
Bomb threat on Gulf Air flight leads to emergency landing in Kuwait

ALBAWABA - Following a bomb threat, Gulf Air aircraft GF213, which was headed to Kuwait on Sunday, made a safe emergency landing at Kuwait International Airport, according to Kuwaiti police. Also Read Outrage in Palestine over snack ad mocking 'last supper'
Airport security procedures were promptly activated in response to the alarm, in collaboration with the Ministry of Interior and other pertinent organizations.
Without any casualties or interference with other airport operations, every passenger was safely removed off the airplane. The passengers are said to be in excellent condition after being moved to a separate terminal for further security checks, according to Directorate General of Civil Aviation spokeswoman Abdullah Al-Rajhi.
The person who caused the bomb alarm has been arrested by authorities, and security measures are being taken to make sure the flight is safe. Additionally, scheduled flights at Kuwait International Airport will proceed as planned, according to Al-Rajhi.

Israeli army retrieves bodies of 2 hostages from Gaza
Published June 5th, 2025 - 06:55 GMT ALBAWABA - The Israeli army confirmed on Thursday that it had found the bodies of two hostages, Judith Weinstein and her husband, Gadi Haggai, who were taken by Hamas fighters in October 2023. "In a special operation by the (security agency) and the (military) in the Gaza Strip, the bodies of two of our hostages held by the murderous terrorist organisation Hamas were returned to Israel: Judy Weinstein-Haggai and Gad Haggai from Kibbutz Nir Oz, may their memory be blessed," Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said in a statement. The army revealed it conducted a special operation in collaboration with intelligence from the Shin Bet. Judith Weinstein and Gadi Haggai died in December 2023, The Jerusalem Post reported.
