Even more fencing went up in downtown Dayton overnight.
'We feel like we're caged in rats, somebody's lab experiment,' Tami Campbell, of Dayton, said.
She explained that she's now walking seven blocks to get to a store that's a block and a half away.
'We shouldn't have to go the long way around Robin Hood's barn to get to the grocery store, to pick up medication, to do anything,' she said.

NATO is planning to significantly expand its military capabilities to strengthen deterrence and defence against the continued threat from Russia, with plans to boost existing targets by about 30%, dpa has learned from alliance sources. The new objectives include increasing stockpiles of long-range cruise missiles and drones, as well as strengthening air defence and artillery systems, according to sources. To meet these goals, NATO member states are expected to receive updated national planning targets, according to the information. The targets are due to be formally adopted at a meeting of NATO defence ministers in Brussels on Thursday. However, reaching the new targets will be challenging, with senior military officials saying member states are already falling about 30% short of existing goals. The exact national targets remain classified, though some details are expected to be released after Thursday's meeting. In Germany, military sources estimate that the Bundeswehr, as the German armed forces are called, may need to grow by a high five-digit number from its current size of around 182,000 troops to meet requirements. Significant investments in air defence systems are also expected.

Six people have been killed in Springfield in 2025, according to the city's law director, Jill Allen. David Rose's son, Randy Graham, was shot and killed after a party in the 900 block of Elder Street on May 14. He attended the meeting and said he doesn't think the city is doing enough to stop the gun violence. 'You guys don't understand the hurt until it hits home,' Rose said. However, Commissioner Krystal Brown said it upsets her hearing people say commissioners are not taking gun violence seriously. 'What y'all don't understand is that they're my students. Every time I get a text message, I ask Bryan, 'What are their names?' And every time I open up the offenders list for the juvenile detention center, there are 17 kids, 9 or 10 of them are mine,' Brown said. 'So if you think that I wake up every single day and serve these, serve these kids, that that just goes away when I come to the part-time job at night, that is insanity to me.'
