On July 7, 2005, London's public transportation system was targeted in an attack that involved four suicide bombings during morning rush hour. The terrorist attack killed 52 people and nearly 800 were injured. The new four-part documentary series 'Attack on London: Hunting the 7/7 Bombers' shares unseen footage and features interviews with politicians, emergency workers and relatives of the victims to tell the story of the attack and the aftermath. The summer Olympics happen once every four years, but if you are looking for a yearly sport to get invested in, the Tour de France might be for you. Airing on NBC and streaming on Peacock this month, the annual men's race, with multiple stages over the course of approximately 2,000 miles and 23 days, not only tests the endurance of athletes but also provides scenic views around France. A new season of the documentary series 'Tour de France: Unchained' gives an in-depth look at the 2024 race, following several different teams and athletes. Streaming Wednesday on Netflix.
In 1971, Ms. magazine was co-founded by Gloria Steinem and was first published as an insert in New York magazine. By January 1972, the first stand-alone issue was released on a monthly basis. The three-part series 'Dear Ms.: A Revolution in Print' looks at the magazine's founding and its history as a publication that focuses on women-centered issues, including abortion, work balance and sexual politics in a primarily male-dominated space. The documentary also features interviews with Steinem, her co-founders Letty Cottin Pogrebin and Pat Carbine, and the first editor of the magazine, Suzanne Braun Levine. Wednesday at 9 p.m. on HBO and streaming on Max.

Nearly two months since the second season aired, the women of 'The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives' are back for a reunion this week, hosted by Nick Viall of 'The Bachelor' fame. Lots of fights, feuds and snarky quips have continued with the group after the show has aired, so there is lots left to discuss. Lens announce return to old transfer strategy
The days of buying an Elye Wahi for €30m or an Andy Diouf for €14m are over at RC Lens, the club's new sporting director has announced. The spending in the wake of the club's UEFA Champions League qualification did not pay off. In fact, they are still paying for it, and it has given rise to a period of austerity at the club, which came into force under Will Still last season. DAZN was the main broadcaster last season but their deal has been cut short after just one season. The LFP are now launching their own channel and are looking to associate themselves with partners ahead of the coming season. The body have, however, admitted that it will be a difficult season financially, with limited TV revenue. Within this context, the new sporting director, Jean-Louis Leca, has announced a return to the old strategy. 'The [version of] Lens that performed well is the one that bought Loïc Badé intelligently, the one that went out and bought Jonathan Clauss, the one that intelligently loaned Arnaud Kalimuendo, without even speaking about the opportunities [seized] by signing Seko Fofana and Deiver Machado in Ligue 2 from Toulouse,' he said in a press conference transcribed by Foot Mercato journalist Sébastien Denis. He added, 'When we went and bought Kevin Danso and Facundo Medina, no one had heard of them. They were transfers worth €3/4/5m. Brit Sonay Kartal upsets Jelena Ostapenko in Wimbledon first round
Six days after Grand Slam champion Jelena Ostapenko beat Sonay Kartal at Eastbourne, the British No. 3 got revenge in the best possible way. Kartal recorded a shock Wimbledon victory over her seeded opponent at the All England Club, beating Ostapenko 7-5, 2-6, 6-2. The 23-year-old established herself on the grass courts of SW19 last year, when she got to the third round while ranked No. 298 in the world. That year she went out to Coco Gauff. The early signs this year show that Kartal is once again well up for putting on a show in front of her home crowd, and a run in the tournament could see her break into the world's top 50. Advertisement In the unforgiving heat, Kartal restricted Ostapenko's trademark, flat-hitting power to impose her own tricky game on the Latvian, holding firm in some nervy moments to earn one of her most impressive career victories to date. 'That was one of the toughest matches I have played. I struggle against the big hitters, she beat me easily last week,' Kartal said courtside. 'Thank you to everyone for coming out. 'After the year I had last year, I am happy to put myself under pressure to succeed. Last year I left this tournament feeling a different player. I want to see how far I can go this week.' Kartal immediately fell a break behind in the opening set, going 5-2 and then 5-4 down. With Ostapenko holding three set points for the opener, the Brit clawed her way back into contention. With the momentum on her side, Kartal charged ahead, claiming another break and holding to 15 for the set. Kartal instead dominated the third set, securing three consecutive breaks to put herself in a near insurmountable position. Serving for a bagel set, she appeared to let the pressure show as she was broken to 15 in a nervy-looking few moments. But despite Ostapenko's subsequent hold, the No. 20 seed could not prevent the Brit from sealing the match on serve. The jubilant crowd on the No. 2 Court jumped to their feet following the first British success story of the tournament. Kartal's victory over Daria Kasatkina at Queen's earlier this month represented just her second win over top-20 opposition, and while Ostapenko is ranked just one place outside that category, it represents a big scalp for the Brit.
