This year, 36 Pokemon character stamps are scattered across JR East stations in and around Tokyo. Below is a full list of participating stations and where to find each stamp. We also included both the characters' official English names and their official Japanese names for your reference.
Be warned that most stamps are located outside the ticket gates, meaning that you must tap your IC card to officially exit and collect the stamp. Your card will be charged even if you exit and re-enter the station to move on to the next location. If you are planning on catching all of the Pokemon, it might be a good idea to invest in a

Stage 1: The Starter Course
To complete Stage 1, collect any six character stamps. Once you have them, head to one of the nine designated
NewDays 'Goal Shops'
(locations listed below) and exchange your booklet for your first reward. Conveniently, most of these stores are inside the stations, usually near the stamp area.
By completing Stage 1, you can receive a jumbo Pokemon Trading Card Game promo card featuring Pikachu EX as well as booklets for Stage 2 and Stage 3.

Already visited some during your first stage journey? Good news: you're allowed to cut and paste previously collected stamps from Stage 1 into your Stage 2 booklet. But if you're aiming to complete all 36 eventually, it's worth collecting new ones.
Once you've completed Stage 2, visit the Tokyo Station Goal Counter to claim your next rewards: a Pokemon Frienda Yellow Mega Lucario arcade game card, a clear multi-case featuring this year's Pokemon and an entry ticket for a lottery giveaway — 50 winners will receive a Yellow Mega Lucario plush toy.
Stage 3: Pokemon Master Challenge
To become an ultimate Pokemon Master, catch all 36 Pokemon! If you get all 36 stamps in your booklet, bring it to the Tokyo Station Goal Counter to receive an exclusive keychain.

Please note that if you use the premium booklet, all prizes must be redeemed at Tokyo Station.

Tokyo train stations giving out awesome giant Pokémon cards, but you'll want to hurry
JR East's easy-to-complete Pokémon stamp rally can only last as long as its card supply does. It's often been said that the journey itself is more important than the destination. But you know what's even better? A journey that gets you some cool exclusive Pokémon merch. That sort of doesn't-matter-exactly-where-you-go philosophy is the underlying idea for rail operator East Japan Railway Company/JR East's Pokémon Stamp Rally 2025, which is going on right now in Tokyo. In a stamp rally, you start by receiving a sheet with blank spaces on it, then you travel to various stations on the train network where there are special stamps you use to fill up your sheet. When you're all done, you turn in the completed sheet and receive a prize. As far as stamp rallies go, the JR East Pokémon Stamp Rally 2025 is pretty easy to complete. Major stations in the Tokyo area give out the stamp sheet for free, and you only need six stamps to fill it up. With a total of 36 stations that have stamps in Tokyo and its neighboring prefectures of Chiba, Saitama, and Kanagawa, it's not hard to plot a route to complete your sheet, either as a dedicated course to follow all in one fell swoop or to fold into your other sightseeing plans. ▼ Map of the 36 stamp stations (we'll explain the 'Stage 2 stamps' in a bit) Each station's stamp features a different Pokémon species, and you can find the stamp itself by following the signs that say スタンプはこちら ('stamp this way') with an arrow, or by asking the station staff ' Pokémon no sutampu wa doko ni arimasu ka ?' The stamps are always located outside the ticket gates, by the way. ▼ A sign pointing the way to the Mega Ampharos stamp inside downtown Tokyo's Yoyogi Station Once you've got six stamps, bring your completed sheet to one of the New Days station convenience stores listed below… …where you'll then receive this awesome Pikachu ex Jumbo Card! As mentioned, with just six stamps this is a pretty quick and easy rally to complete, but that's because that's just Stage 1 of the Pokémon Stamp Rally 2025. For Stage 2, there are different prizes if you gather 12 or all 36 stamps…or at least there were. As you can probably guess, there are a lot of Pokémon fans in the greater Tokyo area, and Stage 2 supplies have already been depleted. Luckily, the Stage 1 rally is still going on, but while it's scheduled ending date is August 31, that might get moved up if they run out of Pikachu ex Jumbo Cards, so you'll want to get to rallying sooner rather than later. PokePark Kanto, a New Pokemon Theme Park, Is Opening in Tokyo in 2026
Starting in early 2026, fans will finally have a real-world place to catch 'em all. PokePark Kanto, the first-ever permanent outdoor Pokemon theme park, is set to open inside Yomiuri Land in Inagi City, Tokyo. Set against the backdrop of Tama Hills, this 26,000-square-meter attraction will offer a fully immersive experience where Pokemon come to life all year round. Inside PokePark Kanto: What We Know So Far About Its 2026 Opening If you've been following Pokemon since the beginning, the park's name will sound familiar. It's a double homage — both to the original Red, Blue and Green games , which are set in the fictional Kanto region, and to its real-life location in Tokyo's Kanto area. So far, no actual footage of the park has been released. Instead, the official announcement video revealed a beautifully crafted miniature diorama of the park, offering a charming preview of its layout and atmosphere. The park will be divided into two main zones: Pokemon Forest and Sedge Town. Image courtesy of ©2025 Pokémon. ©1995-2025 Nintendo/Creatures Inc./GAME FREAK inc. Pokemon Forest Pokemon Forest is a roughly 500-meter nature walk through varied terrain — think grassy paths, tunnels, slopes and trails. You'll be able to observe and find your favorite Pokémon mingling in groups, hiding in the underbrush or roaming freely around the terrain. Image courtesy of ©2025 Pokémon. ©1995-2025 Nintendo/Creatures Inc./GAME FREAK inc. Sedge Town Serving as the park's social hub, Sedge Town centers around a Primarina-themed fountain. This area will include a Pokemon Center, Pokemart and a Pokemon Trainers' Market, where guests can shop for themed merchandise. A Sedge Gym will give aspiring trainers a chance to test their skills, while a Pokemon Greeting Parade will let visitors of all ages meet a variety of Pokemon up close. Two larger attractions are also in development — rumored to include a Pikachu-themed ride and a merry-go-round — though details haven't been confirmed yet. When Can You Visit PokePark Kanto in 2026? Tickets are expected to go on sale in stages starting in fall 2025, with pricing and reservation details to be announced closer to the park's grand opening in early 2026. In the meantime, keep the momentum going — hop on the train for the 2025 Pokemon Stamp Rally , or brush up your Pokedex by getting to know some dark Pokemon lore . Tokyo hotel creates Evangelion rooms and Evangelion lounges for fans to mingle in【Photos】
Ikebukuro hotel and anime series are both celebrating milestones this year. 2025 marks the 30th anniversary of the start of Evangelion. It's also the 40th anniversary of the opening of the Sunshine City Prince Hotel in Tokyo's Ikebukuro neighborhood, and with Ikebukuro being one of Japan's biggest otaku districts, the hotel and anime have decided to celebrate their coinciding milestones together with a collaboration aimed at traveling anime fans. As part of its 2025 IkePri25 celebration, the Sunshine City Prince will be offering two different Evangelion-themed guestroom configurations, both taking inspiration from Evangelion: 3.0+1.0 Thrice Upon a Time, the theatrical feature that served as the finale to the entire Eva anime franchise, specifically from the portion of the movie that takes place in Village 3 where Shinji, Asuka, and Rei have a bucolic break while mentally gearing up for the story's climax. The rooms feature dynamically large artwork and character standees, with the Suzuhara room pictured above, and the North Lake Ruins room shown below. ▼ Hmm…there doesn't seem to be a Rei standee for the Lake Ruins room…Oh well, nothing to lose your head over, right? In addition to the luxury of being surrounded by so much Eva imagery during their stay, guests in these rooms will also receive a bundle of exclusive merch to take home with them, with an acrylic mini standee of Kaworu dressed in a concierge's uniform, pins, acrylic character panels of the anime cast in super-deformed traveler form, and a bath towel. The room key, once again featuring concierge Kaworu, is also yours to keep. So far this is all pretty standard, if cool, stuff for hotel/anime collaborations. The Sunshine City Prince is going the extra mile for this team-up, though, by also creating no fewer than four Evangelion-themed lounges in the common-use areas of the floor of the hotel where its Eva rooms will be. Not only will these be great places to snap photos (perhaps posing with some of those special merch items), the intent is also to create places for fellow fans to mingle, creating a fun atmosphere and shared experience. ▼ It seems like a pretty safe bet that no one is going to think you're weird for gushing about Eva when you're both hanging out in a place like this. The hotel's restaurants are also getting in on the action with special themed food and drink at the Chef's Palette, Musashino, and Kokiden (which serve Western, Japanese, and Chinese cuisine, respectively). Most of the design cues here are subtle, based on character image colors or recurring visual motifs from the anime, although the First Impact Mapo Ramen, at the top of the array in the photo below, is pretty ominous-looking. Ordering the food items gets you a concierge Kaworu clear file, and the drinks come with character art cards. Since non-guests can eat in the restaurants too, this is a way to get your hands on some special merch even if you're not staying overnight at the hotel. The Sunshine City Prince Hotel/Evangelion collaboration runs from August 30 to November 29, meaning that you could stay in the themed rooms on October 4, the exact date of the 30th anniversary of the airing of the TV anime's first episode. Reservations can be made through the hotel's website here starting at noon on July 25.
