This TikTok-Viral Bissell Little Green Carpet Cleaner Hits an All-Time Low, Only at Walmart

Gizmodo05-08-2025
Life isn't spill‑free, and as much as we'd like to believe those viral TikTok gadgets that erase stains in three seconds flat, most of it is just great editing. Now, your giant vacuum cleaner might be great at its job, but hauling it out for every little mess isn't exactly practical, especially if you're dealing with a stain on the couch, stairs, or the backseat of your car. This is where the Bissell Little Green portable carpet and upholstery cleaner shines, and today, you don't have to pay the full price for it.
Walmart is currently offering it for just $88, down from its usual $123. That's a $35 savings off a small but mighty tool that also comes with a few extras to get you started. Note that the discount might not be around for long, so we recommend acting fast.

This portable cleaner deals with spills and spots using a strong spray and suction system. It comprises a 48‑ounce tank for clean water and solution, a separate tank for collecting dirty water, and a 3‑inch Tough Stain Tool that lets you scrub and extract at the same time. Got a coffee spill on the couch or a juice situation in the car? Spray to loosen the mess, give it a quick scrub, and let the suction pull the liquid and grime away for good.
And at under 10 pounds, the tool is easy to carry around, from your living room to the kids' bedroom upstairs and the car in the driveway. You also get an 8‑ounce trial‑size bottle of Bissell's very own Spot & Stain cleaner that leaves the affected area both clean and smelling fresh, so the cleaner is ready to be used right out of the box. Note that while you can use any cleaner of your choice, something with a fresh scent can help with pet messes or spills that leave odors behind.
Bissell even works some goodwill into your purchase. Every product sold supports the Bissell Pet Foundation, which helps pets in need find homes. So while you're tackling some messes, you are also contributing to a good cause.
All things considered, $88 for a portable, efficient cleaner that works on everything from couch cushions to car seats is a pretty great deal. Spills are inevitable, but with this on hand, they don't have to stick around for long. We just don't expect the discount to last very long, so we recommend taking advantage of it while you can.

Daniel Tosh — Yes, That Daniel Tosh — Got Rivian CEO RJ Scaringe to Spill the Tea on Future Products

We live in an era where podcasts by comedians—current and former—have become a strange fixture in the world of news. These shows generally aren't the place where automotive executives are breaking stories about their products, however. Times are changing, as Rivian CEO and founder RJ Scaringe shared some new details about the brand's upcoming product line with none other than... Daniel Tosh. Ever since last year's introduction of the second-generation Rivian R1 vehicles, the brand has been open about its plans to expand the lineup. We know that the mid-size R2 SUV is slated to arrive next year as a more affordable entry into the EV sphere; and once the automaker's new production facility in Georgia is online, the rally-inspired R3 hatch should arrive in time for 2028. Scaringe has previously suggested that the brand has more models in the works, including during the automaker's investors day event last year. Now, thanks to a recent appearance on the Tosh Show, we have a slightly more concrete understanding of that plan. 'We think we'll probably end up with like, maybe, five or six different vehicles,' Scaringe told Tosh. 'So after R1, there's R2 and R3. And after R2 and R3, there's R4 and R5. And that's as far out as our product plan goes today, and what we're working on, but there may be, like, an R6. I can't obviously talk about it here or show it to you... but the R4 and R5 are so cool, that's the next, next thing after R2 and R3.' While we don't have specific details about what any potential R4 and R5 models would look like, the automaker has given some hints in the past. During that aforementioned investors day, the automaker specifically noted the desire to add more affordable units beyond the R2 and R3. Scaringe has voiced his frustration at the current lack of compelling EVs below the $50,000 price point, outside of Tesla. Suffice it to say, it would be very interesting to see Rivian's level of software prowess and engineering know-how to trickle down into more 'normal' vehicles. What other sorts of models would you like to see with a Rivian badge? Let us know down below. Elon Musk abandons political project before it gets off the ground

Elon Musk abandons political project before it gets off the ground originally appeared on TheStreet. Last month, Elon Musk reached a new milestone: He became the first person in modern history to achieve a net worth of $400 billion. Musk made the jump after his rocket company, SpaceX, was recently valued at $350 billion, according to the Bloomberg Billionaires Index, causing a $20 billion jump in his net jump started speculation that Musk could become the world's first trillionaire as soon as 2027. But, while Elon Musk's political activism was an asset in 2024 (he spent at least $250 million of his own money to help get Donald Trump re-elected), it has quickly turned into a liability for the mercurial Musk. Tesla has suffered the most from Elon Musk's political career Trump's win pushed Tesla's stock price, and Musk's fortune, to new heights. But Musk's short time in Washington as the leader of the Department of Government Efficiency and his relationship with President Trump have quickly turned from an asset to a liability for Tesla. Tesla brand loyalty peaked in June 2024, according to S&P Global Mobility data seen by Reuters, when 73% of Tesla-owning households looking to buy a new car purchased another Tesla. More news: Tesla lands in more hot water over Elon Musk's Full Self Driving claims $243 million Tesla Autopilot lawsuit lawyer has message for Elon Musk Tesla's history of settling Autopilot claims before $243 million lawsuit S&P analyst Tom Libby told Reuters that Tesla's decline from the unquestioned industry brand loyalty leader to industry average was "unprecedented." "I've never seen this rapid a decline in such a short period of time," he said. For the four years before July 2024, Tesla acquired, on average, five new households for every one it lost, well ahead of any rivals. But since February 2025, Tesla has only gained fewer than two households for every one it lost to a competitor. It seems that this development has caused Musk to rethink his political ambitions. Elon Musk abandons "third party" political ambitions Elon Musk has told some of his confidants that he wants to focus his attention on his companies, according to a Wall Street Journal report. Musk is shelving plans to start a third political party independent of the Democrat and Republican U.S. parties. He threatened to do so after a very public falling out with President Trump, after Musk was relieved of his position as the unofficial head of the Department of Government the president and Musk have thrown political grenades at each other in recent months, they've also extended olive branches. Musk has repeatedly claimed that President Trump appears in the government documents detailing the crimes of convicted sex trafficker Jeffrey Epstein. Trump has, in turn, threatened to cut off the billions in government contracts Musk's companies receive annually. However, Musk has maintained ties with Vice President JD Vance, and he has told people in recent weeks that he doesn't want his political ambitions to hurt his relationship with Vance. JD Vance has been associated with Silicon Valley billionaire Peter Thiel since at least 2011, according to Forbes. Vance switched his career from law to venture capital, joining the Thiel-co-founded Mithril Capital in 2015 as a partner, according to Politico. Meanwhile, Musk and Thiel have been close for well over a decade. Musk grew up in Apartheid South Africa, the same country where Thiel went to school in the '70s. Thiel co-founded PayPal and served as its CEO, while Musk was chief product architect. Thiel was also an early investor in SpaceX and Tesla. Fellow billionaire Mark Cuban publicly supported Musk's third-party ambitions, but he told the Journal that he hasn't spoken to Musk or his team about the new party. Tesla's brand loyalty has suffered under Elon Musk Part of Musk's hesitation has been the threat of alienating Republicans who like his political leanings, as well as the Democrats who have abandoned him since he declared himself "dark MAGA." Tesla brand loyalty peaked in June 2024, according to S&P Global Mobility data seen by Reuters, when 73% of Tesla-owning households looking to buy a new car purchased another Tesla. This represented significant brand devotion, since among auto brands from the fourth quarter of 2021 through the third quarter of 2024, only Ford's quarterly loyalty rate exceeded 60%, and only one time. Yet more recent data, which tracks registration data across all 50 states, shows that Tesla's loyalty rate bottomed in March, with just 49.9% of Tesla owners looking for another. That number ticked back up to 57.4% in May. Classic Dodge Super Bee Wrecks After Throttle Sticks

Images of a classic Dodge Super Bee that was tragically wrecked after the throttle reportedly became stuck have saddened many. After all, to see what was obviously a beautiful Mopar muscle car reduced to a mangled mess is just too much for many gearheads and even regular to Motorcity Modified Auto Club out of the Detroit area, the crash happened in that area. Supposedly, a shop owner was taking the old Dodge out for a spin, we don't know if it was to diagnose a problem or after something was repaired, when things literally went sideways. We can only imagine the Super Bee was going fast when it crashed. The picture of it before the poor thing was hauled onto a wrecker shows it next to some trees and there appears to be some damage to the trunks, so it's not a huge logical leap to conclude those are what finally stopped the muscle car's forward progress. There's no word on if the driver was injured, but we don't see how he couldn't have been. However, not everyone is buying the supposed story. We can't confirm if that's indeed how the Super Bee was crashed, but it sounds plausible. But some gearheads think the story is garbage, saying you can just turn off the ignition and coast to a stop. But we believe the story because incidents like this have been documented. Take, for example, the infamous Autotopia LA crash from a while back. That was thanks to a stuck throttle and failed brakes, so it is obviously possible. Since we don't really know the story about this crash, we're suspending all judgment until more can be learned. For now, what we know for sure if a beautiful classic Dodge Super Bee has been reduced to scraps, at least until someone who values the muscle car undertakes a full restoration.
