Steelers wide receiver goes viral for James Harrison-inspired 'Danney Ball' workout

A Steelers wide receiver is channeling his inner James Harrison — taking on the intense 'Danney Ball' workout the legendary defender made famous.
Steelers WR Ben Skowronek went viral for his recent Danney Ball training he posted on TikTok, claiming the exercise was "too much fun".
Danney Ball isn't just trend — it's a brutal training method popularized by Harrison. The workout — named after Harrison's trainer Ian Danney — involves launching a heavy medicine ball over a volleyball net, with a focus on improving explosiveness, power, and conditioning.
Skowronek was drafted by the Rams with the 249th overall pick in the seventh round of the 2021 NFL Draft and was traded to the Texans in 2024. He was ultimately released by Houston as part of the final 53-man roster cuts and picked up by the Steelers shortly after. He's a valuable addition to Pittsburgh's special teams, blocking, and wide receiver depth.

Mavericks fans led 'Fire Nico!' chants during the team's NBA Draft watch party

The Dallas Mavericks landed Duke superstar Cooper Flagg with the top pick in the 2025 NBA Draft in Brooklyn on Wednesday night, but general manager Nico Harrison still couldn't avoid fan angst. Since Dallas fans are still incredibly ticked off about the team trading away Luka Dončić out of nowhere in February, "Fire Nico" chants broke out at American Airlines Center during the team's NBA Draft watch party. NBA Draft 2025 live first-round grades for every pick That is absolutely brutal, but Harrison probably expects that these chants won't go away until the Mavericks start really winning again. Even then, the sting of losing Dončić may never go away fully, especially if he wins a title with the Los Angeles Lakers in the near future. Harrison can celebrate landing Flagg in this year's draft, but he might want to avoid any highlight clips from the Mavericks draft party.

Steelers Named Potential Suitor For Disgruntled Commanders Star

Based on facts, either observed and verified firsthand by the reporter, or reported and verified from knowledgeable sources. Heading into the 2025 season, the biggest storyline for the Washington Commanders is something ongoing off the field. Weeks removed from deciding not to partake in mandatory minicamp, Terry McLaurin continues to hold out in hopes of landing a new contract. McLaurin has no intentions of playing on an expiring contract and wants the Commanders to ink him to a deal that keeps him in Washington for the foreseeable future. This comes on the heels of him putting together another strong campaign for the franchise. Across 17 games last season, McLaurin totaled 1,096 yards and caught a career-high 13 touchdowns. Still a few weeks from the start of training camp, Kristopher Knox of Bleacher Report put together a list of the biggest potential names on the trade block in the NFL. With his ongoing standoff with the Commanders, McLaurin is a player who made an appearance The latest NFL DFS promo codes gives first-time players up to $2,850 for NFL Week 10 picks. "Until then, he should still have the attention of receiver-needy teams such as the New England Patriots and the Steelers." The Steelers made a big splash this offseason by signing four-time MVP Aaron Rodgers. Ahead of his alleged retirement tour, Pittsburgh could attempt to try and help him go out on top. As a receiver who is known for being a deep-ball threat, McLaurin would thrive playing alongside a QB like Rodgers. Especially considering that defenses would also have to worry about DK Metcalf on the other side of the field. Also read: Commanders Owner Pays Steep Investment in Jayden Daniels As of now, there have been no signs that McLaurin's holdout is going to end with the Commanders trading him. From the start of this ordeal, the franchise has been confident they'll be able to work things out before the regular season gets underway. This is a proper stance to have, seeing that this isn't the first time McLaurin has been absent for contract reasons. After making a flurry of offensive upgrades this offseason, the Commanders are poised to contend with Jayden Daniels leading the charge. Because of this factor, it seems unlikely that the front office will let such a key piece of the organization walk. That said, until things are officially taken care of, there is always the small possibility Washington is forced to part with McLaurin.
