Demaryius Thomas elected to Broncos Ring of Fame
The Broncos will be honoring the late Demaryius Thomas this season.
The team announced on Tuesday that Thomas has been elected to the team's Ring of Fame. The wide receiver will be the 38th inductee when he enters the group during halftime of a Week Seven game against the Giants.

Thomas spent over eight seasons with the Broncos after joining the team as a 2010 first-round pick. Thomas was a member of the Super Bowl 50 champions while in Denver and some of his teammates will be on hand for the 10th anniversary celebration of that win.
"Demaryius Thomas' election to the Denver Broncos Ring of Fame — in his first year of eligibility — is a testament to the indelible mark he left on our organization and community," team owners Greg Penner and Carrie Walton Penner said in a statement. "One of the most beloved players and greatest wide receivers in franchise history, Demaryius inspired our fans with breathtaking athleticism, record-setting performances and a joyful, infectious spirit. While we wish 'D.T.' was with us to celebrate this special moment, we look forward to honoring Demaryius alongside his Super Bowl 50 teammates during an unforgettable Alumni Weekend."
Thomas holds the Broncos' single-season receiving yard record and is second in career receiving yards in franchise history. He died in 2021 at the age of 33.

Ex-Broncos pass rusher dominated the UFL this spring And the award for the best former Denver Broncos player in the UFL goes to ... Pita Taumoepenu! Taumoepenu (6-2, 250 pounds) signed with the Broncos in 2021, and after failing to make the active roster out of training camp, he spent the season on the team's practice squad. He is a journeyman pass rusher who has spent time with six NFL teams and now plays for the UFL's St. Louis Battlehawks. Taumoepenu, 31, had a dominant spring season, leading the league with 7.5 sacks. He also totaled 27 tackles (five behind the line), three forced fumbles, two fumble recoveries and one pass breakup in nine games. Following that impressive season, Taumoepenu was named to the 2025 All-UFL Team. Another former Broncos pass rusher, Andre Mintze, ranked fourth in the UFL with 5.5 sacks in nine games. He signed with Denver as an undrafted free agent out of Vanderbilt in 2021 and initially made the 53-man roster before landing on injured reserve. Mintze went to training camp with the Minnesota Vikings in 2022 and has been playing spring football since 2023 with the DC Defenders. Elsewhere in the UFL, running back Nate McCrary, who had a brief stint with the Broncos in 2021, rushed for 380 yards (fifth-most in the league) and two touchdowns this spring. Former Broncos quarterbacks Kevin Hogan and Case Cookus both started three games. Cookus totaled 546 passing yards and threw five touchdown passes. Hogan had 500 yards and two scores. Jarrett Guarantano only made one appearance with 29 yards and no scores. Ex-Denver punters Colby Wadman (1,335 yards) and Marquette King (1,709 yards) played the full 10-game season. King averaged 47.5 yards per punt with a long of 69 yards and eight kicks downed inside the 20-yard line. Wadman averaged 46.0 yards per boot with a long of 68 yards and 11 kicks downed inside the 20. The UFL will hold conference final games on Sunday featuring the Michigan Panthers against the Birmingham Stallions, and the DC Defenders taking on the St. Louis Battlehawks. The winners of those matchups will face off in the UFL's final on June 14. Following the championship game, NFL teams will be allowed to sign UFL players. The third-year wideout out of Tennessee is ready to answer his critics with a breakout performance in 2025. He has been vocal on social media that he doesn't forget his critics and former teammate Allen Robinson is encouraging him. "Talk your (expletive)," Robinson wrote. Hyatt was the 73rd overall selection in the 2022 draft after being named the Biletnikoff Award winner as the nation's top wide receiver. His Giants career has not gone as planned. Hyatt has just 31 receptions for 435 yards and no touchdowns in 33 games played. The emergence of several other young wideouts, particularly Malik Nabers and Wan'Dale Robinson, has pushed Hyatt down the depth chart. Hyatt is excited that his role is being expanded this summer. The arrival of veteran quarterback Russell Wilson and his famous deep "moon ball" needs a speedster on the other end. He's intent on Hyatt running those routes. "Jalin Hyatt, I think that he's going to have a great year this year," Wilson said. "I believe in him." This offseason, Hyatt was among the offensive skill players joining Wilson in private workouts down in Atlanta. Hyatt has been running with the 1's, or the starters at OTAs. He is not only a favorite of Wilson's but of backup Jameis Winston as well. Winston went as far as calling Hyatt an "emerging superstar."

Aqib Talib reacts to being snubbed by College Football Hall of Fame Nominees for the 2026 College Football Hall of Fame class were announced earlier this week, and six former Denver Broncos players made the list, including retired pass rusher Elvis Dumervil. Aqib Talib, meanwhile, was not among the ex-Denver players nominated. The retired cornerback played for Kansas, winning the Jack Tatum Trophy (given to college football's best defensive back) in his final season. Talib was also named a unanimous All-American in his last season, and he was named a first-team All-Big 12 player in 2006 and 2007 before entering the NFL in 2008. Talib reacted to his CFB HOF snub on his Twitter/X page earlier this week. "Y'all tell me," Talib tweeted. "Am I College football Hall of Fame? Go check the numbers (Offense & Defense) and accolades and let me know! Im just saying NFF! This was on my mind this morning." Talib played in 34 games with the Jayhawks from 2005-2007, totaling 162 tackles, 13 interceptions and two forced fumbles. He returned two of his interceptions for touchdowns, racking up 322 yards on 13 returns. Talib also hauled in nine receptions for 224 yards and five touchdowns during his final two seasons at Kansas. Talib went on to have a 12-year career in the NFL. A five-time Pro Bowler and two-time All-Pro, Talib helped the Broncos win Super Bowl 50 in 2015. He retired in 2020 with 35 career interceptions, 10 of which he returned for touchdowns (fourth-most in NFL history).
