Actress Song Hye-kyo spotted in Spain, demonstrates ageless, chameleon-like beauty
MADRID, June 22 — Actress Song Hye-kyo was spotted in Spain for a Chaumet event.
Song, global ambassador for the brand alongside Cha Eun-woo, had recently been seen spotting a shorter hairstyle in contrast to the long, flowy locks that had been her trademark.
Interestingly the long hair made a brief reappearance — the power of extensions, perhaps?
Pictures of her in long pink dress and shoulder-length hair popped up briefly on her Instagram but her latest post at the Chaumet event dinner showed her with her at chin-length in a strapless blueish-silver gown.
Fellow actress and Davichi member Kang Min-kyung as well as actress Han So-hee were among those who excitedly commented on her Chaumet event look.
Song was recently seen in the film Dark Nuns and is currently shooting a new Netflix drama, Show Business, alongside Gong Yoo.

‘Still on a high': ‘F1: The Movie' is here — and Brad Pitt's loving the 197mph rush
LONDON, June 27 — Brad Pitt relished an 'extraordinary' experience of driving a Formula 1 car as F1: The Movie hit cinemas in Britain and other countries, German Press Agency (dpa) reported. The Hollywood star, who plays F1 driver Sonny Hayes in the blockbuster film, was recently given the chance to drive McLaren's 2023 car around Austin's Circuit of the Americas. Pitt, 61, had plenty of driving experience — including behind the wheel of modified F2 cars — while filming the movie over the last two years, but was blown away by his first taste of an F1 car. 'Oh my God, what a rush,' Pitt said in a video on McLaren's social media channels. 'A lot bigger horse than I've been on.' Pitt added on the Beyond the Grid podcast: 'I got to hit 197mph this week. I really wanted to hit 200. You know, it hurts me a little bit — three miles per hour short on the straight. This was at Austin. 'I've just never experienced anything that's just, more feeling of presence in my life. You're so focused, but you're not white-knuckling. You're just in this sublime groove. It is really extraordinary. 'I try to explain this feeling of downforce, and I fail every time because you try to say like a rollercoaster, but that's not even right, because you feel the fulcrum point underneath you — you're in it. 'I was in an aerobatic plane once, and it's the closest thing, but still this thing. This is such a unique feeling and an absolute high. I'm still on a high, I really am. I'm just still on a high.' Pitt's fictional rookie team-mate Joshua Pearce is played by British actor Damson Idris. Filming took place across multiple races over the last two seasons, and F1 chiefs hope the movie will follow the popularity of Netflix's Drive To Survive series in cracking America. Seven-time world champion Lewis Hamilton is an executive producer on the movie directed by Joseph Kosinski and co-produced by Jerry Bruckheimer. F1: The Movie will be released in the United States on Friday. Hamilton, 40, posted a picture of himself alongside Pitt as he reflected on the journey he had been on while making the film. 'Four years in the making — what a journey it's been,' Hamilton wrote on Instagram. 'I'm incredibly grateful to everyone at Apple and Warner Bros for believing in us and partnering with such heart and vision. 'To Joe and Jerry — thank you. I've learned so much from both of you, and it's truly been an honour to work alongside you. 'These were taken on our very first day on track, with Brad at Silverstone looking into Copse Corner. What a moment. One of those memories that stick with you.' — Bernama-PA Media/dpa

Pharrell bigs up brown denim as Paris fashion week starts
PARIS, June 24 — Paris Men's Fashion Week kicks off today with shows by big hitters Saint Laurent and Louis Vuitton, with American singer-turned-designer Pharrell Williams teasing his latest creation—'coffee bean brown' denims. The man who got the world dancing to his catchy hit Happy predicted the new Louis Vuitton jeans he will unveil at his Paris show will become a 'future staple' in fashionable wardrobes. Williams posted a rear-end photo of the roomy medium-brown jeans on Instagram, saying they are 'woven—not dyed', and are finished with an untreated leather belt loop echoing Vuitton's monogram and the fashion house's trunk-making roots. He also posted pictures of a matching denim jacket, finished with brassy buttons, over a white shirt and brown and beige striped T-shirt. The singer and producer usually draws a galaxy of music, film and sports stars to his Paris shows, the locations often as glamorous as his guest list. This time Williams is putting his Vuitton bags down in front of the Pompidou Centre modern art museum just before the architectural icon closes for a major overhaul. US basketball legend LeBron James and French San Antonio Spurs star Victor 'Wemby' Wembanyama are likely to be there as ambassadors for the brand, as well as Olympic swimming sensation Leon Marchand. The invitation sent to guests, a set of dice in a leather keyring case, hints that the designer may be taking something of a gamble. Saint Laurent back Saint Laurent also returns to the fashion week fold today after a two-and-a-half-year absence from the Paris men's shows. Heads have been rolling across much of the luxury industry as bumper profits have plunged. Saint Laurent's parent group Kering is no exception, with a drop in sales last year wiping 28 percent off its share price since the turn of the year. But shares shot back up 12 percent last week after former Renault boss Luca de Meo was named as Kering's new chief executive. Fashion buyer Alice Feillard of Galeries Lafayette, Europe's biggest department store chain, said the return of Saint Laurent creative director Anthony Vaccarello to the men's fashion week was 'rather a good thing', and would help reinforce the label's men's line. Vaccarello teased his summer 2026 collection with a picture of a bronzed young Adonis stretched out on a bed on a beach. The packed six days of Paris shows are in stark contrast to London—which cancelled its men's shows completely—and the rather thinned-out line-up in Milan last week. Anderson's Dior debut Instead the French capital will see a 'rather dense programme with big headliners including Jonathan Anderson', who will be making his highly anticipated debut at Dior, said Adrien Communier of French GQ magazine. The Northern Irish designer is the first to oversee both the men's, women's and haute couture lines at the fabled French house since its founder Christian Dior. In all, some 70 brands will unveil their latest looks across 40 runway shows and 30 presentations that end late Sunday with the French label Jacquemus. Anderson, the son of former Irish rugby captain Willie Anderson, who had previously turned around the rather fusty Spanish house Loewe, was named as the head of Dior's women's collection earlier this month, replacing the Italian Maria Grazia Chiuri. Belgian Julian Klausner, 33, who took over at Dries Van Noten in December, will also show his first men's collection for the label on Wednesday. Communier predicted the trend for stripes 'which we saw a lot in Milan is going to continue'. But with men's fashion becoming a 'little bit dull' in recent years, he said we 'really need to be surprised'. — AFP

Disneyland Paris hosts €130,000 staged wedding for Ukrainian girl, now ‘groom' and organiser under fraud probe
PARIS, June 23 — French police were on Sunday probing the circumstances of a bizarre stunt at Disneyland outside of Paris, with a group of adults suspected of hiring the theme park and paying hundreds of extras to stage a fake marriage for a nine-year-old Ukrainian girl. Two people were held for questioning in the case, which initially caused alarm when staff alerted police on Saturday that it could have concerned an illegal child marriage. But investigators now believe that the so-called 'marriage' was staged, with the girl's mother reportedly saying that she wanted her to feel like a Disney 'princess' for the day. 'The event turned out to be a staged event, with the guests themselves extras' invited to be part of the stunt, deputy prosecutor Alexandre Verney said. 'So it wasn't a wedding, but a staged wedding filmed with around a hundred extras. They hired Disneyland Paris, pretending it was a real wedding,' he told AFP. Four people were arrested and taken into custody, and the questioning of two of them – suspected of fraud and money laundering – was extended on Saturday evening. They are the so-called 'groom' who is believed to be behind the event, 22 years old and 'presumed to be British', and a Latvian woman, 24, said a source close to the case. However, the other two people detained – a 41-year-old Ukrainian woman, and a 55-year-old Latvian man – were released. The investigations, including a medical examination of the nine-year-old girl, a Ukrainian national, found that 'she had not been subjected to any violence or coercive acts,' the prosecutor's office said. According to the Le Parisien daily, which first reported the incident, a man had several weeks previously hired the Disneyland Paris complex for a sum of 130,000 euros (US$150,000) for several hours before it opened to the public. Staff were astonished when the nine-year-old appeared wearing high heels on Saturday morning, barely able to stand in the elaborate footwear, and they alerted the authorities, it said. The paper said the man who organised the event had submitted false documents concerning his identity and Disneyland filed a complaint. Hundreds of extras were bussed in to play the part of the guests, it said, while the girl's mother told investigators she wanted to organise a 'day worthy of a princess' for her daughter. — AFP
