Man stabbed repeatedly in vicious alleged Adelaide attack
A man has been rushed to hospital with multiple stab wounds after he was discovered bleeding profusely on a quiet Adelaide street.
Neighbours in the inner-north suburb of Devon Park were woken by a man yelling for help just after 4am on Monday morning.
A number of people left their homes to investigate the cries for help, which CCTV footage shows coming from a severely injured man hobbling down the street.
SA Police Detective Acting Chief Inspector Jeff Lang said investigators 'do not believe' the attack was random.
'The behaviour in this attack indicates to Police that those involved are known to each other and that the community should be reassured that we believe this is an isolated incident,' he said on Monday.
'While this type of attack is serious, we will respond rapidly and appropriately to ensure those involved are placed before the court.'
Acting Chief Inspector Lang said the police had been unable to interview the victim since he was admitted to hospital, but they were aware the man's injuries were no longer life threatening.
'We are in the early stages of this investigation, and I cannot disclose any more at this time. What we do need, however, is help from the public,' he said.
The police have encouraged members of the public who may have information to contact Crimestoppers.

Albury doctor charged after child abuse imagesl allegedly found on phone
Detectives have charged an Albury doctor after an investigation found alleged child abuse material on his phone. In May, Australian Border Force officers seized a phone from the 37-year-old man at Melbourne Airport. The phone was then referred to the NSW State Crime Command's Sex Crimes Squad, where detectives allegedly found more than 5,000 video and photo files of child abuse material. Detectives working under the Strike Force Trawler operation, which undertakes ongoing investigations into the online exploitation of children, arrested the doctor in Albury on Tuesday morning. The man was then charged with several offences, including possessing child abuse material and using a carriage to access child abuse material. After his arrest, the doctor was taken to Albury police station before appearing at Albury Local Court. He was refused bail and will face Albury Local Court on August 19. Police say there is no evidence to suggest any offence occurred against the doctor's patients.
