Dasara drone show: CESC plans for a more attractive show this year

Mysuru: The drone display, introduced last year during the Dasara festival, by the Chamundeshwari Electricity Supply Corporation (CESC), will be more attractive this year. CESC plans to add more colours to the festivities, with more drones this year.

"Last year's drone show received an overwhelming response and expectations are high, this time. Plans are being made to make this year's drone show more attractive," said CESC managing director KM Munigopal Raju. He chaired a meeting with the officials to outline the plans for Dasara, at the CESC corporate office in Vijayanagar.
Plans are underway to illuminate Dasara procession route from Mysuru Palace to Banni Mantap grounds more attractive.
It has also been decided to create innovative lighting decorations at the circles in the city. Some designs have already been prepared for this purpose, he said.
The venues of the Yuva Sambhrama and Yuva Dasara programmes will also be illuminated, he told officials. Yuva Sambhrama takes place before the start of the Dasara festival, the lighting decoration in these areas should be unique, he stated. This year the festival is betwen Sept 22 and Oct 2.
Thousands of people will come to witness the beauty of the Dasara lighting. The chances of rain during Dasara are higher. Hence, precautions should be taken to prevent any untoward incident, and special attention should be paid to the lighting decoration, he instructed the electrical contractors.
