panchayat Raj Commissioner Krishna Teja revealed that a decade-old GO was revised to provide broader insurance coverage, now extended to one crore unemployed workers.

Safety kits distributed to electricians of Pithapuram
Mangalagiri: Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan on Sunday emphasised the importance of safety and security for electricians, who often risk their lives in their profession. He also announced plans to organise job fairs for unemployed youth in the Pithapuram constituency every three months. Speaking at a meeting with 325 private electricians from across the Pithapuram constituency at his camp office in Mangalagiri, Pawan Kalyan distributed safety kits designed to protect them in their workplaces. Each kit includes essential electrical tools, rubber gloves, safety shoes, and a jacket. Recalling a recent tragedy, Pawan Kalyan stated, 'The accidental death of Pallapu Suresh, a Dalit youth working as an electrician in Mallam village, Pithapuram constituency, last April, deeply disturbed me. Suresh died from electrocution while performing electrical repair work at someone's home. His death left his family without a breadwinner and in profound grief, while also leading to various conflicts within the village.' A close examination of the circumstances surrounding Suresh's death highlighted two critical issues: his poverty and the lack of essential safety equipment, which directly contributed to his demise. The second issue was the absence of adequate financial security for his family in the event of an accidental death. 'Determined to prevent such incidents from recurring, we are distributing safety kits to all 325 private electricians in the Pithapuram constituency,' Pawan stated. 'I urge all electricians to diligently use these safety devices when performing electrical work. No one else should die from electrocution at the workplace.' Beyond immediate safety, arrangements have also been made for financial compensation. 'Even with safety measures, if a life is lost, we have made provisions to provide Rs 2 lakh through the Pradhan Mantri Suraksha Bima Yojana, implemented by the Union Ministry of Labour and Employment, and another Rs 2 lakh through Chandranna Bima,' he announced. Commissioner of the Panchayat Raj Department Krishnateja elaborated on recent changes in compensation. 'Three months ago, three labourers died after being hit by an auto. We provided Rs 50,000 compensation per person as per the existing government order,' he said. 'Upon learning of this, Pawan Kalyan revised a ten-year-old government order ensuring affected families now receive Rs 2 lakh in compensation.' Furthermore, deeming Rs 2 lakh insufficient, Pawan Kalyan initiated a week-long drive to provide insurance to one crore labourers. 'In the future, if any labourer dies accidentally, their family will receive Rs 4 lakh in compensation.' Kakinada district collector Sagili Shan Mohan stated that the government has decided to revive the welfare board for construction workers.
