Actor Mahesh Babu Gets Legal Notice In Rs 34 Lakh Real Estate Fraud Case
A Hyderabad-based doctor filed a complaint, claiming she was defrauded of Rs 34.8 lakh after purchasing plots that allegedly did not exist.
Mahesh Babu has been named as the third respondent in the case, with the complaint asserting that his public endorsement significantly influenced potential buyers.
This is not the first time Mahesh Babu's name has been linked to the company. In April 2025, the Enforcement Directorate (ED) questioned the actor in connection with a money laundering probe involving Sai Surya Developers and the Surana Group. The company's owner, Kancharla Satish Chandra Gupta, is under police investigation for defaulting on a major real estate project called "Green Meadows."
While the Enfrocement Directorate's earlier investigation indicated that Mahesh Babu was not being treated as an accused and may have endorsed the project in good faith, the current consumer commission notice brings renewed scrutiny to his role as a brand ambassador.
The actor and his team are yet to respond to the latest reports of a fresh notice issued.

Man who posed as UP cop to extort money held after encounter in Noida, hunt on for two aides
What began as routine vehicle checks on Saturday night near the Transport Nagar Crossing in the Phase-3 area of Noida turned into a brief yet intense police chase and then an encounter, ending in the arrest of a 25-year-old man. Dressed in the uniform of Uttar Pradesh Police, Amit alias Sukke, the accused, was allegedly extorting people by posing as a police officer. According to DCP Central Noida Shakti Avasthi, Amit had been using the police uniform as a tool for intimidation. During questioning, he allegedly admitted to targeting common people, threatening to arrest them, unless they transferred money to him via digital platforms like Google Pay. On Saturday, around midnight, the officers from Thana Phase-3 had set up a barricade near the TP Nagar crossing, and they spotted a motorcycle approaching. When signaled to stop, the biker turned the two-wheeler sharply and sped away. An intense chase followed that led the policemen through the streets leading up to the Garhi roundabout. The accused allegedly pulled out a pistol and opened fire at a police team coming from the front. The officers retaliated, and in the exchange, the suspect was shot and injured in the leg. Videos released by the Gautam Buddha Nagar Police show him limping and his pants stained with blood, as two policemen help him into a van, supporting him by the shoulders. He was immediately taken to a hospital for treatment. Amit alias Sukke, a resident of Chitwana Sherpur village in Meerut, has been living in a rented room near a temple in Bahlolpur, Sector 63, said police. Police recovered a .315 bore country-made pistol, two live cartridges, one spent shell, a UP Police uniform, a motorcycle with a fake number plate, and Rs 1,200 in cash from his possession. Amit had at least two FIRs against him in the past, said officers. One was registered earlier at the Phase-3 police station under sections 205, 308(2), and 3(5) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS). He was booked for intimidating people sitting in a park. Another case dates back to 2024 in Meerut's Parikshitgarh. Booked under sections 74, 352, 351(2) of BNS and the IT Act, he had been accused of taking pictures of a girl and uploading them on social media. Police are now looking for his two accomplices. 'We are looking for his aides. He and his two accomplices had been using the uniform to exploit people for money…the two others will also be arrested soon,' said Phase-3 Station House Officer, Dhruv Bhooshan.

Gold market outlook: Prices to stay firm next week; risk aversion, weak dollar to fuel gains
Representative image Gold prices are expected to remain firm in the upcoming week, supported by heightened global risk aversion, sustained weakness in the US dollar index, and a series of trade-related developments as key supporting factors, analysts said. They further added that investors will be focusing on key US data releases, including Consumer Price Inflation (CPI) and retail sales figures, which could offer further cues for bullion prices. Jateen Trivedi, VP, research analyst, commodity and currency at LKP Securities, said gold is likely to remain strong as long as it stays above Rs 97,000 per 10 grams on the MCX. 'Renewed trade tariff jitters and continued weakness in the dollar index are amplifying global risk aversion, prompting a shift away from risky assets toward safe-haven instruments like bullion,' Trivedi said, adding that a weak rupee may further support the upward trajectory of the yellow metal's price. Last week, the yellow metal futures for August delivery rose Rs 842, or 0.86 per cent, on the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX). Hareesh V, head of commodity research at Geojit Investments, said gold started the week on a weaker note as easing tensions between Israel and Iran, along with stronger-than-expected US non-farm payroll data, dampened safe-haven demand. However, prices rebounded after US President Donald Trump imposed fresh tariffs ranging from 35 to 50% on Canada and Brazil, reigniting fears of a trade war and lifting bullion demand. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like Esta IA está generando ingresos (Ver más) Finanzas y economía Empieza ahora Undo Traders are also watching the ongoing negotiations between India and the US for a potential trade deal, which could influence market sentiment, Hareesh V said, quoted by PTI. Prathamesh Mallya, DVP, Research, Non-Agri Commodities and Currencies at Angel One, said gold prices have surged nearly 3 per cent on the MCX, rising from Rs 94,951 per 10 grams on June 27 to Rs 97,830 on July 11. Internationally, Comex gold futures have jumped around 2.8% over the same period. Mallya attributed the gains to the Trump administration's aggressive tariff stance on commodities like copper, aluminium, and pharmaceuticals. President Trump's signal that the August 1 tariff deadline will not be extended has added to market uncertainty. 'Gold typically performs well during such periods of elevated risk,' Mallya said, projecting a possible move towards $3,500 per ounce and Rs 1,00,000 per 10 grams on the MCX in the near term. On Friday, Comex gold futures for August delivery rose $38.30, or 1.15%, to close at $3,364 per ounce. N S Ramaswamy, head of commodities and CRM at Ventura, said gold's key resistance of $3,360 has been tested and a decisive break could trigger further gains, even as the US dollar remains firm and on a recovery path. Geopolitical tensions, including potential US sanctions on Russia and the threat of more tariffs, could continue to support gold's appeal as a safe-haven asset, Ramaswamy added.
