River Island launched the ultra-chic Collarless Jacket earlier this year, which we saw styled beautifully on content creator Emily Rose Moloney.
The blazer jacket hybrid was available in cream, pale blue and vibrant red when it first launched a few months back, but it sold out in a flurry on River Island, as well as other stockists, including ASOS.
We have been patiently waiting for the design to come back in stock for months. Finally the staple is back in stock, and in two new colourways.
The Collarless Jacket offers a structured fit with a flare hem.It has a round neck, no collar, and long sleeves. It also boasts a button front fastening, though the four buttons stop just below the ribcage, so the lower half of the jacket flares out to the hips. Available in UK dress sizes 6 to 20. It also comes in a cobalt blue hue. BUY NOW FOR £59
River Island's Collarless Jacket is exactly what it says on the tin. It is, in essence, a round neck blazer without a collar. It boasts long sleeves, a button-front fastening that stops four buttons down, which allows the lower half of the jacket to flare open.
The jacket has been crafted from a polyester and elastane blend, which means there is just enough stretch to hug the body perfectly without restricting mobility like other rigid blazers we have owned.
The Collarless Jacket also features decorative flap pockets, though these are only for aesthetic purposes.
The jacket is structured and achieves a fitted look, which contrasts the lower section of the design for a flattering fit and flare finish. More Trending
Pair with tailored trousers, shorts, high waisted jeans, a slip skirt, or even layer over a satin dress. Whether you team with loafers, ballet pumps, sandals, or heels is entirely up to you, but this jacket is the ultimate staple to elevate any look.
The Collarless Jacket is available in powder pink as well as a bright cobalt blue, both of which are available in UK dress sizes 6 to 20, though stock is selling out fast.
According to the website this design is trending, which is unsurprising considering how quickly the original launch sold out. It is a chic alternative to the classic tailored blazer or oversize fit, and we need it in our wardrobes.

Tyler Perry sued for sexual misconduct in $260 million lawsuit

Filmmaker and producer Tyler Perry is facing a sexual misconduct lawsuit. The lawsuit was filed by actor Derek Dixon, who alleges that Perry engaged in sexual misconduct during and after Dixon's time working on Perry's television productions. Perry and his team have strongly denied the allegations. A statement sent to Metro by reps for Perry, on behalf of Matthew Boyd, attorney for Tyler Perry and TPS Production Services, LLC, read: 'This is an individual who got close to Tyler Perry…We are confident these claims of harassment will fail.' According to the lawsuit, as reported by TMZ, Dixon alleges that he first met Perry in 2019 at a public event, where he claims the director approached him and requested his phone number. Dixon says that this interaction later led to a small acting role in two episodes of Ruthless, a series produced by Tyler Perry Studios. He alleges that in January 2020, he was invited to Perry's Atlanta residence. During the visit, he claims he consumed alcohol, stayed overnight in a guest room, and experienced an incident in which Perry allegedly entered the room and made unwanted physical contact. The lawsuit further claims that although Dixon rejected these alleged advances, Perry maintained communication with him afterward, according the outlet. Dixon later landed a recurring role as the character Dale in Perry's BET series The Oval. In the lawsuit, Dixon alleges that Perry sent him sexually suggestive messages during this period. He also claims that his character's storyline – portraying a gay and homeless man engaging in transactional relationships – mirrored what he alleges Perry described as his personal ideal partner: someone loyal and dependent. More Trending The lawsuit reportedly includes claims of sexually explicit text messages and describes additional alleged incidents at Perry's Atlanta home. Dixon alleges that during one encounter in 2021, Perry entered his guest room and initiated non-consensual physical contact. He claims he repeatedly rejected the advances, and eventually filed a complaint with the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) in June 2024 before resigning from The Oval. Dixon is suing Tyler Perry and Tyler Perry Studios for alleged sexual harassment, quid pro quo harassment, sexual battery, and assault. He is seeking $260million in damages, according to TMZ. How Scarlett Johansson tried not to be a 'humongous weirdo' to Steven Spielberg

Scarlett Johansson has spent 30 years wanting to be in a Jurassic universe movie, so tired desperately not to put off producer Steven Spielberg from hiring her by being 'a humongous weirdo' about it. The Hollywood actress, 40, is known for her association with massive franchises like Transformers and, of course, her nine appearances in Marvel movies including Avengers: Endgame, Iron Man 2 and Black Widow as spy and assassin Natasha Romanoff. But the chance to appear in Jurassic World Rebirth was extra-special for Johansson, she told Metro on the red carpet at Jurassic World Rebirth's London premiere on Tuesday night. The new dinosaur movie – the seventh feature-length film in the series – sees the legendary Spielberg executive produce once again, alongside the return of original screenwriter David Koepp. Spielberg also famously directed 1993's Jurassic Park and 1997's follow-up The Lost World: Jurassic Park, both of which were penned by Koepp. British filmmaker Gareth Edwards – known for his original sci-fi film The Creator as well as directing Rogue One: A Star Wars Story – takes over at the helm for Jurassic World Rebirth. It was him who first tipped off Metro to Johansson's obsession with the franchise. He revealed in a forthcoming interview that Spielberg had informed him in a casting meeting that Johansson would 'kill' him if she didn't get the part of extraction expert Zora Bennett. 'He was basically forced to cast me!' Johansson laughed when told of Edwards' story at this evening's premiere. Adding her side of the story, she exclusively told Metro: 'I've been chasing the Jurassic universe for three decades. I would have happily played any kind of dino snack! 'But I knew that they were doing a new one and that there was a part that I potentially could be right for – right age and otherwise – and so I got in there and was like, I've got to meet on this! I just want to share my enthusiasm.' After setting up a general meeting with Spielberg, Johansson then tried to play it cool. '[I] tried to not be a humongous weirdo and geek out, but after a couple of hours talking to him he brought it up. He was like, 'Oh I think we're supposed to be talking about Jurassic?' and that was my in ,' she shared. 'So then I felt comfortable being a total nerd!' The double Oscar nominee also praised Jurassic World Rebirth's 'extraordinary' wider team for coming together to deliver the film to cinemas less than 12 months after shooting wrapped – and only 16 months after Edwards was announced as director (with no cast in place). 'We did shoot if for five months, so it wasn't that fast, but I think Gareth knew… it's all in the magic of post-production. He put the pedal to the metal,' Johansson said. Emphasising the speed, she added: 'I mean, we were just having a sound mixing conversation like 10 days ago. So it's really being delivered – it is hot off the presses! 'And you do that with an extraordinary group of post-production specialists and a big, big team – that's the way you do it.' Johansson also produces on the film, in which she co-stars with Wicked actor Jonathan Bailey, two-time Oscar winner Mahershala Ali, Homeland and Companion star Rupert Friend and Netflix star of The Lincoln Lawyer Manuel Garcia-Rulfo. More Trending Set 32 years after dinosaurs were brought back from extinction thanks to the events of Jurassic Park, Jurassic World Rebirth follows a top-secret expedition including Johannson's former military operative Bennett, Bailey's bespectacled palaeontologist Dr Henry Loomis, Friend's pharmaceutical rep Martin Krebs and Ali's team leader Duncan Kincaid. The group braves the forbidden isolated equatorial regions where dinosaurs still roam freely to extract DNA from three massive prehistoric creatures in the hopes of a major medical breakthrough. However, the island is also home to mutant species who have thrived following man's experiments on them to appease crowds at the former theme park. Jurassic World Rebirth is released in cinemas on Wednesday July 2. Got a story? EastEnders confirms Christmas storyline as all hell breaks loose for key family

Christmas may still be six months away, but EastEnders is set to kick off a surprise festive storyline next week amid more drama for the Mitchell family. Recent weeks have seen the clan's lives as they knew them were blown apart, after it was revealed Nicola Mitchell (Laura Doddington) murdered her son Harry's (Elijah Holloway) girlfriend Shireen. This triggered a series of explosive events that culminated in another of Nicola's big secrets being uncovered, as her youngest son Barney (Lewis Bridgeman) discovered that Zack Hudson (James Farrar) is his biological father, not Teddy Mitchell (Roland Manookian). While the family have tried to get back on track, Barney is still struggling with his paternity bombshell, and the stress causes him to fail a chemistry exam next week. Wanting to cheer him up, a concerned Nicola hits upon the idea of resurrecting their family 'Half Christmas' tradition, where they celebrate in June. Harry is scathing about the idea and later stirs the pot by inviting Zack along, lying that Barney wants him there. As Nicola goes all out to decorate, Teddy delivers some brutal home truths, prompting her to trash the room just as Barney and Harry arrive. The celebrations eventually get back on track, but there's a shock in store when Zack arrives. Having caused chaos, Harry revels as a furious Nicola throws Zack out, as Barney also rushes out. More Trending Nicola also tries to build bridges with Barney by taking him for a meal at Walford East, but another run-in with Zack causes yet more tension. Is there a world in which Barney and Zack can have a relationship, or has Nicola got more tricks up her dastardly sleeve?
