Scarlett Johansson Talks About Her Impostor Syndrome on Set
Despite her long career in Hollywood, Scarlett Johansson struggles with anxiety and impostor syndrome every time she takes on a new role. In a recent interview with South Korean network tvN, the actress opened up about her experience with impostor syndrome, describing how it continues to affect her on set.
'I am anxious about everything,' Johansson began, before turning the question around on her interviewers, 'Aren't you? There are so many things to be anxious about.' She went on to explain that the start of each new role brings anxiety. The actress explained, 'Every time I start a job, I don't know why I get anxious. Like I don't know.'
Discussing her recent experience filming Jurassic World: Rebirth, Johansson shared that the initial days on set were difficult. 'For the first two weeks of the movie, I had like an existential crisis. I didn't know if I was the right person for the job. I didn't know if what I was doing was consistent.'
The actress attributed this anxiety to the unfamiliarity with the character she is meant to play. She said, 'I think part of it is that you don't really know the character yet. And that's where the anxiety comes from.'
However, Johansson noted that as filming progresses, those feelings usually shift. She explained, 'And then you know, as you re-shooting, like that kind of melts away. Because you know more, kind of what you are doing.'
Johansson plays Zora Bennett in Jurassic World Rebirth, a mercenary sent on a secret mission to find dinosaur DNA. She's joined by Dr. Henry Loomis, a paleontologist, and Duncan Kincaid as they face a risky journey.

Who's up for the return of Thanos? Josh Brolin certainly is. After playing the character in Guardians of the Galaxy and the recent Avengers movies, including the 2018 film Avengers: Infinity War and Avengers: Endgame (2019), it marked the end of Thanos' run as the central antagonist. While it's unlikely, we've certainly seen stranger things happen than Thanos finding his way back for another go-round. If that were to pan out, Brolin left no doubt that he'd be there. For Brolin, though, he seems to have loved playing Thanos as much as fans appreciated him in the role. Brolin joined Josh Horowitz on the Happy Sad Confused podcast and when the topic came up, he said candidly that if he got the call for Avengers: Doomsday or Secret Wars, he'd "be there tomorrow." "That was one movie and I've said Thanos thing, if they called me in London right now and said let's do this, I'd be like, 'I'll be there tomorrow,'" Brolin stated. Horowitz stated that although Thanos ended on such a great note, Brolin seems to have confidence in the Russo brothers, Anthony and Joe, to hypothetically come up with something that makes sense if he were to ever return. "Of course they're going to come up with something really fun, I mean who knows?" Brolin replied. "...I don't know what they're going to do, but I'm sure it'll be interesting. I think they do that very, very, very well. Although Brolin doesn't sound as though he expects to get the call about bringing Thanos back, he certainly made it known that if the opportunity presented itself, he'd happily return. "[I] talk to Downey probably 4-6 times a year, I talk to the Russos probably 4-6 times a week," Brolin said. "I mean, I talk to Joe a lot...I love them, I love both of them, I think they're amazing." It's hard not to appreciate Brolin's love of his character in the Marvel universe, and fortunately, he's remained plenty busy since Avengers: Endgame. Most recently, Brolin starred alongside Julia Garner in Weapons, which is now officially in theaters. 'The Batman Part 2' Reportedly Features Robin's Return to the Big Screen
Since the script for The Batman Part 2 was finalized by Matt Reeves and co-writer Mattson Tomlin, the wheels have started turning on the highly anticipated sequel. While there are many questions still to be answered, the follow-up to Robert Pattinson's Batman debut did receive an update on filming. It also reportedly features the return of a character fans haven't seen on the bring screen alongside Batman since 1997—Robin. 'The Batman Part 2' Script Reportedly Includes Robin, per Insider Longtime entertainment insider Jeff Sneider dropped a few tidbits in his latest report on The Batman Part 2. Along with reporting that a source said the script from Reeves and Tomlin was "worth the wait," he said it was described as a"big swing" for the duo. Considering that comment, it makes Sneider's report that Robin is in The Batman Part 2 script even more noteworthy. Per Sneider: "I sat down with a well-placed source this week and asked about The Batman sequel, and this person told me that the script was 'worth the wait," Sneider wrote. "They described it as a 'big swing' for director Matt Reeves and his co-writer, Mattson Tomlin, and said that the duo is 'really going for it' with the uncompromising sequel..." "They also mentioned that the character of Robin is part of the script, which should pique the interest of agents across Hollywood," he added. Robin hasn't been featured on the big screen in a non-animated Batman film since 1997's Batman & Robin, which featured George Clooney as Bruce Wayne and Chris O'Donnell in the role of Robin. Although no other Batman film has opted to go the route of bringing Robin into the mix, it'd be a big move by Reeves, and one that would almost certainly be well-received. Update on 'The Batman Part 2' Filming Timeline While it's been a long time coming, The Batman Part 2 also received an update on filming. Warner Bros. Discovery CEO David Zaslav broke the news on an earnings call that filming will begin in spring 2026, as ScreenRant revealed. "...'The Batman II' (2027) is preparing to begin shooting next spring, among several other projects in development. The 10-year vision for the DC universe also includes an exciting array of television projects, including 'The Penguin,' the upcoming new season of 'Peacemaker,' and the debut of 'Lanterns' in 2026," Zaslav said. The Superman director and co-CEO of DC Studios responded to the latest report that surfaced surrounding the upcoming film, The Batman Part II. After longtime entertainment insider Jeff Sneider dropped a few tidbits relating to the Matt Reeves-directed movie, specifically citing that Robin was in the initial script, Gunn had a response on social media. While fans obviously won't know for certain if Robin actually is in the movie until a good bit down the line, Gunn's comeback seemingly shuts it down, unless DC is attempting to hold off on the news for any reason. 'The Batman Part II' Filming Timeline Revealed On a major positive note for Batman fans and DC fans as a whole, the ball is now officially rolling on The Batman Part II. This includes news of when the movie will begin production, which Warner Bros. Discovery CEO David Zaslav revealed on an earnings call, as ScreenRant revealed. "...'The Batman II' (2027) is preparing to begin shooting next spring, among several other projects in development. The 10-year vision for the DC universe also includes an exciting array of television projects, including 'The Penguin,' the upcoming new season of 'Peacemaker,' and the debut of 'Lanterns' in 2026," Zaslav said.
