New favourite to be first Premier League manager sacked as odds slashed
The heaviest defeat of the weekend was for Wolves as they were thrashed 4-0 at home by Manchester City, as Pep Guardiola's team suggested they will be a force once again.
However, it was West Ham's 3-0 loss at Sunderland that really caught the eye as the newly promoted side swept aside the Hammers.
It was a nightmare start to the campaign for West Ham boss Graham Potter and the bookmakers have already installed him as the new favourite to be the next manager to leave their post in the top flight.
These things can and do change very quickly as before a ball was kicked this season it was Leeds boss Daniel Farke who was favourite in this market.

The Yorkshire club get their season underway on Monday night against Everton and if they were to lose heavily then Farke may well reclaim the shortest odds on offer.
For now, though, it is Potter who is under most pressure thanks to the three second half goals at the Stadium of Light which sent the Hammers back to London with their tails between their legs.
Speaking to Sky Sports of the shock heavy defeat, Potter said: 'Very disappointing. The second half was not good from us in terms of the basics.
'First half was quite good, we controlled the crowd and were unfortunate not to score. The first goal was always going to be important. Basics of football we have to really improve.
'It is the first day, we know these things can happen as much as we don't like it to happen. We have a big game on Friday, we have to react and do a lot better.'

New Brentford boss Keith Andrews also saw his odds cut in the 'next manager to leave' market after a 3-1 defeat to Nottingham Forest.
It has been a very difficult summer for the Bees as former boss Thomas Frank left for Tottenham, star striker Bryan Mbeumo was sold to Manchester United and captain Christian Norgaard moved to Arsenal.
Yoane Wissa was also not involved at the City Ground on Sunday as he continues to be linked with a move to Newcastle.
Andrews is in his first job as a manger and it is a tough one after the losses the club has suffered.

'Get back to basics. Basics in the game is a dirty word at times, but you have to have an edge and do the ugly side of the game and compete as a team. I didn't think we did that.
'I saw it a lot in the first half and it's something we need to address. The second half was a lot better on a lot of fronts.'
West Ham and Brentford have the chance to improve their early-season fortunes in front of their home fans this weekend.
The Hammers host Chelsea on Friday night while the Bees play Aston Villa at 3pm on Saturday.

Bournemouth sign Liverpool winger Ben Doak in deal worth up to £25million
Doak spent last season on loan at Championship club Middlesbrough, scoring three goals and registering seven assists in 24 appearances. Bournemouth are understood to have paid an initial £20m and could spend a further £5m in add-ons as they reinvest some of the funds received from a series of lucrative summer departures. Forward Dango Ouattara finalised a £42.5m move to Brentford at the weekend, while the south-coast club had already sold defenders Illia Zabarnyi, Dean Huijsen and Milos Kerkez to Paris St Germain, Real Madrid and Liverpool respectively for a total of around £150m. Doak is the Cherries' fourth signing of the transfer window following the arrivals of goalkeeper Djordje Petrovic, left-back Adrien Truffert and centre-back Bafode Diakite for a combined sum in the region of £70m. He could make his debut during Saturday's top-flight fixture at home to Wolves.
