Snow forecast for Perth these winter school holidays
Cosy at the Quay is set to evoke a European winter by offering free, family-friendly activities from noon to 10pm on July 18-20.
It will snow each day on the hour every hour from 1pm to 9pm for approximately 15 minutes.
Visitors are reminded not to forget their jackets and cameras, and to be quick, as snowflakes don't float for long.

By day, it's a family-friendly haven with a live piano accordion and kids dance party, and by night, Perth's hottest DJs transform the dome into Euro Nights.
If you're craving something sweet, marshmallow toasting will take place by cosy fire pits from 3pm to 6pm each day, with marshmallows and sticks provided for free.

Other entertainment will include live opera and poetry, Viennese waltzing, stilt-walkers and European folk lessons.
For some extra school holiday fun, kids hour will happen from 2pm -3pm on Friday with a kid-friendly dance party bringing the vibes and a special appearance from The Ritz Carlton Perth mascot Leo the Lion.

‘We'd be delighted if members of the royal family were able to attend': Prince Harry's team goes off script during Invictus interview
Prince Harry's PR team has been dealt a curve ball after a representative for the Duke of Sussex's signature Invictus Games made a curious remark after being questioned about the royal family. Harry helped set up Invictus in 2014 as an Olympics-style international sporting event for injured and wounded servicemen and women across the globe. The first ever winter edition of the Invictus Games took place in Whistler and Vancouver in February this year and featured athletes from 23 different countries. The next edition of the Invictus Games is set to take place in 2027 in Birmingham, marking the event's return to Harry's native United Kingdom for the first time since the inaugural London games. Last week, Helen Helliwell, CEO of the Invictus Games in Birmingham, sat down with People magazine and revealed her hopes that Harry's estranged relatives will show up in Birmingham. The iconic American tabloid typically reports on the Sussexes positively and has been granted rare exclusives from Harry and Meghan. 'They've been supporters of Invictus since inception in 2014,' Ms Helliwell told the magazine. "Again, we're two years away, and it's too soon to confirm who's going to be there. 'But obviously, we'd be delighted if members of the royal family were able to attend and would very much welcome their presence in a couple of years' time.' While the royal family has supported Harry's signature organisation since its inception, no senior royals have appeared at any Invictus event since the Sussexes left royal duties five years ago. The entire monarchy also noticeably snubbed a major service in London to celebrate a decade of Invictus at St Paul's Cathedral last year. Instead, Harry was supported at the event by his uncle Earl Spencer and his aunt Lady Jane Fellowes from Princess Diana's side of the family. Meanwhile, Harry's wife Meghan Markle still allegedly refuses to return to the UK without an apology from the monarchy for perceived mistreatment. The comments come after fresh speculation the rift between Harry and King Charles is finally starting to thaw. Over the weekend, Harry's new chief communications officer, Meredith Maines, and UK-based PR rep Liam Maguire were photographed meeting with the King's top aide, Communications Secretary Tobyn Andreae, near Clarence House. The meeting, first revealed by The Mail on Sunday, reportedly had "no formal agenda" but there were "things both sides wanted to talk about".

Donald Trump includes himself in Club World Cup trophy celebration with Chelsea
Cole Palmer has produced a scintillating first-half masterclass as Chelsea demolished a flat Paris St Germain 3-0 to win a one-sided Club World Cup final at New Jersey's MetLife Stadium. Strangely though, it was US President Donald Trump who took centre stage during the trophy presentation. The 79-year-old put medals around the players' necks and handed trophy over to the EPL club, at which point it seemed a natural time for him to exit stage left — literally. Palmer appeared to say something in Trump's direction as FIFA boss Giovanni Infantino attempted to lead the President away from the stage. But Trump stayed, including himself in the iconic trophy lift, which set social media alight. 'Donald Trump has celebrated more international trophies than Arsenal,' one person quipped. 'Reece James asking Donald Trump 'are you gonna leave' and Trump just not moving for the trophy lift is mental,' another said. 'This is a simulation we are living in we now have Chelsea trophy lift pics with Donald Trump in the middle celebrating with the team,' an incredulous third joked. Back on the field, Palmer scored twice and provided an assist for Joao Pedro in a devastating display in the revamped tournament's decider that left the European and French champions, who finished with 10 men, shell-shocked. Chelsea, who won the 2021 Club World Cup in its previous format, struck first in the 22nd minute when PSG fullback Nuno Mendes gifted possession to Malo Gusto. While his initial effort was blocked by Mendes, Gusto collected the rebound and found Palmer unmarked in the middle and the midfielder made no mistake, slotting a tidy finish just inside the left post. Palmer doubled the lead after the 30th-minute cooling break with a goal of sublime quality. Latching onto a precise through ball from Levi Colwill, he cut inside before faking a pass to dummy a defender and firing into the bottom-left corner. Palmer then turned provider, running up the channel before finding Joao Pedro, who took the ball in his stride and beat the offside trap before chipping his finish beautifully over keeper Gianluigi Donnarumma. PSG's misery was completed when Joao Neves was sent off for pulling Marc Cucurella's hair in the 83rd minute, as PSG's players grew in frustration as the match progressed. The encounter turned into an ill-tempered match at the end, with players going at each other after the final whistle, but the flare-ups quickly dissipated as Chelsea's players went to celebrate with their fans. 'It's a great feeling. Even better because everyone doubted us before the game, we knew that. To put a fight on like we did, it's good,' Palmer told DAZN. 'The gaffer put a great gameplan out. He knew where the space was going to be. He tried to free me up as much as possible and I just had to repay him and score some goals.' Chelsea arrived in the US after winning Europe's third-tier Conference League and on the back of a domestic campaign in which they just managed a top-four Premier League finish. Prior to the match, Chelsea manager Enzo Maresca said he was expecting a 'game of chess' against PSG coach Luis Enrique, but it was a quick checkmate for the Italian who gave a tactical masterclass. Maresca's team employed a relentless high press and emulated the tactics used by Brazilian outfit Botafogo, who had beaten PSG 1-0 in the group stage and were the only team to score against Luis Enrique's side in the previous eight games. Their press caused PSG all sorts of trouble and when Maresca's side couldn't regain possession, they sat deep, frustrating the European champions, who were unable to play their usual game. The direct and pacey football we had become used to seeing from PSG was Chelsea's game on Sunday, with Palmer, Gusto and Joao Pedro picking apart the PSG defence, especially on the left side. Other than an early golden opportunity for PSG's Desire Doue that was wasted, the first half was all Chelsea's and, after they opened their three-goal lead, the French side could never recover.

Audio guru pays $12.9m for personal trainer to the stars' Byron spread
Music engineer pioneer Tom Misner, of SAE Institute, has emerged as the nearly $12.9 million buyer of Cedar Hill in Byron Bay's hinterland, breaking the suburb record in Newrybar. The Croatian-born businessman, who made his fortune selling his audio engineering school SAE Institute for about $300 million in 2010, purchased the eight-bedroom, eight-bathroom award-winning home and it settled under the company Byron Dream Holdings, of which he is a director. Misner purchased the two-hectare property from wellness guru and personal trainer to the stars James Duigan and his wife Chrissy. Duigan has trained the likes of supermodels such as Rosie Huntington-Whiteley and Elle Macpherson as well as Australia's own Thor actor Chris Hemsworth. Misner will be joining Chris' younger brother Liam Hemsworth, who is a Newrybar local. Liam is in the process of building his own luxury compound. The property sold through Will Phillips of Sotheby's International Realty Byron Bay, who declined to comment. It ends a multi-year campaign to offload the property and while it falls short of the initial $20 million asking price when it was first listed with a different agent, it has managed to reset the suburb record by almost $1 million. The previous suburb record was held by philanthropist Arvid Petersen who paid $12 million in 2021 for a five-bedroom house set on almost 37 acres. It's not the first time Misner has broken the record in the Byron shire as he is moving from his nearby Bangalow property, for which he paid a then-suburb record of $15 million for his Tuscany-inspired multi residence.
