BHU students rank 2nd in nat'l essay contest
Varanasi: Two students from Banaras Hindu University (BHU) received awards from Union education minister Dharmendra Pradhan for securing second position in the All India Essay Competition in PhD and Postgraduate categories.

The awardees are Shubham Kumar Mishra, a research scholar, and Jhinuk Barman, a postgraduate student. The competition was organised in New Delhi by the Indian Council of Philosophical Research. The theme of the competition was 'Role of Indian Philosophy in National Integration'. The award distribution ceremony was attended by Vineet Joshi, secretary of the Ministry of Education, Prof Deepak Kumar Srivastava, chairman of ICPR, and Prof Sachhidananda Mishra, member secretary of ICPR.
