EFT Solutions Partners with Bonum to Establish Cooperation with Mongolbank
HONG KONG SAR - Media OutReach Newswire - 31 March 2025 - EFT Solutions Limited (" EFT Solutions" or the "Company"), member of EFT Solutions Holdings Limited (together with its subsidiaries, the "Group"; stock Code: 8062.HK), a leading electronic fund transfer point-of-sales ("EFT-POS") solutions provider in Hong Kong, is pleased to announce that the Company and its partner Bonum LLC, a payment services provider in Mongolia, are collaborating with Mongolbank, the central bank of Mongolia. With the technical support from EFT Solutions and payment acquirer from eftPay, the trios have successfully facilitated the expansion of the " T - Card," a major payment card issued by Mongolbank in Mongolia, into Hong Kong markets, with its inaugural deployment in Hong Kong merchants.
According to the latest statistics, there are over 2 million T-Cards currently in circulation in Mongolia, accounting for more than 45% of the total number of payment cards. Furthermore, the total transaction volume of T-Cards exceeds 40% of the overall market. Breaking away from the prior limitations to domestic use, EFT Solutions, in collaboration with Bonum LLC, developed a tailored electronic payment terminal solution for the T-Card. This solution successfully integrates the card into their payment system to allow for seamless connectivity to various EFT-POS terminals, enabling its use in overseas markets.
Along with the technical development of eftPay, the T-Card successfully made its overseas launch. It is introduced as a payment method in selected restaurant partners in Hong Kong. Local travelers visiting Hong Kong can simply use the T-Card for payments, facilitating their spending in the city. Looking ahead, eftPay plans to gradually expand the T-Card to other local merchants, catering to the electronic payment needs of Mongolian tourists visiting Hong Kong.
Mr. Andrew Lo Chun-kit, Chairman and CEO of EFT Solutions said, "we are honored to be the first Hong Kong partner of Bank of Mongolia in regards to ePayments technology. Together we will accelerate local digital transformation. While driving Hong Kong to become a smart city, we are also responding to the HKSAR government's initiative in promoting the interconnectivity of e-payments across the regions. We will continue to actively explore various overseas smart city projects to seize international market opportunities."
In addition to the T-Card, the Group is dedicated to expanding its international footprint, including entering a memorandum of understanding with a digital bank in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) last year, thereby preparing for future collaboration.

LG CHANNELS GROWS NEWS VIEWERSHIP THROUGH ENHANCED USER EXPERIENCE
LG Electronics (LG) is advancing LG Channels viewership growth across the world, thanks to its intuitive user interface and growing variety of content. As part of this effort, LG is partnering with leading broadcasters and news organizations across multiple regions to add more news streams to the platform, making them both relevant to local audiences and easier to access and explore. Starting this month, LG Channels news content can also be accessed directly from the home screen via newly introduced News Portal. Rolled out via Q-Card in the U.S., Mexico, Brazil, the U.K. and Germany on TVs running webOS 25, this feature is expected to expand to more platforms later this year – supporting further news consumption growth, thanks to the company's free ad-supported streaming TV (FAST) service. In the U.S., LG Smart TV users can access a wide array of news channels through LG Channels News Hub, a curated source for free, ad-supported news channels. The News Hub is made possible through partnerships with multiple leading national and local broadcasters whose channels are available in the News Hub, including NBCUniversal, Disney, FOX Television Stations, Bloomberg Media, Warner Bros. Discovery, Allen Media Group's Local Now, E.W. Scripps, Sinclair Broadcast Group and others. In addition, users can still access news channels through the Electronic Program Guide (EPG) on their LG Smart TVs. LG Channels also provides localized content from Local Now channels, Allen Media Group's free news streaming service, which delivers over 220 local channels in every U.S. ZIP code. Expanding its offerings for Spanish-speaking viewers, LG collaborated with NBCUniversal News Group earlier this year to introduce Telemundo Station Group's 24/7 streaming news channels. These channels – Telemundo Noticias California, Telemundo Noticias Texas, Telemundo Noticias Florida and Telemundo Noticias Noreste – deliver regional news coverage. These partnerships have been a key driver of the double-digit linear growth the LG Channels service has seen in the US, year-over-year. LG's efforts to strengthen regional news access through LG Channels were recognized in June 2025 with the Award for Achievement in Local Broadcasting at the ITVT/TVOT 21st Annual Awards for Leadership in Interactive and Multiplatform Television. This honor underscores the company's commitment to advancing news content delivery through partnerships with trusted local broadcasters. 'Our goal with LG Channels has always been to make high-quality, relevant content accessible to everyone,' said Chris Jo, head of the webOS Platform Business Center at the LG Media Entertainment Solution Company.?'By working with trusted news providers and powerful broadcasters across regions and continuously improving how users discover and access content, we are making local and national news more approachable, timely and meaningful within everyday viewing.' LG Channels viewing time has increased in Mexico and Brazil as local news content becomes more available. In Mexico, major local broadcasters TV Azteca, Multimedios and Grupo Imagen joined LG Channels this year, strengthening its local news lineup. TV Azteca's FIA has emerged as the most-watched channel among the 190 channels available on LG Channels in Mexico, underscoring strong demand for quality local news. These additions have driven a 95 percent year-over-year increase in viewing hours in Mexico. In Brazil, LG Channels has expanded local news offerings with the launch of New Brasil in partnership with Grupo Bandeirantes – one of the country's leading broadcasters – CNN Brasil, and Times Brasil – Licenciado Exclusivo CNBC. Since these launches, the platform's viewing hours in Brazil have increased by more than 40 percent, with CNN Brasil the most-watched. LG also continues to expand the availability of local news content on LG Channels across Europe. In markets like the U.K. and France, news partnerships have driven strong month-over-month growth, with double-digit increases in viewership. Currently, over 100 news channels including BFM TV (France), GB News (UK), CNN International (UK, Germany, Austria and Switzerland), CNN Headlines (available in 16 European countries), Bloomberg Television (UK), Euronews IN DIRETTA (Italy) and CNN en Español (Spain)?are available, with more channels, such as France 24, scheduled to launch soon. In Spain, LG Channels has added content through a landmark partnership with RTVE, the national public broadcaster. Viewers can now enjoy RTVE's premium content for free, including flagship channels La 1, La 2 and Canal 24 Horas (24H) – the latter being a trusted source for real-time national and international news. Strong local news content is increasing viewing time across other regions as well. In Australia, the addition of Sky News Australia, a leading national news network with a loyal viewership, has boosted engagement significantly. In Korea, local news from major outlets such as TV Chosun, JTBC, MBN, Channel A and YTN consistently garner the most viewing time among the 130 channels available on LG Channels. In India, LG Channels offers a wide selection of FAST news channels to meet local demand for timely, diverse information. As of June 2025, news accounts for over 40 percent of all viewing time, with news channels dominating the platform's top 10. LG Channels features over 40 news channels in eight regional languages. Among these, Aaj Tak is the most-watched nationwide, with other major Hindi-language channels including India TV, Republic Bharat, TV9 Bharatvarsh and NDTV India.

DMW vows to digitalize, adopt hybrid setup for future Serbisyo Caravans after overwhelming turnout in Dubai
Migrant Workers Secretary Hans Leo Cacdac has vowed a more efficient and digitalized rollout of the OFW Serbisyo Caravan, after an overwhelming turnout in Dubai left some attendees unserved. In a news release, Cacdac acknowledged the difficulties faced during the Bagong Bayani ng Mundo – OFW Serbisyo Caravan held at the Dubai World Trade Center on August 3, where close to 12,000 government transactions were recorded amid a surge of OFW attendees. 'We apologize to those who were not served on that day. But rest assured, we will be back in more ways than one—we will sharpen our digitalization efforts,' said Cacdac. 'We vow, na sa susunod na round, lalo na sa Dubai, we will have a hybrid part two, where processes are digitalized. And this will be the general trend for our future caravans starting sa pagbabalik natin sa Dubai,' he added. Following the incident, the Department of Migrant Workers (DMW) is preparing to implement a hybrid service model in future caravans, one that integrates digital platforms with on-site services to reach more Filipinos. Cacdac said that while digital transformation is key, the DMW recognizes that not all services can be conducted online, particularly those that require physical presence. 'While we pursue online solutions such as dataflow systems and partnerships with firms like VFS, we also recognize the indispensable role of in-person services, particularly for biometric-based processes like national ID registration and legal document issuance through the Public Attorney's Office (PAO),' he explained. Dataflow systems are being explored to fast-track applications by digitizing and verifying submitted documents online. Partnerships with firms such as VFS Global, which manages application and appointment systems for various government and visa services, are also part of the plan to streamline operations abroad. Services in high demand The one-day caravan in Dubai served a total of 5,928 Filipinos and completed 11,569 government transactions. Among the most requested services included OWWA membership and renewal, E-card issuance, registration for the national ID through PSA, document requests, contribution payments to PhilHealth and SSS, and applications for MP2 savings under Pag-IBIG. Due to the overwhelming number of e-Card requests, OWWA Administrator Patricia Yvonne Caunan announced that the OFW e-card printer used during the event will remain at the Migrant Workers Office in Dubai, allowing Filipino residents to continue availing the service even after the caravan's conclusion.

Over 3,000 Boeing fighter jet workers go on strike after rejecting contract offer
More than 3,200 union members who assemble Boeing's fighter jets in the St. Louis area and Illinois went on strike on Monday after rejecting a second contract offer the previous day. Boeing Defence said it was ready for the work stoppage and it will implement a contingency plan that uses non-labour workers. According to the company, the rejected four-year contract would have raised the average wage by roughly 40 per cent and included a 20 per cent general wage increase and a $5,000 ratification bonus. It also included increasing periodic raises, more vacation time and sick leave. "We're disappointed our employees in St. Louis rejected an offer that featured 40 per cent average wage growth," Dan Gillian, Boeing vice president and general manager of the St. Louis facilities, said in a statement. The offer was largely the same as the first offer that was overwhelmingly rejected one week earlier. Members of the International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers' District 837 "deserve a contract that reflects their skill, dedication, and the critical role they play in our nation's defence," District 837 head Tom Boelling said in a statement. Boeing CEO Kelly Ortberg downplayed the impact of a strike when talking with analysts on Tuesday about second-quarter earnings, noting that the company had weathered a seven-week strike last year by District 751 members, who build commercial jets in the Northwest and number 33,000. "I wouldn't worry too much about the implications of the strike. We'll manage our way through that," he said. District 837 workers assemble Boeing's F-15 and F/A-18 fighters, the T-7 trainer, and the MQ-25, an aerial refueling drone being developed for the US Navy. Boeing's defence division is expanding manufacturing facilities in the St. Louis area for the new US Air Force fighter jet, the F-47A, after it won the contract this year. District 751's strike ended with approval of a four-year contract that included a 38 per cent wage increase.
