The ‘next Luke Littler' reveals what Luke Humphries said to him after losing to 12-year-old in shock upset

The Sun4 days ago

DARTS' latest prodigy, dubbed the 'next Luke Littler', has revealed what Luke Humphries said after defeating the Premier League champion in a shock upset.
Jayden Walker is just 12 years old but is already rated as one of the most promising darts stars around.
3
His mum and grandmother both played at county level, leading the youngster to take up darts an early age.
Walker was only FIVE years old when he recorded his very first 180.
And he turned professional at the age of 11 in a clash against Scott Williams — who reached the World Championship semis in 2024.
Last year also saw Walker nail an 'insane' 145 checkout at the Modus Super Series as he was hailed as 'special' by teen sensation Littler.
But his greatest feat came when he defeated new Premier League king Humphries at an exhibition in December.
Walker smashed in an average of 102 as he stunned the former world champ.
And now, the prodigy has revealed that Humphries had plenty to say afterwards.
Walker told SPORTbible: 'He said to me keep practicing, keep doing what I am doing.
'And he also said that I was the best 12-year-old he had ever seen.'
Walker also opened up over his ambition to eventually play idol Littler.

He added: 'Like most people who enjoy watching darts I would love to play Luke one day.
'I very much believe if it hadn't been for Luke I wouldn't have been given all the opportunities I have been at 12.
'I am very thankful to him for that. A dart match needs two players so you would have to ask Luke if he wanted to play me.
'There's always lots of comparisons made to Luke Littler because I am young. If I want to be world number one I must be better than everyone.
'I am only 12 so I can't even think about beating Luke yet. I can only play the opponent I have in front of me. I'm lucky that I have four more years of practice.'

Mauricio Pochettino breaks silence on Tottenham return to replace Postecoglou

Mauricio Pochettino has been linked with a Tottenham return as they eye a new manager but the USA boss insists the timing is not right for him to head back to north London Mauricio Pochettino says a return to Tottenham is "not realistic" amid talk of a move back to north London as the club seek a successor to Ange Postecoglou - who was sacked on Friday. Europa League glory was not enough to save the former Celtic boss and the search has begun for a new manager. Thomas Frank is the leading candidate but Pochettino too has been linked with a move back to Tottenham, where he spent five years. ‌ Despite not winning a trophy the Argentine has been the most successful manager in the club's recent history, especially in terms of Premier League performance. He consistently had them in the top four and achieved a second place finish in 2017. ‌ He is now leading the USA with their home World Cup just over a year out and Pochettino insists any thought of a Tottenham return is not feasible right now. The 53-year-old said: 'After I left in 2019, every time that I was free, and the place of the position of the manager or head coach in Tottenham Hotspur, my name is appearing on the list. If you have seen the rumours, I think there are 100 coaches in the list. I think, don't be worried about that. 'If something happened, for sure you will see, but we cannot talk about this type of thing, because I think today, it's not real. It's not realistic. Look at where I am, where we are. And the thing is, the answer is so clear, no? But we're talking about it because it's my club, like Newells or Espanyol.' Tottenham have identified Frank as the man they want and the Dane appears equally as interesting in filling the vacancy. He's seen his stock rise throughout his time at Brentford and may feel the time is right to pursue a new challenge in the capital. Pochettino meanwhile has just seen his American side beaten 2-1 by Turkey in Connecticut. It was the team's third successive defeat which leaves the Argentine with five wins and four losses from nine matches in charge. The United States will host the World Cup for the first time since 1994 next summer. The Argentine, who was sacked by Tottenham just months after leading them to the Champions League final, has since held jobs at PSG and Chelsea.

Popular kitchen gadget sold on Amazon is urgently recalled over ‘serious risk of fire & EXPLODING'

A KITCHEN gadget from Amazon has been recalled over a "serious" risk of exploding. The Office for Product Safety and Standards (OPSS) has now banned all imports of the Moongiantgo Food Dehydrator. 2 The entire product appeared to be riddled with issues, including faults with its fuse. On the OPSS website, it states: "The product is a serious risk of fire as the fuse has insufficient granular filler to ensure safe operation under fault conditions. "If the product experiences an electrical fault whilst in use, it may catch fire or explode." According to the body, it does not meet the requirements of Electrical Equipment Safety Regulations 2016 or the Plugs and Sockets Safety Regulations 1994. The product was used to dehydrate various food items such as fruits, herbs, vegetables and meats. A similar item listed on Amazon, which meets the regulation standards, says it is fitted with a high-powered rear fan which delivers "consistent airflow throughout". The description reads: "A sleek digital control panel gives you full command of the dehydration process. "Set the temperature anywhere between 30°C and 90°C, and use the programmable timer for up to 24 hours of continuous drying." Another Amazon product was recalled over serious risk of injuries. The Soppycid Reusable Water Balloons have been removed from the online marketplace following the safety concern. Amazon's Affordable Foldable Tiny Home: Space-Saving Design and Features Revealed The toy was available in a pack of six on Amazon for £18. "The product presents a serious risk of injuries because it contains accessible magnets with a magnetic flux index that exceeds the acceptable level," the product's risk description reads. "Small, high-powered magnetic products can easily be swallowed and, when ingested, have the potential to cause serious internal injuries within the gastrointestinal tract. "The product also requires improvement to marking, labelling and documentation." Another children's toy was removed from the website over fears it could cause serious injury. The swimming float was also urgently recalled over fears it could cause serious injury or even drowning. The Joycat Baby Float, sold on Amazon, has been flagged as a safety risk. Authorities found that its attachable canopy could lift the float from the water in windy conditions, putting children in danger. The alert was issued in the UK following a border inspection. The blue and yellow sea-themed swim seat, intended for babies and toddlers, poses a 'serious risk of injuries', according to the Product Safety Report. If the float becomes airborne, a child could be thrown out and suffer an impact injury or drown. 2
