Palestinian President Sultan of Oman discuss efforts to end war, achieve peace

Basant Ahmed Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas discussed with Sultan Haitham bin Tariq of Oman efforts to end the war and achieve peace, including a permanent ceasefire, ensuring the flow of humanitarian aid, and the full withdrawal of the occupation from the Gaza Strip. During a phone call on Sunday, according to the Palestinian News Agency (WAFA), the two sides exchanged greetings on the occasion of Eid al-Adha. The Sultan of Oman reaffirmed the Sultanate of Oman's firm, clear, and supportive position on the Palestinian cause and the Palestinian people. For his part, President Mahmoud Abbas expressed his wishes for further progress and prosperity for the Sultanate of Oman and its brotherly people, congratulating the Omani people on the occasion of Eid al-Adha.
