Actress Gouri Tonnk, who was last seen playing Sakshi Chaudhary in Deewaniyat, is currently taking a break from the screen to focus on health and home. 'I did three shows back-to-back— Kamnaa , Teri Meri Dooriyaan , and Deewaniyat , which wrapped up in January this year,' Gouri shared. 'For Deewaniyat , I had to put on around 6-7 kilos to bring authenticity to the character. Now I'm back on my fitness journey. I've been keeping a check on my diet and maintaining a consistent workout routine.' While she's not signed on to a new project just yet, Gouri is using this time to reconnect with her family. 'Till I take up a new show when I get something interesting. But meanwhile, I'm enjoying being at home with my kids and making time for myself. I recently took a short holiday too—it's been refreshing,' she added. Looking ahead, the actress is eager to take on more complex and challenging roles. 'I'm ready to get back to work again. I'm hoping for something more promising and challenging than what I've done so far. I wish something like Anupamaa comes my way—or even a completely dark, negative character.
