Alarming video shows part of Boeing wing breaking during a Delta flight
Alarming video shows part of a Boeing 737's wing breaking and flapping loose while a Delta flight was still thousands of feet in the air, preparing for landing in Texas. Delta Air Lines Flight 1893 was flying from Orlando International to Austin-Bergstrom International Airport on Tuesday when passengers spotted a metal flap dangling off the back of the wing, CNN reported. 'We felt it was bad turbulence. The plane was shaking,' said Shanila Arif, the passenger who filmed the footage. Advertisement 'The lady in front of us opened the window and told us it is broken. I opened the window and got scared,' she said. Arif said she feared that if the wing flap broke off it could hit the aircraft's tail and cause it to crash. 3 A Delta passenger spotted the wing flap come loose mid-flight. We apologize to our customers for their experience as nothing is more important than the safety of our people and customers,' the statement concluded.
