However, many users also noted the similar trend of dance numbers after the huge success of Tamannaah Bhatia's Aaj Ki Raat track from Stree 2. Huma Qureshi on doing Rajkummar Rao's Maalik song for free: Can't charge friends
Actor Huma Qureshi has impressed fans with her sizzling performance in the recently released track 'Dil Thaam Ke' from Rajkummar Rao's upcoming film 'Maalik'. However, what's grabbed even more attention is her decision to do the song free of charge. In an exclusive conversation with India Today, the 'Maharani' actor opened up about the track and what it meant to to us, Huma revealed, 'It's not the first time I've been offered a song, but I just loved this one so much that I had to say yes. The moment producer Jayu (Jay Shewakramani) played it for me, I absolutely fell in love. I knew I had to be a part of it.'The actor emphasised that 'Maalik' wasn't just another project, but a collaboration among friends. 'Honestly, it felt like a bunch of friends coming together, it was a no-brainer,' she added. Huma also confirmed reports that she didn't charge a fee for the track. It was just two days of shooting, so I felt it really wasn't necessary to take money,' she said the song video here: The shoot, however, wasn't a quick one. I remember on the second day, there was a complicated shot the choreographer had designed, with a lot of camera movement and many junior dancers involved. It took time to get everything right. Everyone was trying their best. It was a technical thing, it was no one's fault."'I don't believe in walking away, saying my shift is over. My conditioning is such that if I'm at work, I'll finish my job and then leave. So yes, it went on for 16 hours, but it wasn't planned.
