She was taken in at 8:30 am and she came out of the OT at 11:30 pm. I then met her when they shifted her to the ICU. At 6-7 pm, we all panicked as there was no update from the OT as we had never witnessed such a serious surgery. Thankfully, the doctor had assured me that if they don't come out for updates, then the surgery is going fine and she will be all well. " Shoaib mentioned about how Dipika also had a stone in her gallbladder which got removed during the surgery, "The doctors even removed Dipika's gallbladder as they detected stone and they had to cut a small portion of the liver as the tumor was cancerous. The doctors mentioned that the liver is a self-restorative organ so it shall heal itself with time. So it is not something to be stressed about but we have to stay cautious and take good care. Sidhu Moosewala's father writes to Mumbai Police to stop the proposed screening of a documentary about his son on June 11

Bathinda: The father of slain Punjabi rapper Sidhu Moosewala has called on Mumbai Police to block the public screening of a BBC documentary about his son's murder, alleging it could compromise the ongoing trial and infringe upon the family's rights. Balkaur Singh, father of the late artist — whose real name was Shubhdeep Singh Sidhu — has filed formal complaints with the Mumbai Police commissioner and Juhu police station, urging authorities to stop the screening scheduled for June 11 at Soho House, Juhu. The event, organised by the BBC World Service, is being advertised as an "investigative documentary" that claims to reveal hidden details about Moosewala's killing. Moosewala's father has also expressed concern that the film includes "unauthorised and unpublished" material, including private testimonies and sensitive information related to his son's life and death. He writes in his complaint that the documentary uses Moosewala's name, image and personal history without family consent, and could prejudice the ongoing murder trial. "The screening could misrepresent and exploit my son's story, interfere with judicial proceedings, and provoke public unrest due to the sensitive subject matter," Balkaur Singh wrote, warning the public that the film might violate Indian legal protections on privacy, defamation, and posthumous dignity. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like Discover Effortless Glucose Monitoring: Request a Free Trial Dexcom Click Here Undo Enclosing a copy of the invitation, Balkaur Singh said the screening was set to run from 3 to 6 pm on June 11, and called for police intervention, including the deployment of officers at the venue and the issuance of prohibitory orders under relevant sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) or other applicable laws. He also claimed to be preparing civil and legal action against the film's producers and organisers. However, he emphasised that immediate steps were needed to "safeguard the dignity and legacy" of his late son and prevent the circulation of "unlawful or defamatory content." Sidhu Moosewala was shot during May 2022 in Punjab's Mansa district. His killing triggered public outrage and remains the subject of a high-profile criminal investigation. MSID:: 121696740 413 |

Bengaluru airport, Museum of Art & Photography team up to transform Terminal 2 into cultural hub

Bengaluru: Kempegowda International Airport (KIA) has partnered with the Museum of Art & Photography (MAP) to transform Terminal 2 (T2) into a dynamic cultural destination. The collaboration aims to offer passengers an immersive experience of South Asian art and heritage, seamlessly integrated into their travel journey. T2, already known for its strong artistic identity with over 210 curated artworks by more than 60 artists, now expands its cultural footprint through a series of interactive digital installations. At the domestic terminal, travellers can access a digital art archive through MAP's Gallery on Demand. It features works by celebrated artists such as Jamini Roy, Jangarh Singh Shyam, Jyoti Bhatt, Suresh Punjabi, and LN Tallur. The platform also includes compelling narratives built around Bollywood and short films that provide intimate glimpses into the lives of the featured artists. Interactive puzzles based on iconic artworks like Universe by SH Raza and The Lotus Sellers by NS Bendre make art appreciation playful and engaging, while a digital lamp lighting experience offers travellers a meaningful pause. The Cumulus system allows passengers to explore MAP's digitised collection in detail, enabling search, zoom, and personal curation. At the international terminal, the partnership is marked by an exhibition titled 'Bhuri Bai: My Life as an Artist', spotlighting the life and works of Padma Shri Bhuri Bai. Commissioned by MAP, the exhibition features autobiographical pieces, early works from the 1980s, and large-scale recent creations, providing a compelling narrative of her journey as a contemporary artist. Hari Marar, MD and CEO of Bangalore International Airport Ltd (BIAL), said: "Our collaboration with MAP aims to transform T2 into a vibrant hub of discovery and engagement. By bringing art into the passenger journey in such an accessible and interactive way, we hope to offer travellers moments of pause, inspiration, and reflection." Abhishek Poddar, founder of MAP, added that the partnership underscores the museum's belief in the transformative power of art. "With this unique partnership with BIAL, MAP hopes to take art appreciation and awareness to a wider audience, thereby creating a new wave of interest and engagement in South Asian art and culture," he said.
