At the event, Miley performed a few songs from her upcoming album Something Beautiful, and admitted that she has experimented with sounds and music in her album. She also performed some of her previous hits at the event.
Miley's visual album is set for a big-screen release on June 12, shortly after her ninth studio album, Something Beautiful, which is dropping on May 30. The new film is described as 'a unique visual experience fuelled by fantasy' and a 'one of a kind pop opera".
Miley recently opened up on a 'traumatic' health scare which she endured while co-hosting a show with her godmother Dolly Parton. During a recent appearance on The Zane Lowe Show, the 32-year-old revealed that she suffered an ovarian cyst rupture during a New Year's Eve special to ring in 2023.
'I had a pretty traumatic experience on a show that I was doing with Lorne [Michaels] when I was doing my New Year's show. I had a medical emergency. I had an ovarian cyst rupture. We didn't know exactly what was going on, so we did it,' Miley said.
In the interview, the Wrecking ball hitmaker also addressed her vocal cord issues, saying, 'So I have this very large polyp on my vocal cord, which has given me a lot of the tone and the texture that has made me who I am, but it's extremely difficult to perform with because it's like running a marathon with ankle weights on.'

Like, share, collapse: The curious case of manufactured modern consent
Excerpt: We agreed to everything. Even the crash. Especially the crash. That's the magic of consent in the age of capital: you won't even notice when you're nodding your way into ruin—with a selfie filter and a 'Let's Go Brandon' mug in hand. There's something perversely elegant about a society that can manufacture both iPhones and ideologies with the same ruthless efficiency. Yanis Varoufakis [a Greek politician and economist], riffing off Chomsky's Manufacturing Consent, tosses us a neat little paradox wrapped in economic angst: that the more financialized our lives become, the more agreeable we get—and the more spectacular our breakdowns. Consent, it seems, isn't what it used to be. Once upon a time, it had to be extracted—with religion, kings, or gulags. These days, it's delivered via push notification and monetized outrage. Capitalism doesn't just want your labour; it wants your belief system bundled in prime-time infotainment and Facebook Lives. All dynamic societies, Varoufakis says, thrive on two processes: the making of surplus and the making of consent. The former fills your wallet (or used to). The latter convinces you that it's okay the neighbour got a fatter wallet for doing the same job. But somewhere along the way, as finance ballooned and factories vanished, this little duet hit a remix. Consent stopped being coerced and became curated. The age of propaganda gave way to the era of the podcast. Enter Trump, stage right—red tie flapping, indictment count rising. A real-estate mogul-turned-cable news messiah who understood early on that if you can't manufacture consent, just manufacture chaos and sell it in trucker hats. His genius wasn't policy; it was narrative ownership. He turned politics into pro wrestling and got half the country to cheer the heel turn. The other half? They rage-tweeted, which was basically a form of engagement. The algorithm doesn't care why you're angry, only that you are. And it's not just America. From Modi's WhatsApp bhakts to Europe's Hungary Games, the playbook is being photocopied at scale. Financial precarity? Blame the migrants. Sky-high inequality? Distract with culture wars. It's cheaper than redistributing wealth, and it polls better in the suburbs. So we scroll. We shop. We 'stand with' whatever the feed suggests today. We nod along to leaders who promise to make things great again—no one quite asks for whom. And then, once every few years, the scaffolding collapses and we wonder how no one saw it coming. Maybe we didn't need to. Maybe deep down, we agreed to the fall too. Late capitalism doesn't knock. It slides into your DMs with a 20% coupon, a righteous cause, and a man in a suit yelling on TikTok or those Meta platforms. All it asks for is your consent—and your complicity when the crash comes dressed as patriotism.

Teen Working At Burger King In Graduation Uniform Gets Rs 68 Lakh Donation
A Georgia teenager received nearly $80,000, approximately Rs 68,25,360, in donations after attending his Burger King work shift in his graduation ceremony attire. Mykale Baker, 18, had every reason to celebrate on May 21. The Mills Creek High School senior had just walked across the graduation stage with medals he earned with a lot of hard work. But Mr Baker picked up his diploma and resumed his job at Burger King in Dacula, Georgia. He was still in his graduation gear and his silent show of devotion didn't go unnoticed. Maria Mendoza, an observant local, was drawn to Mr Baker's outfit and decided to capture the moment on a TikTok video. She showed the diligent worker who chose to work hard and postpone his well-earned summer vacation. Like Ms Mendoza, the online community was so amazed by the young man's work ethic that her 20-second video went viral with more than three million views. Inspired by the overwhelming response online, Ms Mendoza launched a GoFundMe account for Mr Baker, which has as so far received nearly $80,000, approximately Rs 68,25,360. "One young man silently showed the world what determination looks like," Ms Mendoza wrote on the GoFundMe page, "while many graduates celebrated the night with friends and family." "He proudly wore his medals to his shift at Burger King shortly after receiving his diploma," she continued. Ms Mendoza further mentioned that Baker "didn't do it for attention." "He is completely unaware that his story went viral. However, his work ethic, modesty, and dedication touched countless people," she continued. Ms Mendoza's kindness brought Mr Baker and his mother to tears on May 26 when she disclosed the total amount of money raised. "His commitment and silent strength truly touched me. I felt compelled to take action to acknowledge that. I'm grateful that I was able to help him," Ms Mendoza told 11 Alive. Mr Baker, who wants to study mechanics in trade school, was touched by the overwhelming response. "Thank you so much," he told Ms Mendoza's TikTok followers. "I didn't have enough money for school, so I was thinking about taking a gap year, but thank you to everyone now," he said. Mr Baker will receive the entire donation raised through GoFundMe so he can accomplish his college dreams.
