Dhanashree Verma breaks silence on life after Yuzvendra Chahal divorce, says she is a changed person who hopes to inspire others

Cricketer Yuzvendra Chahal's ex-wife, dancer Dhanashree Verma, said that she is a completely changed person after their divorce, which was announced earlier this year after months of speculation. She said that she is prioritising herself, ignoring the negativity that was hurled at her following the split, and fiercely determined to inspire others in her position. Yuzvendra and Dhanashree tied the knot in 2020, but rumours of a rift in their relationship began doing the rounds only a few years later. They confirmed the divorce in March.
In an interview with The Times of India, Dhanashree said that trolling doesn't bother her at all because she has surrounded herself 'with great inner strength,' and has guarded herself to a degree where external noise doesn't bother her. 'Negativity and public criticism,' she said, have never bothered her, adding that she has always been a hardworking person, but has 'completely changed' her lifestyle to focus on 'self-love, inner strength, discipline, exercise, good food,' and surrounding herself with people who love and respect her.

During this difficult phase, Dhanashree said, she has been channeling her emotions into her craft: dancing. 'I hope I have inspired more people to make strength their guard and weapon,' she said, adding that the recent challenges she faced have only helped her evolve. 'The biggest thing I have learnt is the importance of self-reliance, and that my parents have raised a strong daughter. It has been a phase of growth and self-discovery,' she said. Dhanashree said that she has no interest in clarifying any misconceptions about her, as it only leads to more speculation. 'Love is the most beautiful aspect of life,' she said.
In recent weeks, there has been speculation that Yuzvendra is dating RJ Mahvash. They've been spotted together on several occasions, and she has also made vague comments about the rumours on social media and in interviews. Dhanashree was targeted online after it was reported that the cricketer has been ordered to pay her nearly Rs 5 crore in alimony. He supposedly made an indirect statement about this when he wore a T-shirt emblazoned with the message 'Be your own sugar daddy,' after leaving court.
