JoJo Siwa reveals text she sent Miley Cyrus as she responds to her ‘not very good' sexuality joke
Miley Cyrus can't be tamed – and JoJo Siwa is clapping back.
The dancer slammed Cyrus' recent 'not very good' joke about her sexuality in a lengthy Instagram post on Friday.
'I was happy at my 5th birthday having a Miley themed party, and I'm still happy now at 22,' the Dance Moms star wrote via Instagram of Cyrus, her 'day one' inspiration.
'I wasn't sure how I felt about things for a couple of days … but I've started to come to some thoughts,' Siwa continued, referencing the Hannah Montana star's viral quip at Sunday's Dreamland Pride Festival.
In a video, Cyrus, 32, told attendees Siwa needed to get 'back out of' the closet.
The reality star, notably, is dating her fellow Celebrity Big Brother UK cast member Chris Hughes after revealing she no longer identifies as a lesbian but as queer.
'I don't believe what Miley said at world pride was ill intended, honestly I think it was meant to be a joke, but just not very good one haha,' Siwa noted. 'Not what the world, or myself needs to hear anyday of the week.'
When Siwa 'messaged Miley light heartedly about it,' the former Disney Channel star replied, 'All love. Always.'
Siwa continued, 'Honestly the most beautiful thing I've learned in the last 5 years is that love is a gorgeous rainbow. Don't question yourself, don't second guess yourself, just love. Love love love love love.'
She concluded, 'People judge no matter what, and it can be very hard, especially when it comes from someone you love, and look up to … but if you feel happy and content with yourself, that's most important. You get one life … hold onto it, make it yours, find your happy, and love.'
Cyrus has yet to respond to Page Six's request for comment.
Cyrus' comment was met with backlash over the weekend as social media users reminded the actress, who identifies as pansexual, that 'bisexuality is a thing.'
One wrote, 'JoJo never went back into the closet. … JoJo being with Chris doesn't erase or change her attraction to women.'
Other fans, however, defended Cyrus for 'just joking.'
Cyrus came out publicly in 2016 while in a relationship with ex-husband Liam Hemsworth, and she has been with boyfriend Maxx Morando since 2021.
Siwa came out earlier that same year.
Although the Karma singer was dating Aussie content creator Kath Ebbs when she began filming CBBUK in April, the duo called it quits at the Season 24 wrap party after Siwa's flirty connection with Hughes, 32, made headlines.
She and the Love Island UK star finally confirmed earlier this month that their bond is not platonic, with Siwa calling herself 'head over heels.'

JoJo Siwa clarifies sexuality after starting up a relationship with Chris Hughes
JoJo Siwa wants to describe herself as "queer" amid her new relationship with Chris Hughes. The 22-year-old star - who has previously been romantically involved with the likes of Kylie Prew and Dakayla Wilson - has been dating former Love Island contestant Chris Hughes, 32, since they met on the UK version of Celebrity Big Brother and has decided to use an "umbrella" term to describe her oritentation. She told E! News: "I think the most beautiful term now is queer. "I think queer is an umbrella of, 'Look, I'm just me.' And I think the most beautiful thing about the LGBTQIA community is love is love. And that goes both ways. "There's loads of beautiful, different sexualities. Sexuality and queerness is a lovely rainbow that has all different places, and it also has places on this rainbow that we don't even know exist yet.." The Karma hitmaker added that she just feels "so content" with where she is in her personal life right now and insisted that she "can't really help" who she falls in love with. She added: "I feel so in the right position for myself. I feel so content with my happiness. I feel so relaxed and at ease with where I'm at. I feel so happy and peaceful that the love that I feel is so real. You can't really help who you fall in love with." Even though though the pair previously insisted they were just "platonic soulmates", she's admitted they are now more than friends and she couldn't be happier. Asked if their bond is platonic or romantic, JoJo paused for some time before she told The Guardian newspaper: 'It's not platonic any more, and it's been a beautiful development, a beautiful connection, and I'm absolutely head over heels for him and he's the same way.' JoJo dismissed speculation her relationship with Chris is a "PR stunt". She said: 'Clearly, you've never been around us. I won't ever speak for him, but for me personally, the happiness in my life just radiates off of me right now. Literally yesterday, I was massaging my cheeks; I've never [before] been in pain from smiling so much.'

The Undertaker reveals ‘terrifying' heart condition he never knew he had
WWE legend The Undertaker has bravely opened up about how a lifesaving heart operation helped him escape death. The Hall of Fame wrestler, whose real name is Mark Calaway, retired back in 2020 after one of the most legendary careers in sport's entertainment. He was a staple piece of WWE for decades and has since continued to give back through his Six Feet Under podcast and ambassadorial role for the company. In the weeks leading up to the WrestleMania 41 weekend in April, Calaway was quietly battling something far more real than the on-screen storylines of the wrestling world. According to his wife Michelle McCool, the warning signs began in March, when routine cardiac tests flagged something off with her husband's heart, The Sun reports. Follow-up checks revealed Taker had likely been in chronic atrial fibrillation (AFib) for an unknown length of time. The 60-year-old had no noticeable symptoms beyond occasional breathlessness — something he'd chalked up to nothing serious. He was eventually hospitalised for four nights with an ejection fraction (a measure of how much blood the heart pumps with each beat) of just 30 per cent — a dangerously low number for a man of his size and age. And yet, even with his heart rate unstable, Taker insisted on going to WrestleMania two weeks later, to be there for McCool's Hall of Fame induction — and to induct her personally. McCool, a two-time WWE Women's Champion, said on the Six Feet Under podcast: 'You weren't supposed to go anywhere. You didn't want me to tell anybody. 'That's that old school mentality. I'm not mad at it — because I'd probably be the same patient — but it was terrifying. 'The next morning after returning home from WrestleMania, we were in the hospital in Las Vegas at 6am for a little bit of heart surgery.' Taker, whose older brother died from a heart attack in 2020, then begrudging admitted: 'I wasn't supposed to go to Vegas.' McCool, who is Taker's third wife, added: 'You didn't want me to tell anybody. I couldn't focus on anything else. 'All I wanted to focus on was you, your heart, getting the best cardiologists, a lot of phone calls, several nights in the hospital. And by the grace of God, you are here. 'But out of the words of the doctor himself 'it could have turned out badly if we had not found out that very day'.' Taker then coyly joked: 'Yeah, well now I'm as strong as a Bull.' Before McCool, who is 15 years his junior, joked back: 'And thankfully you can still pretend that you're a dead man. Because I saved your life.'
