Andy Carroll breaks silence on Lou Teasdale row as he shares huge relationship update

It's been a rollercoaster of a relationship for former England star Andy Carroll and celebrity hair stylist Lou Teasedale, with the pair now hoping to move forward together Andy Carroll and Lou Teasedale are working on their relationship after a series of booze-fuelled rows caused them to reportedly split up. Former Premier League star Andy, 36, was said to have been desperate to make amends with mum-of-one Lou, after he was allegedly questioned by police during a trip to Greek party island Mykonos. ‌ The final straw for Lou, 41, was said to have taken place during this year's Glastonbury in June, which saw yet another bust-up between the pair. They had gone to Worthy Farm for a weekend away and to celebrate their one-year anniversary after meeting at the festival the year before. ‌ But Lou left the festival early, leaving former Liverpool striker Andy there alone. It was also rumoured that Andy had initiated the break-up, but it emerged earlier in the week that it was actually Lou who called time on their romance. It comes after Andy Carroll 'splits from Lou Teasdale due to her demands' weeks after public row. ‌ However, the pair appear to have turned it around and are making an effort to patch up their rocky relationship with the hope of moving forward together. Andy has admitted he's been going through a tough time, with his divorce from TOWIE star Billi Mucklow causing him stress, but he loves Lou and her family. Speaking to the Sun, Andy revealed: "Some of our rows have been about alcohol, as Lou has been teetotal for 14 years and I have a beer or wine at dinner and a drink after the game, but it's not a problem in my life. 'I'm a professional footballer and that's not the case. I play sports every single day, so my level of fitness is really good. I play football every day, so I'm fit.' Andy also addressed an incident in which he and Lou were reported to have argued at a Mykonos restaurant, resulting in police arriving to question the star. He insisted it had nothing to do with alcohol and that the pair were actually arguing about him "having three coffees in the morning." ‌ The footballer, who has recently signed for Dagenham & Redbridge FC, said that Lou was concerned he had a caffeine addiction. A joint statement from them at the time said: 'Whilst having a private dinner in a restaurant on a quiet holiday in Mykonos, we had a heated discussion of the sort that most couples have had on occasion. 'It quickly became apparent to the police that there was no reason for them to be there.' It added: 'As far as we are concerned, the situation has been blown out of all proportion by an interested member of the public. 'No one was arrested, and no one was charged with anything. We are very happy, in love and looking forward to our future together, and we are disappointed that a private disagreement has become a public matter.' ‌ The incident, in a packed restaurant, was witnessed by staff and members of the public. One worker at the Nikolus Tavern said of the first argument: 'We recognised him as the footballer Andy Carroll immediately. He seemed very drunk and furious with his partner. He was using very bad words. It was improper behaviour. The woman looked very upset.' The Sun reported that a source said: "After the restaurant episode, there was another incident at the hotel. This time, the footballer went to the police station. We know the woman stayed somewhere else that night.' Meanwhile, a British holidaymaker who reportedly spotted the pair while out for a stroll accused Andy of being "very drunk" adding that he shouted at Lou: "I'm done with us!"

A beloved soap is 'returning to screens' after 22 years off air as show is set to make a historic crossover with Hollyoaks

A beloved soap is reportedly returning to screens after 22 years off air as it is set to make a historic crossover with Hollyoaks. Hollyoaks celebrates its 30th anniversary in October, and to make the milestone Brookside will be returning too, according to The Sun. The iconic Liverpool-based soap will be streamed in a special Hollyoaks episode that will honour the predecessor. The soap, set in Liverpool, chronicled the lives of characters living in 13 houses on a cul-de-sac called Brookside Close. Hollyoaks took over as Channel 4 's flagship continuing drama when the Liverpool based soap ended on November 4th 2003. And as part of the exciting crossover, fans will see Brookside characters make a return as a treat to mark the milestone. Executive Producer Hannah Cheers told the publication: 'This episode is a love letter to both Hollyoaks and Brookside. 'Brookside gave birth to Hollyoaks — it grew up on the same site and eventually took over its sets. 'For everyone at Lime Pictures (originally Mersey TV), Hollyoaks' history is deeply rooted in Brookside, and its legacy lives on through our crew and, of course, some of our cast.' Brookside originally aired on the first day that Channel 4 was broadcast on November 2 in 1982 and proved an instant hit with viewers. Fan favourites included Bobby and Sheila and Grant, played by Ricky Tomlinson and Sue Johnston. The show launched the careers of many industry heavyweights including Anna Friel, Amanda Burton and Claire Sweeney. At its peak, the show drew in audiences of nine million viewers before it came to a close on November 4 2003. Across its run, the show took on issues such as LGBT+ and hard hitting storylines like rape, bullying and incest. In 1985, teenage character Gordon Collins came out to his family as gay on the soap. The character, played by both Mark Burgess and Nigel Crowley, became the first ever openly gay character in a British TV series when the episode aired. Brookside also had the first pre-watershed lesbian kiss in British history between characters Beth Jordache, played by Anna Friel, and Margaret Clemence, who was portrayed by future Emmerdale actress Nicola Stephenson. Anna's career has taken her to America where she has appeared in the comedy series Pushing Daisies, opposite Susan Sarandon in country music drama Monarch and alongside Bradley Cooper in the film Limitless. Silent Witness actress Amanda, Hollyoaks actress Alex Fletcher, and West End musical star Claire Sweeney also began their careers on the soap.

Mohamed Salah's behind the scenes behaviour caught Liverpool signing off guard

Mohamed Salah has continued on from where he left off last season for Liverpool, which will come as no surprise to those who know the intense training regime he subjects himself to Alexis Mac Allister has confessed nobody at Liverpool comes close to challenging Mohamed Salah's commitment levels. Salah, 33, got off the mark for the new Premier League season by slotting home the fourth goal in the Reds' thrilling 4-2 triumph over Bournemouth at Anfield. ‌ Whilst attention was focused on fresh faces like Florian Wirtz and Hugo Ekitike, the Egyptian King demonstrated he remains a prolific source of goals. His strike against the Cherries made him the first player in Premier League history to net 10 opening-day goals. ‌ It was also his 187th goal in the division, which saw him move level with Manchester United legend Andy Cole. If anyone wasn't shocked by Salah's goal, it was Mac Allister. ‌ The Argentine recently shed light on the relentless effort Salah puts in away from the spotlight to guarantee he's primed to find the net for Liverpool. Despite being seven years younger, the World Cup winner confessed he couldn't match up to the Reds icon despite trying to upon his arrival as a new signing in 2023. Speaking to the Player's Tribune, the midfielder revealed: "Mo, he's hilarious. For a few weeks, I actually tried to get to the gym before him, but it was impossible. He was always there already, sweating. "One day, I asked him, 'But Mo... when do you sleep?' He said, 'I don't like it when I get more than seven hours. I feel tired.' [I replied], 'You feel tired?' [And he said], 'Yeah, it's too much. You only need six-and-a-half.' "He would be in the gym for an hour, and someone would say, 'Mo, are you finished? Let's go eat.' [He would say], 'No, no. I just did my abs. Now I have to really work out.'" Mac Allister's remarks underscore Salah's tremendous commitment to sustaining his remarkably elevated performance levels. It also shows, despite reaching 33 years of age, he could feasibly continue competing at the elite level for several more seasons given how meticulously he has maintained his physique. ‌ Providing additional perspective on Salah's conditioning, Mac Allister revealed he once attempted to match the striker's core workout regime. He added: "When I first arrived, I tried to compete with him. I thought, 'OK, the guy is 31. I'm 24. Let's do some abs.' "Damn, I think I did three sessions with Mo before I gave up. I would wake up the next morning, and I was so sore I could barely sit up in bed. Mo sets the tone for everyone at Liverpool. He is the best professional I've ever seen. He's a monster." ‌ During the previous campaign, Salah registered 34 goals and 23 assists across all tournaments, driving Arne Slot's Premier League triumph. His strike against Bournemouth also meant he is just 21 strikes behind Wayne Rooney's record of 208. He will be looking to build on his goal-scoring start to the season when the Reds travel to face Newcastle a week on Monday, before hosting Arsenal the following Sunday.
