Saudi Arabia completes $9.27bln Eurobond issuance, including inaugural green tranche
RIYADH — The National Debt Management Center (NDMC) has successfully completed the issuance of an international euro-denominated bond under the Kingdom's Global Medium-Term Note Issuance Programme (GMTN), with a total value of €2.25 billion (SR8.86 billion).
The issuance, which attracted strong investor demand, saw an order book of approximately €10 billion, representing an oversubscription of four times the total issuance.
The bonds were issued in two tranches, including Saudi Arabia's inaugural green tranche, reflecting the Kingdom's commitment to sustainability and environmental initiatives.
The green tranche, valued at €1.5 billion (SR5.90 billion), was issued for a 7-year bond maturing in 2032. The second tranche amounted to €750 million (SR2.96 billion) for a 12-year bond maturing in 2037.
This marks the Kingdom's first government bond issuance featuring a green tranche, reinforcing its commitment to achieving sustainability objectives under Vision 2030 and reaching net-zero emissions. — SG

NDMC closes May 2025 issuance under Saudi government SAR-denominated sukuk program
Riyadh -- The National Debt Management Center (NDMC) announced the closure of May 2025 issuance under the Saudi Arabian Government SAR-Denominated Sukuk Program. The Total Amount Allocated was set at SAR 4.081 billion (Four billion and eighty-one million Saudi Riyals). The Sukuk issuance was divided into four tranches: The first tranche was SAR 489 million (Four hundred eighty-nine million Saudi Riyals) maturing in 2029. The second tranche was SAR 1.004 billion (One billion and four million Saudi Riyals) maturing in 2032. The third tranche was SAR 1.288 billion (One billion two hundred eighty-eight million Saudi Riyals) maturing in 2036. The fourth tranche was SAR 1.300 billion (One billion three hundred million Saudi Riyals) maturing in 2039.

Housing Minister: More than 133,000 firms in Saudi construction sector
RIYADH — Saudi Housing Minister Majid Al-Hogail said that the construction sector in Saudi Arabia has more than 133,000 establishments with over 1.6 million individuals participating daily in building a new reality: smart cities and integrated development. Al-Hogail noted that project management gives organizations greater predictability, responsiveness, and execution, and improves performance and raises the quality of achievement. He emphasized that Saudi Arabia's Vision 2030 outlines an ambitious future that reshapes the economic, social, and development landscape. The minister explained that project management has become a strategic approach and an essential tool for leading change and achieving sustainable impact, and is no longer an executive option. He noted that the National Projects Council is playing a growing role in unifying efforts and enhancing performance. He added, "Government project management offices contribute to enhancing planning, follow-up, and governance practices, ensuring quality implementation and consistency with national goals." This came during his inauguration of the Global Project Management Forum (GPMF 2025), hosted by the capital, Riyadh. The GPMF is one of the prominent international events in this field, bringing together more than 13,000 specialists and interested parties from at least 100 countries.
