Matcha Is One of The World's Trendiest Drinks. Here's Where to Get It in Seattle.
Here's a short list of some of the best places to get matcha in the Seattle area (plus one in Tacoma). These spots specialize in matcha and pair it with flavors ranging from ube and pandan to marshmallow and lavender; many source matcha directly from Japan.
This spot in Belltown sources matcha from Japan for its signature lattes and handcrafted drinks. It also serves hojicha, a low-caffeine tea varietal with a nutty and chocolatey flavor profile. Adjust your drink by adding sweetener or a cream top, changing your matcha strength, or adjusting your sweetness level. You can also get pastries and light bites like caneles and Japanese egg sandwiches.

The inside of Atuela. Atuela
With locations in Phinney Ridge and Capitol Hill, this boba shop's interior is just as eye-catching as its drinks. Its matcha is sourced from Shizuoka, Japan, and it's available with ube, banana milk, black sesame, and white mocha. The most popular drink is the strawberry matcha made with housemade strawberry puree; non-matcha drinkers can enjoy iced or hot tea like brown rice gyokuro, grape oolong, and peach ginger.

Drinks at Matcha Magic Aleenah Ansari
Matcha Magic has a popular matcha cafe in Bellevue, recently opened a second location in Redmond, and is now expanding to Seattle with locations coming to Capitol Hill (open August 10), and South Lake Union (late September). Many of its drinks are 'potions,' lattes made with boosters and adaptogens with purported health benefits like ashwagandha, blue spirulina, collagen, and reishi. Crowd favorites include the Toasted Matchamallow Latte and Matcha Horchata. All the matcha is sourced from a single family farm in Shizuoka. You can also try one of the signature smoothies or get a loaded toast or acai bowl. Five percent of sales go to Ladies Who Launch, a nonprofit committed to bridging the equity gap for women and non-binary entrepreneurs.

Matcha at Yoka. Yoka
Yoka started as a boba pop-up, but with the recent opening of its permanent location in Madrona, it has expanded to become a specialty cafe offering a range of matcha and coffee drinks. Some of the matcha items are inspired by the co-owners' Filipino and Korean heritage, including the Turon Matcha, which is made with a roasted banana puree. Yoka also offers classic combinations like the Strawberry Matcha made with strawberry compote, or a 'Matcha Matcha,' which is matcha served with matcha creme. You can check out the mini food and lifestyle market by Anyoung Super in the space, which includes products from many Asian-owned small businesses, or join the run club.
1101 34th Avenue, in Madrona
Jin Jin Matcha works with tea farmers in Shizuoka to source its matcha, which is hand-whisked for hot or iced drinks. Its creative lattes include flavors like black sesame, lavender, butterfly pea flower, and strawberry (you can also get something simpler like a traditional or sparkling matcha). The shop's first location is in Tacoma, but Seattleites will soon be able to venture to Downtown Seattle to visit the forthcoming second location. You can also try your luck at getting a ceremonial matcha tin, which is available in limited quantities.
1019 Pacific Avenue, in Tacoma
You can't get matcha at Phe, but this is what it would look like. Phe
This new cafe on Capitol Hill was started by sisters who loved matcha and coffee and wanted to share their love of these drinks with the world. Although known for their matcha drinks, as of July Phe is currently out of matcha due to that pesky global shortage. Other popular drinks include the Hojicha Latte Einspainer, which is made with a sweet cream foam, as well as the Phe Me, a black sesame coffee. The latest addition to the menu is the Phe Keo, which is made with phin-brewed coffee, caramel milk, and cold foam, and topped with a honeycomb toffee. If you're hungry, there's also a selection of food including banh mis, egg rolls, pho, and more. Check Phe's Instagram for updates on matcha availability.
721 Pine Street, on Capitol Hill
Matcha at Aroom. Aroom
This Vietnamese coffee shop in Fremont has a small but mighty menu of matcha drinks, including flavors like sesame, pandan, and matcha. Enjoy your drinks with a pastry like a cornetto, scone, or castella. You can also try the house cake, which has the texture of a pancake or sponge cake with the option of a cheese or pate and pork floss filling.

17 Must-Have Products For Sweat-Free Sleep
Some transparent weather stripping tape to seal up gaps between your AC unit and window. If your AC has made quite a few moves or you have wonky window frames, you know how tough it can be to get the right fit. A set of Bedsure cooling sheets so you can comfortably sleep through the night and not flip and flop around like a hot dog on a damn grill. And a Rest Evercool Cooling Comforter with temperature-regulating, moisture-wicking fabric so you don't have to rip apart your bed in an attempt to get quality sleep. The brand's proprietary fabric has a "feel temperature" (aka a Qmax Score) much lower than cotton, bamboo, silk, and lyocell! A pair of *affordable* down-alternative cooling pillows if even your A/C — set to a crisp 68 degrees — is no match for your night sweats. Some magnetic air vent deflectors so you can redirect airflow toward the center of your room because right now it's seemingly going right through the wall??? A therapeutic cold cap tons of reviewers swear by not only for alleviating intense headache, sinus, and eye pain, but also for deeper sleep on hot summer nights. Pop this in the freezer, throw it on before you go to bed, and you might just be able to get away without your AC running through the night. A breathable Cool+ throw from Coop if you're the type of person who LOVES being under a blanket 24/7 despite your body's inclination to overheat. A pack of clinical-strength SweatBlock wipes that can stop hyperhidrosis, nervous sweating, and hormonal sweating right in its tracks. The effect lasts a full week, so give your pits a good wipe down after your Sunday everything shower, and enjoy a full seven days of sweat-free sleep. A Dyson dual air purifier and fan that'll not only blast you with icy cold air, but also capture 99.97% of particles 0.3 microns in size, including pollen, bacteria, and pet dander. Seasonal allergies + wildfire smoke + 90-degree days definitely call for this baby. A set of Japanese-engineered cooling pillowcases with fibers designed to absorb your body heat as you sleep. How cool is that?! A pair of washable (!) silk PJs from Lunya and before you come for me in the comments — yes, I know they are a SPLURGE, but a good night of sleep is priceless. 💸💸💸 A Sheex x Brrr° silky sleep mask that cools your noggin and encourages quality sleep with what the brand calls the Triple Chill Effect — a quick-drying, sweat-wicking, mineral-infused fabric that blocks out light and can even help relieve tension headaches. A BedJet cooling and warming system, which makes it possible to regulate your nighttime temperature so you can stop waking up with a sweat outline showing you sleep in mountain climber position. A cooling body spray made with ingredients you can 100% pronounce! (Pure essential oils, water, and witch hazel.) Spritz it on before bed and it'll help ya cool off before you start spraying sweat like you're in a Cathy comic. A set of blackout curtains that not only block out light, but heat, too! That way, you don't wake up feeling like you're a wheel of brie being baked at 350 degrees. Or a set of motorized shades which offer a different look, but will work much the same. Plus, they can block out light with the push of a button or a simple Alexa voice request. A temperature-regulating 100% cotton blanket if you simply *cannot* sleep when exposed to the elements (read: monsters and shadowy figures), but will also sweat up a storm with your regular ol' comforter.

Forget the gym — this 10-minute mobility routine boosts your flexibility and improves your posture without equipment
When you buy through links on our articles, Future and its syndication partners may earn a commission. Everyone can benefit from doing more mobility work, and it doesn't have to take a lot of time to achieve the results you want. This 10-minute mobility routine from fitness trainer Fraser Wilson doesn't require any equipment, so it's easy to fit into your routine, and if you do it two or three times a week, it will quickly help to improve your posture and flexibility. If you want to roll out one of the best yoga mats to make floor exercises more comfortable, then go ahead, but otherwise, you don't need anything for this stretching session aside from a bit of space. Watch Fraser Wilson's 10-minute mobility routine There are 14 stretches in the routine and Wilson performs the whole thing in the video, so you can follow along to make sure you're getting into the right position and holding each pose for the correct length of time. The routine stretches the whole body and while that makes it a very time-efficient session to add to your weekly schedule, if you do have areas of the body that need more attention, then it might be worth also doing some more specific stretches for them — if it's your hips in particular that are tight, try these five moves to help unlock them. This mobility routine will benefit everyone, and is especially good for those doing regular workouts at the gym and taxing their muscles. Doing it after a training session will speed up your recovery from the workout and hopefully reduce the risk of experiencing any delayed-onset muscle soreness (DOMS). It's also a great way to relax the body after a tough workout, with the slow stretches helping to ease you off after your training, while also benefiting the muscles. For improving your mobility, it'll take some time for that benefit to appear — years of tightness don't disappear overnight after just one session. However, if you stick to doing this routine (or ones like it) several times a week, you will begin to notice improvements in your mobility. Consistency really is key. Stay consistent, and the benefits will shine through during your training, where you'll have more range and flexibility during strength workouts, and in general life, where you'll have more functional fitness thanks to increased mobility. If you're experienced with yoga, you'll be familiar with some of the moves in Wilson's video, and if you'd prefer to do a full yoga routine, try this 15-minute mobility session from a personal trainer to bulletproof your body.
