Phenom Jesse Love Set to Make NASCAR Cup Series Debut with Richard Childress Racing
Jesse Love is getting the call to the NASCAR Cup Series.
Love, who has been on NASCAR's radar since winning the 2020 ARCA Menards Series West championship at the age of 16, is slated to make his Cup debut at Bristol Motor Speedway on April 13 for Richard Childress Racing.
Love, who turned 20 on January 14, is racing for RCR in the NASCAR Xfinity Series. Love won the season-opening race at Daytona, has five top-10 finishes in the first six races of the season, and is third in the points going into the March 19 Marine Corps 250 at Martinsville.
He will drive the No. 33 C4 Ultimate Energy Chevrolet at Bristol.
"Racing in the Cup Series has always been my main goal and dream,' said Love. 'Everything that I have done up to this point in my career has been building to this moment. To make my Cup Series debut at this age is very special, and I'm grateful for the opportunity to make it with RCR. Everyone has welcomed me with open arms over the last year and the organization feels like family.'
With Love's win at Daytona, he's already secured a spot in the Xfinity Series Playoffs.
'I'm excited to have Jesse make his Cup Series debut in the No. 33 Chevrolet,' said Richard Childress, chairman and chief executive officer of RCR. 'From the moment I started watching Jesse race, I knew that he had the talent. He has the passion for wanting to win and doing the best possible for his team. To be a great driver, you have to have passion behind the wheel and Jesse has that. We've seen him develop over the last year since he joined RCR, and I look forward to helping him compete at the highest level of our sport.'

The Green Bay Packers and quarterback Jordan Love will face off against the Pittsburgh Steelers and Aaron Rodgers in Week 8 of the 2025 NFL season on Sunday Night Football. That matchup is now officially going to happen. On Friday, Rodgers agreed to terms with the Steelers. He flew to Pittsburgh to sign his deal, and he will be the new starting quarterback for the storied franchise. Read more: Steelers Trade Proposal Would Land Another Superstar for Aaron Rodgers As shared by Jason Wilde of WISC-TV News 3, Love had nothing but good things to say about Rodgers. He's clearly excited to face off against his old mentor. "I was excited for A-Rod. I don't think I was too surprised," Love said. "I feel like there were a lot of rumors going on throughout the whole offseason about him going to the Steelers. I was excited for him, that he was obviously coming back and going to be playing. There were also some rumors that he might be done, so just knowing he's going to keep playing, that's pretty awesome." Love continued on, speaking out more about how Rodgers treated him when he was drafted. He's thankful for Rodgers and the way he handled things. "I appreciate definitely the way A-Rod handled being in that situation, and I think a big part of it — which he told me — was he knew how it was for him being in that same position, and the things that he went through and the way the situation might've been handled [differently]," Love said. "I think his perspective was, 'I'm trying to go about this a little bit differently,' which I think was awesome." Finally, the Green Bay franchise quarterback spoke out specifically about his matchup with Rodgers during the 2025 season. "I can't wait to be on different sides, meeting up, and I know we'll talk pre-game, things like that. And hopefully we can exchange jerseys after." Just like Rodgers when he faced off against Brett Favre, there will be some emotions involved in the game. Even though Rodgers is no longer connected to the Packers, what he did with the franchise will never be forgotten. However, when the two teams step onto the field, all friendships will be forgotten for 60 minutes of game action. Love playing against Rodgers on Sunday Night Football will be must-watch football.
