Lincoln County bust: Large fentanyl, meth seizure by police

LINCOLNTON, N.C. (QUEEN CITY NEWS) — After lengthy undercover investigations, Lincoln County Sheriff's Office Narcotics officers were able to purchase large amounts of fentanyl, methamphetamine, cocaine and crack cocaine throughout Lincoln County.
Following the investigation, officers drew warrants on the following suspects:
Matthew Tyler Cook of Lincolnton: three counts each of sell and deliver methamphetamine, possession with intent to sell and deliver methamphetamine and maintaining a dwelling for a controlled substance. He was placed in the Harven A. Crouse Detention Center under a $55,000 secured bond.
Tabathy Jonel Moore of Lincolnton: three counts each of sell and deliver methamphetamine, possession with intent to sell and deliver methamphetamine and maintaining a dwelling for a controlled substance. Placed in the Harven A. Crouse Detention Center under a $30,000 secured bond
Cameron Mckenzie Huddleston of Cherryville: three counts each of sell and deliver methamphetamine, possession with intent to sell and deliver methamphetamine and maintaining a dwelling for a controlled substance. Placed in the Harven A. Crouse Detention Center under a $90,000 secured bond.
Willie Darcy of Denver: three counts each of sell and deliver Cocaine, possession with intent to sell and deliver cocaine, maintaining a dwelling for a controlled substance and conspire to sell and deliver cocaine. Placed in the Harven A. Crouse Detention Center under a $60,000 secured bond.
Darmarius Omar Potts of Denver: one count each of sell and deliver crack cocaine, PWISD crack cocaine, maintaining a dwelling and conspiring to sell and deliver crack cocaine. Placed in the Harven A. Crouse Detention Center under a $60,000 secured bond.
Nathan Kenneth Black of Lincolnton: one count of each sell and deliver fentanyl, PWISD fentanyl, maintaining a dwelling for a controlled substance and conspire to sell deliver fentanyl. Was served by Gaston County and only received a $25,000 bond.
Rhonda Jean Black of Lincolnton: three counts each of sell and deliver fentanyl, PWISD fentanyl, maintaining a dwelling for a controlled substance and conspire to sell and deliver fentanyl. She was served by Gaston County and only received a $10,000 bond.

NEW JERSEY (PIX11) — A man has been found guilty of strangling his pregnant wife in front of her daughter in Newark, N.J., the prosecutor's office of Essex County announced Friday. Milton Chogllo, a 31-year-old from Newark, was found guilty by a jury of second- and third-degree aggravated assault, according to court documents. More Local News According to an investigation on March 5, 2023, Chogllo strangled and beat his 32-year-old wife outside their home on Bergen Street. At the time of the assault, the victim was six months pregnant, authorities said. The woman's 14-year-old daughter witnessed the assault, police said. 'Justice for victims of domestic violence is not just about punishment — it's about protection, dignity, and the unwavering message that abuse will never be tolerated,' said Assistant Prosecutor Ventola. Chogllo is scheduled for sentencing on July 18, 2025. The victim's daughter provided crucial testimony during the trial against Chogllo, officials said. The NC Department of Transportation released a graphic detailing all the problems with the scam message. This DMV scam is the latest form of smishing that attempts to obtain revealing or sensitive information from individuals. It provides a fake link to pay the fines, creates a sense of urgency, and asks the recipient to reply 'Y' to the message, copy links into a browser, or confirm personal information. If you receive a text message from the DMV or any other state agency that demands money, the Federal Trade Commission recommends the following: Do not respond to the text or click any links. The DMV would not ask for your information or money by text. Report the text to the Federal Trade Commission at and/or file a complaint with the FBI's Internet Crime Complaint Center at Forward the message to 7726 (SPAM) to help your provider identify and block similar messages.
