The post Nuggets' Nikola Jokic makes final decision on EuroBasket 2025 participation appeared first on ClutchPoints.
In what is set to make the upcoming EuroBasket 2025 a star-studded event, the Denver Nuggets' Nikola Jokic became the latest NBA superstar to commit to the tournament. The three-time MVP and 2023 NBA Champion was announced as part of Serbia's 17-man preliminary roster alongside multiple NBA stars.
Marc Stein of The Stein Line reported that Jokic joins a roster filled with stars such as Nikola Topic, Bogdan Bogdanovic and Nikola Jovic, alongside EuroLeague sensation Vasilihie Micic, and is now set to take part in the tournament which tips off later this month, on August 27. Jokic will play under head coach Svetislav Pesic, and will be seen alongside the likes of Giannis Antetokounmpo and Luka Doncic. The former also recently confirmed his decision to play in the tournament.
The tournament is set to be hosted across Cyprus, Finland, Poland and Latvia, with Serbia set to compete in a challenging Group A which includes the likes of Estonia, Latvia, Turkiye, Czech Republic, and Portugal. Serbia will tip off its campaign with two warm-up events.
The first will feature Greece in Israelm with the three teams set to play multiple games in Cyrpus on August 9 and 10. Further, Serbia will then participate in a mini-tournament in Munich from August 15-16 where they will face off against Czech Republic and the winners of the game between Germany and Turkey.
The final warm-up game will be played against Slovenia on August 21 at the Belgrade Arena and will potentially pit Jokic against Luka Doncic. Giannis Antetokounmpo, the Milwaukee Bucks' two-time MVP, has also declared his intent to play for Greece.
The Greece roster also included the likes of Kostas Sloukas and Tyler Dorsey, with both Nick Calathes and Thanasis Antetokounmpo set to miss the tournament. Jokic's inclusion undoubtedly elevates an already NBA-rich roster into one of the leading contenders in the tournament.

LeBron James' fiery Instagram post includes Clippers twist

LeBron James got a few things off his chest in a new Instagram post on Thursday. The Lakers superstar, who's been at the center of trade rumors this offseason, cautioned to appreciate him while he's still playing. It included a snapshot of him working out in front of a Clippers sign, which raised some eyebrows from fans. Advertisement 'Say whatever you want but you damn sure won't be able to say I didn't put in the WORK!! 👑 ,' James, 40, wrote. 'We'll see what happens when I no longer exist. Man F this Shhhhhh.' Instagram/LeBron James Klutch Sports Group, the agency that manages James, confirmed to USA Today that the photo was taken at their offices in Playa Vista, located in the old Clippers practice facility. It comes after James was seen working out at the Cleveland Cavaliers practice facility earlier this summer. James responded to the buzz earlier this month, writing on X, 'I live here still and train every summer.' Advertisement James, who will turn 41 in December, is rumored to want out of the Lakers after his agent, Rich Paul, released a statement regarding the 21-time All-Star accepting his $52.6 million player option. James, who is entering his 23rd season, has a no-trade clause in his contract. The NBA's all-time leading scorer doesn't seem phased by the buzz, as Paul advised him to enjoy his summer. James was spotted partying in the South of France last week with his wife, Savannah James, and his business partner, Maverick Carter. 'He knows the Lakers are building for the future. He understands that, but he values a realistic chance of winning it all. We are very appreciative of the partnership that we've had for eight years with Jeanie [Buss] and Rob [Pelinka] and consider the Lakers as a critical part of his career. 'We understand the difficulty in winning now while preparing for the future. We do want to evaluate what's best for LeBron at this stage in his life and career. He wants to make every season he has left count, and the Lakers understand that, are supportive and want what's best for him.'

Are we all guilty of exaggerating how bad the Boston Celtics will be next season?

Are we all guilty of exaggerating how bad the Boston Celtics will be next season? Not everyone thinks that the Celtics will be an awful ball club in the NBA's 2025-26 regular season despite trading away Kristaps Porzingis and Jrue Holiday, and letting Luke Kornet and Al Horford walk in free agency. It is fair to say that the incoming players via signings (Luka Garza and Josh Minott), trades (Georges Niang and Anfernee Simons), and the 2025 NBA Draft (Hugo Gonzalez, Amari Williams, and Max Shulga) will provide new opportunities for Boston in terms of their style of play, and it looks like Neemias Queta, Baylor Scheierman and Jordan Walsh could be ready to take a step forward. Did we mention that Jaylen Brown, Derrick White, Sam Hauser, and Payton Pritchard are still on the team? The folks behind the "Backyard Buckets" YouTube channel put together a clip imploring us to stop sleeping on the Celtics for the season ahead. Check it out below to hear their case! Bronny James reveals aftermath of cardiac arrest: 'Messed with my immune system'

Just over two years ago, Bronny James suffered a cardiac arrest while practicing at USC. He returned to the court about five months later and managed to get selected 55th overall by the Los Angeles Lakers last summer and got some time on the NBA floor. However, even though it's a couple of years removed from the situation, the 20-year-old still has some lingering effects. "I get kind of sick easier now. Which is kind of weird, but I think it messed with my immune system a little bit. So, I would have times where I have to sit out, and that conditioning that I'm working on just goes away in that week of me being out," James told ESPN recently. James proved he was not ready for the NBA this past season, averaging 2.3 points on 31.3% shooting in 27 games. However, in the G-League, he put up 21.9 points on 44.3% shooting, which was a far cry from the 4.8 points per game he averaged in his lone season at USC. However, head coach JJ Redick thinks that if he continues to work on his conditioning, he's "got a chance to be a really fantastic player in the NBA." "With the defensive pickup points, the disruption, being able to get downhill … I think we have all seen these amazing flashes of it from Bronny. And to get to that next level for him, it's cardio fitness…" Redick told the outlet. "I get that there's a history there of a really scary thing that he had to live through, and I think it's tough to push past certain points for him, but he's going to get there. He's going to get there." During the summer league this year, James averaged 14.3 points, 3.8 assists, and 2.8 rebounds per game.
