Gillian Taylforth, 69, reveals the secrets to her ageless looks as she puts on a very glamorous display for stunning Prima cover shoot
The EastEnders star, 69, posed up a storm in an array of sophisticated outfits and discussed her skincare and beauty regime while appearing as Prima's cover star.
She revealed that she only maintains her self-care for herself and gave an insight into her fitness regime and her top tips for maintaining a glowing complexion.
'It's very nice if people say lovely comments about how I look, but I don't do it for anyone other than myself,' she told the publication.
'Self-care helps me feel good about myself. I am getting older, and I do notice changes, but for me, I just want to maintain my appearance for as long as can.
'And if it all falls flat very soon, there's not much I could do about it.'

Gillian, who is best-known for playing Kathy Beale on the BBC soap, revealed she is 'meticulous' with her skincare and keeps fit in her home gym.
Though her busy schedule means she can't always keep to her regime, Gillian has even gone to the length of getting a treadmill in her dressing room to keep active.
'I always fill my water bottle with different fruits. Every morning, I have hot water and lemon and a detox tea bag,' she revealed.
'I'm disciplined with what I eat, but I don't deny myself and I'm meticulous with my skincare. I also love keeping fit.
'I have a gym at home, but my schedule sometimes means I'm up at 5am, so I can't always make it work.
'But I feel very lethargic if I don't do anything, so I have weights and a treadmill in my dressing room, so I can do a quick workout.'
In 2015, Gillian opted for a 'non-surgical face lift' ahead of her 60th birthday and was treated by Dr Aamer Khan at the Harley Street Skin Clinic.
She opted for procedure which uses dissolvable polylactic acid thread to remove wrinkles, which costs around £2,000 and takes about half an hour.
The thread is used to give a tailor-made result, lifting specific parts of the face.
In the interview, the actress described EastEnders as her 'favourite' place to work and said she was thrilled when she made her bombshell return in 2015 despite being presumed dead.
'EastEnders has always been in my heart, because that's where I feel I became who I am. This wonderful character, Kathy, was always a big part of me,' she gushed.
Gillian said she has very strong relationships with the cast and sweetly revealed her on-screen son Adam Woodyatt (Ian Beale) even calls her 'mum' off-screen.
We've got a close bond – he can see if I've forgotten my lines, and he'll say them to remind me,' she said.
'The moment we reunited when Kathy came back, there were tears everywhere–it was a magical moment.'
Gillian's character Kathy is one of the soap's longest-running characters, having graced the screen since the very first episode in 1985.
She was first written out in 1998 when Gillian decided to quit, but made several short-lived returns until Kathy was eventually killed off in a car crash abroad in 2006.
However, she was invited back for the 30th anniversary episodes in a shock return as it emerged she had faked her own death in a major plot twist.
Gillian has remained a staple of the BBC soap opera ever since and still features as the formidable Kathy four decades after first joining the show.
The August 2025 issue of Prima is now on sale.

Ewan McGregor channels Trainspotting character as he braves the shave for cancer charity

Michael Sheen says prospects for actors from poorer backgrounds ‘quite scary'
Michael Sheen has warned the pathways that helped him break into acting have all but collapsed, as he said the 'bank of mum and dad' would be unable to support aspiring actors from poorer communities. The Bad Omens star, who grew up in the working class community of Port Talbot, said he had benefited from school support, youth theatres and grants that have since come under financial pressure or been abolished entirely. He said his journey was also aided by a supportive family and the knowledge that his home town had already produced acting royalty in Richard Burton and Sir Anthony Hopkins. However, he said the prospect for actors from underprivileged backgrounds now looked 'quite scary'. 'Having those school plays where the drama was happening in my school – then there was a youth theatre that was funded through the education department of the council, and then I got a grant to go to drama school,' said Sheen, who was speaking at an event opening the Edinburgh TV Festival. 'So just to get to the point of going to drama school, all of those things sort of had to be in place. All of those things have gone, essentially. 'It does worry me that for young people who might want to get into this – if you are relying on the bank of mum and dad – it's really tough to even just go and live in London, or move to wherever. That's why it's so important we get stuff out of London and around the country.' His comments come amid wider concern in the TV world about narrowing access. A crisis in the industry has left many established freelance workers out of a job as production has slowed down and the industry adapts to fast-changing consumption habits. It has led to fears that those without resources behind them will be the first forced out of the industry that already faces allegations of having too many privately educated executives. Sheen said there were schemes to support actors from all backgrounds, but he feared they came too late in life to help some talented children. He advocated a system more like football scouting, spotting talent at a younger age. 'It needs to be like football,' he said. 'You need to get them when they're six, seven years old – start supporting people much younger and help them, because a lot of people are just never going to get to the point where they get picked up in these sorts of programmes and projects.' Sheen said he was trying to address the issue with his new Welsh National Theatre, whose first production, Our Town, by the US playwright Thornton Wilder, has been put through a 'Welsh lens' by the Doctor Who writer Russell T Davies. Sheen said that he was now able to spend time helping his home community in Port Talbot thanks to his success as an actor. However, he revealed he did not have immediate success in Hollywood, initially finding himself spending 'most of my time sitting in diners, reading Stephen King novels and doing very little'. He said it was only when he played Tony Blair in the Channel 4 drama The Deal in 2003, which led to him playing the former prime minister again in The Queen three years later, that his Hollywood career took off. 'I've gone from sitting in diners reading Stephen King novels on my own completely, to then having a very different life and opening up all kinds of opportunities back here as well as over there – and suddenly having a bit of choice and all those kinds of things.'

Harry Potter TV show shares first look at all the Weasley siblings
The highly anticipated Harry Potter TV show has shared a first look at all the Weasley siblings. In May this year, the three lead child stars were finally announced after months of speculation - with Dominic playing protagonist Harry, Arabella Stanton as Hermoine Granger and Alastair Stout as Ron Weasley. The young trio were selected from more than 30,000 actors who auditioned in a casting call last year. And now, the casting for Ron's siblings: Fred, George, Percy and Ginny has been revealed. Tristan Harland will star as Fred, Gabriel Harland as George, Ruari Spooner as Percy, and Gracie Cochrane as Ginny. On Tuesday, HBO released a photo of all the Weasley kids smiling for a fun selfie. In the Harry Potter films, the original Weasley siblings were played by several actors. James and Oliver Phelps played Fred and George Weasley, respectively. Rupert Grint portrayed Ron Weasley, and Bonnie Wright played Ginny Weasley. Additionally, Chris Rankin played Percy Weasley. Filming for the HBO program, which was first announced back in April 2023, is well and truly underway. On Monday, Harry Potter's Hagrid actor Nick Frost towered over lead star Dominic McLaughlin as filming for the TV series took over London and brought traffic to a standstill. Nick and Dominic were pictured walking down Borough High Street near London Bridge. Their costumes both match their characters' descriptions in the movies and books. Taking on Daniel Radcliffe's role of Harry, Scottish actor Dominic, 11, looked serious as he looked into the distance while rocking a blue, green and yellow rain jacket. He completed the look with some wide-leg jeans, a rucksack and Harry's iconic glasses. Meanwhile, Hot Fuzz and Shaun of the Dead legend Nick, 53, donned long curly hair and a matching beard. The actor looked warm in a khaki jacket, black trousers and brown boots. In one snap of the pair together, some may notice that Nick - who is 5ft 7 inches, towers over Dominic - and if you look closely, he has a mask on his face which has two black dots above his mouth. While it's initially unclear in the photos as to where Harry and Hagrid are going, given the location, it looks like the duo are likely on their way to Diagon Alley. After the photos emerged, fans have taken to Reddit to share their thoughts. They said: 'The OUTFIT is just so spot on, the too big jeans, baggy shirt, the dirty coat that I swear half the boys at my school had and probably came from C&A. The attention to detail is just so good', 'IKR. they also roughed-up Hagrid. unlike the first official photo where his beard looks like a perfectly conditioned and curled hair'. 'I love that they're showing Harry in baggy clothes. It really fits with how it was always described in the books'. 'He's drowning in the clothes, it's perfect', 'One of the things I really like here as a book comparison is Nick Frosts face being naturally sterner while resting. We know he can do the big happy smiles but Hagrid is meant to look a bit scary at first. Although I loved Coltrane - he always looked warm whatever expression he had', 'I'll forever love Robbie Coltrane's Hagrid but I'm also really excited to see Nick Frost's Hagrid on screen', 'Dominic gets more and more Harry with every leak/picture', 'Perfect Harry. perfect Hagrid. how his tiny steps struggling to keep up with Hagrid's big strides. TT.' It comes after original Harry Potter director Chris Columbus revealed a character he wants to appear in the HBO series after they were cut from the made it obvious which character he hoped the show would tackle, and that character is Peeves. Speaking about the films at a red carpet event for his new mystery film Thursday Night Murder Club, he told Screen Rant: 'I think the thing I think about mostly is Peeves. 'The character of Peeves, we shot sequences, we did not have time to render Peeves in a CGI way. So I'm anxious to see what they do with Peeves.' Peeves had a minor presence in the first books with pranks and insults, but took a more notable role when he and the other Hogwarts ghosts resisted the reign of Dolores Umbridge and later in the grand Battle of Hogwarts. However, the character played by comedian Rik Mayall was cut from the films as Warner Bros felt the movie was too long. As filming for the reboot is underway, one of the major questions is how it can top the hit movies.
