Pro Football Hall of Fame commemorating Cam Little's 70-yard field goal with game-worn Jaguars jersey, cleat

The 70-yard field goal Jacksonville Jaguars kicker Cam Little made last week during a preseason opener against the Pittsburgh Steelers might have not have counted in the NFL record book, but it got his name in Canton. The Pro Football Hall of Fame is commemorating Little's big preseason feat with the cleat he used to accomplish it and the No. 39 jersey he wore while he authored the moment. "Alright, ship it off," Little said while folding his teal Jaguars jersey in a video the team posted to X Wednesday. He added, after packaging his cleat: "It's going to a piece of history, though." Little willed his 70-yard kick over the crossbar in Jacksonville's EverBank Stadium this past Saturday on the final play of the exhibition's first half. It cut the Steelers' lead to 14-9. But the score was an afterthought, and not just because it was a preseason game — mainly because Little just made a field goal that started with the number "7." The current NFL record is owned by former Baltimore Ravens kicker Justin Tucker, who made a 66-yarder against the Detroit Lions in 2021. Even though Little didn't technically rewrite it with his right-footed swing last weekend, he was swarmed by his teammates as if he did. Little bested Tucker's mark by 4 yards, sending a message to teams across the league that the Jaguars are a threat to grab three points from their own half of the field. Now in his second year with the team, Little already established himself as a reliable kicker in the league last season when he converted 27-of-29 field goals — including 5 of 6 from more than 50 yards out — and all 27 of his extra points. The Jaguars selected him in the sixth round of the 2024 draft out of Arkansas, where he earned first-team All-SEC honors in 2023. Little is still only 21 years old, and he's already responsible for a display in the Pro Football Hall of Fame.

Three picks from investor Kevin Simpson to capitalize on this market melt-up

(PRO Views are exclusive to PRO subscribers, giving them insight on the news of the day direct from a real investing pro. See the full discussion above.) As this stock market is ripping to records, Capital Wealth Planning's Kevin Simpson is keeping his cool, scooping up some value picks that will benefit as the rally broadens out, while deploying his tried-and-true options strategy to generate income. He's also playing along with one bull market leader — Meta — which he still puts in the value category despite its 33% gain this year. I spoke with Simpson, whose Morningstar five-star rated exchange-traded-fund offers smooth upward returns, on Wednesday as the Dow Jones Industrial average popped 400 points for a second day in a row following a tame-enough CPI report that sparked speculation multiple rate cuts from the Federal Reserve were just around the corner. "Markets are right now riding a rate-cut-environment wave that can continue and I think that the risk is missing the upside here over the short term," said Simpson, founder and chief executive officer at Capital Wealth, in the interview exclusive to PRO subscribers. Simpson, a regular on CNBC's " Halftime Report ," added to McDonald's and RTX (Raytheon) in the past week for their solid dividends and value profiles. "We're not looking at things that you're chasing. We're not going after the memes. We're looking for things that have a little bit of value," he said. MCD YTD mountain McDonald's YTD And he added to the Facebook parent this week too, which was his No. 1 pick going into the year. "We believe in it long term. We believe in the valuation," said Simpson. "The spend they are doing on AI is substantial, but I think at this stage if you're not spending on AI, you might be penalized longer term." META YTD mountain Meta, YTD Simpson also was writing covered calls in this frothy environment, which entails selling call options on a portion of the stocks you own at higher strike prices. The method allows you to collect the options premium from the sale to generate income. You do give up some of the upside because if the stock rises to that higher level, the shares can be called away from you. But it's a method he uses to generate smooth returns over time. His firm manages the Amplify CWP Enhanced Dividend Income ETF (DIVO) and the Amplify CWP Growth & Income ETF (QDVO) for investors and advisors who want Simpson to deploy the strategy for them instead of doing it on their own. Steelers countdown to kickoff — No. 56: a history of the number and who wore it best

The Steelers countdown to kickoff is here — and we're at 56 days until Pittsburgh faces off against the New York Jets at MetLife Stadium. In the spirit of the countdown, we're taking a look at the history of No. 56 and the players who wore it best. Current Steelers No. 56 wearer: OLB Alex Highsmith One of the most underrated yet dominant pass rushers in the NFL today, Alex Highsmith currently wears No. 56 for the Steelers. Drafted with the 102nd overall pick in the third round of the 2020 NFL Draft, Highsmith has produced 35.5 sacks in his first five seasons with Pittsburgh. With T.J. Watt's current holdout showing no signs of slowing down, expect Highsmith to play a pivotal role in getting the Steelers edge rushers ready for the 2025 season. Last five Steelers to wear No. 56: Alex Highsmith, 2020-present Anthony Chickillo, 2015-2019 LaMarr Woodley, 2007-2013 Chukky Okobi, 2001-2006 Mike Vrabel, 1998-2000 Best No. 56 in Steelers history: OLB LaMarr Woodley While many Steelers greats have donned No. 56, OLB LaMarr Woodley is the best. Woodley was drafted by Pittsburgh with the 46th overall pick in the second round of the 2007 NFL Draft, playing in 94 games over seven seasons with the Steelers from 2007 to 2013. A force off the edge, Woodley helped lead the Steelers to a Super Bowl XLIII victory. He also earned Second-Team All-Pro and Pro Bowl honors in 2009, after leading the team with 13.5 sacks. Woodley's impressive 57 career sacks with the Steelers rank ninth in team history. A standout presence in one of Pittsburgh's toughest defensive eras, Woodley is the greatest Steeler to ever wear No. 56. Honorable mentions: LB Robin Cole, who played in 150 games for Pittsburgh, was a four-time Super Bowl champion, and earned Pro Bowl honors in 1984; and C Ray Mansfield, who played in 182 games for the Steelers and was a two-time Super Bowl champion.
