Bayer Leverkusen join race for Danish talent Victor Froholdt
Recently linked with Borussia Dortmund, Danish international Victor Froholdt is reportedly in the sights of two other Bundesliga clubs. Kicker reports that both Bayer Leverkusen and Eintracht Frankfurt are in the mix. Sky, as relayed by Kicker, also claims that Tottenham Hotspur possess interest in the 19-year-old.
The FC Copenhagen professional has plenty of options to entertain. In the case of the two German clubs, Frankfurt offer a proven track record of helping young Scandinavian midfield talents develop.

Sweden's Hugo Larsson debuted as a starter for the SGE not long after his 18th birthday and is set for a big money move.Froholdt's Danish compatriot Oscar Højlund presently seeks to replicate Larsson's success.
Froholdt nevertheless could receive better playing time prospects with die Werkself should – as is rumored – a whole host of midfield starters depart. The young box-to-box midfield talent could serve as an important pillar in the rebuilding efforts of Germany's red company team.
Danish double winners Copenhagen are reported to be seeking a €10m base-transfer-fee for their teenage talent. It stands to reason that whichever club ends up winning the race for Froholdt will also have to offer up the Danish champs a generous re-sale clause.

Liverpool up their bid for Bayer Leverkusen's Florian Wirtz to £113m
Liverpool have increased their offer for Florian Wirtz to £113m in an attempt to seal a club record deal for the Bayer Leverkusen attacking midfielder. The Premier League champions had a £109m bid for the Germany international rejected last weekend but, following further talks between the two clubs, have submitted a new package that would guarantee Leverkusen £100m plus £13m in add-ons. The offer, however, still falls short of the German club's £126m valuation and Liverpool appear unwilling to meet their asking price. Negotiations will continue in an attempt to conclude what would be Liverpool's record transfer. Wirtz has made it clear he is keen to complete a move to Anfield and Liverpool are confident a deal will be struck for the coveted 22-year-old.
