UAE carries out 58th airdrop of humanitarian aid, sends 41 new trucks to Gaza for fifth consecutive day
GAZA (WAM)For the fifth consecutive day, the UAE has continued its airdrop operations of humanitarian aid over the Gaza Strip, in coordination with the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan.The mission is part of the ongoing "Birds of Goodness" operation, aimed at delivering urgent relief to hard-to-reach areas affected by the conflict.Thursday marked the 58th airdrop under Operation Chivalrous Knight 3, reaffirming the UAE's steadfast commitment to supporting the Palestinian people and alleviating the severe humanitarian conditions in Gaza amid ongoing security challenges.With this latest operation, the total volume of airdropped humanitarian aid has exceeded 3,787 tonnes of food and relief supplies, delivered via 197 aircraft, underscoring the UAE's continued humanitarian efforts to reach the most vulnerable communities.Simultaneously, 41 UAE aid trucks entered the Gaza Strip through various land crossings on Thursday, including 12 trucks loaded with medical supplies donated to the World Health Organisation, as well as trucks carrying essential food items.These efforts are part of a comprehensive humanitarian response to support both the health and food sectors in Gaza.

Falling aid crate kills Palestinian nurse in Gaza
A Palestinian man has been crushed to death after a crate fell on him during an aerial aid drop over Gaza on Monday. According to The Independent, Oday al-Quraan was waiting for planes carrying aid to drop their cargo, but could not get out of the way when the crates landed. UAE aid ship for Gaza docks at Egypt's Al Arish port
A UAE aid ship, with over 7,000 tonnes of urgent relief supplies for Gaza, has docked at Al Arish Port in Egypt, ahead of its preparation and delivery to the Strip. It's the eighth aid ship under the UAE's 'Operation Chivalrous Knight 3' campaign set up to provide further support amid escalating humanitarian challenges in the region. The ship departed from Abu Dhabi's Khalifa Port on July 21, with food, medicines, medical supplies, relief items, dates and shelter materials. It brings the total volume of aid sent by the UAE to Gaza to more than 80,000 tonnes. The UAE is committed to ensuring that aid reaches those in need through all available channels, reinforcing its dedication to humanitarian support for the Palestinian people.
