For $120, Metro by T-Mobile will open the door to 5G for you with the new TCL K32
Teased at CES 2025 some months ago, the TCL K32 5G phone is now available at Metro by T-Mobile.
The budget-friendly device is far from the performance benchmarks of flagships like the iPhone 16 Pro or the Galaxy S25 Ultra, but its price is also far lower than those costly flagships. We're talking about a smartphone that is 5G capable and will set you back $119.99, as the offer by Metro by T-Mobile clarifies. The TCL K32 5G comes with a large 6.75-inch HD+ display (720x1612 px resolution) and a 2-in-1 camera setup on its back. The main snapper is a 13 MP one, and there's a 2 MP depth sensor that doubles as a macro lens, although I wouldn't rely on it to produce striking up close bee shots for National Geographic. On the front, there's a 5 MP selfie camera that should be enough for making those video calls.There's a large battery on board, and that's great, frankly speaking. The cell is rated at 5,010 mAh capacity, which should get you through the day, and there are features like Smart Manager and Battery Saver on board to help you keep the lights on longer.
Image credit – TCL Under the hood, the Midnight Blue TCL K32 5G (that's the only color it comes in) packs the Qualcomm Snapdragon 4s Gen 2 chipset. This processor was presented last summer and it's unreasonable to expect miracles out of it. Again, don't forget that we're talking about a $120 phone (that has a large display and a large battery!)There's 4 GB of RAM and 64 GB of storage available, but that can be easily expanded to up to 2 TB via a MicroSD card – something that flagships these days refuse to offer. There's also a 3.5 mm headphone jack (really useful), dual speakers, but no charging brick is included.
Android 15 is the operating system you'll use out of the box.
The TCL K32 5G is a great way to enter the smartphone 5G realm. If there's someone in your life who is still using a legacy phone, but wants to give modernity a try, $120 sounds like a reasonable price to pay for the try-out.

The smallest of small flagships, the sub-6' kind, but there is a lot of demand for 6.3' or so models with a top chipset. Unfortunately, the usual options are pretty pricey – and there are some that have very limited availability. OnePlus has a solution for the first problem, not so much for the second one. The OnePlus 13s debuts exclusively for India – it's a 6.32' phone powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite. It's only 71.7mm wide, 8.15mm thick and weighs 185g. That's lighter than the Pixel 9 Pro or iPhone 16 Pro, but with a much larger battery. Besides its size, the 13s stands out with its flagship chipset. The 8 Elite is paired with 12GB of LPDDR5X RAM and 256GB or 512GB of UFS 4.0 storage. The chip is cooled by a 4,400mm² vapor chamber and a clever innovation – the first cooling layer on the back panel to help the phone expel heat faster. The 13s runs OxygenOS 15 (Android 15) out of the box. We mentioned the battery – it has a whopping 5,850mAh capacity. Not only is this great for a mini, it's great overall. A Galaxy S25 Ultra has a 5,000mAh battery, for example, an iPhone 16 Pro Max has only 4,685mAh. The phone supports 80W SuperVOOC charging (faster than any Galaxy, Pixel or iPhone) and has Bypass Charging (i.e. running directly off wall power). OnePlus says that the 13s can spend just over 7 hours of playing BGMI on a single charge without going below 120fps or needing external power. The display is a 6.32' LTPO OLED panel with 1,216 x 2,640px resolution. It has a variable refresh rate from 1Hz to 120Hz and renders 10-bit colors and Dolby Vision support. The high brightness mode reaches 1,600 nits and it can go down to just 1.1 nit. Brightness is controlled via high-frequency 2,160Hz PWM. OnePlus only had room for two rear cameras. The first one is the 50MP main with a 1/1.56' Sony LYT-700 sensor (1.0µm pixels) and an f/1.8 lens with OIS. The second module is a 2x telephoto with a 50MP Samsung JN5 sensor (0.64µm pixels) and an f/2.0 lens (note: this one only has electronic stabilization). Check out our first camera samples here. Either camera can record 4K video at 60fps with Dolby Vision HDR. The front camera uses a 32MP sensor (1/3.1', 0.7µm pixels) with a wide 21mm 90° lens – this f/2.0 lens has autofocus, by the way, which is rare even among pricey flagships. Video recording from this camera tops out at 4K at 30fps. The OnePlus 13s is equipped with an omnidirectional 11-antenna setup. It also features the G1 Wi-Fi enhancement chip, which promises to keep local network connections stable. As you may have heard, OnePlus is axing the Alert Slider. Its replacement is the new Plus Button, which makes its debut on the OnePlus 13s – well, its debut outside of China. If you haven't caught on by now, this is the local version of the OnePlus 13T. The Plus Button is customizable and can be set to change the sound profile or enable DND mode. You can save content into Mind Space with the push of the button or a three finger swipe – Mind Space allows for quick search through and summarize everything you have saved. The button can also launch Plus Mind, OnePlus' new AI assistant. For example, it can detect a calendar event on screen and add it to your calendar at your request. The new OnePlus AI features Other notable connectivity features include support for India's 5.5G networks, Wi-Fi 7 support (be, 2.4GHz and 5GHz), Bluetooth 6.0 (aptX HD, LDAC, LHDC 5.0), as well as NFC. There's an infrared blaster for remote control functionality too. Here's some more AI – wait, this actually sounds useful! AI VoiceScribe can record, summarize and translate audio from calls, meetings and videos, even within third-party apps. This includes YouTube, Zoom, WhatsApp, Telegram, Snapchat and more. Real-time translations are shown as subtitles on the screen, transcriptions and summarizations go into the Notes app. This is great for getting the gist from video calls for work or for summarizing long lectures. Similarly, the OnePlus Dialer offers real-time translation and summarization for calls. OnePlus 13s in Green Silk, Pink Satin and Black Velvet The 13s is available in three colors, starting with Green Silk. OnePlus says this is exclusive for India – wasn't the 13s India-only, anyway? It has a soft-touch Velvet Glass finish on the back and the hue has been inspired by olives. Pink Satin also uses Velvet glass, a kind of nano-texture. The third option is Black Velvet, which goes for a metallic sand finish instead. Pricing and availability information will be announced shortly.
