We can't answer any of these questions, but we can tell you what the UK's most popular car for sale on Sun Motors is.

It is, of course, the ever-reliable Nissan Qashqai.
When it was launched, this compact crossover SUV pretty much defined the category. It's nearly 20 years old but remains as popular as ever.
You used to need a lot of cash to get a Qashqai (see what I did there?), but we'll show you how Sun Motors Finance is making it easier for everyone to buy the right car at the best price.
I've driven the Nissan Qashqai and I'll give you my honest opinion of its good points, bad points, and anything else I can remember that's relevant.

Nissan Qashqai used car review
The Nissan Qashqai may have a name that you'll struggle to spell, but its appeal isn't hard to spot.
It's a crossover SUV, which means it looks like a car that's capable of running off-road and has an elevated driving position, but in reality, it's a pretty refined and reliable city vehicle.
We're going to talk about the second-generation (and subsequent) models that launched in 2013.
With this version, Nissan ironed out all the faults and created the UK's favourite (sort of) SUV.
The Qashquai is now beloved by middle managers, school-run mums and dads, and anyone for whom a MINI was just a little bit too small.
Modern versions are bigger and look more aggressive, but, for our money, don't look as good.

Models such as this Nissan Qashqai 1.5 dCi n-tec+ SUV 5dr Diesel Manual 2WD Euro 6 can be found on Sun Motors for as little as £130 per month - it has 68K miles and is from 2015
The high-up driving position offers great visibility, and the responsive handling makes the car manoeuvrable enough to slide into that supermarket parking spot.
OK, so performance-wise it's not going to knock your socks off or make you smile too much, but it's a family car, so we never expected it would.
There have been far too many engine variations (including petrol, diesel, hybrid, and the latest e-POWER powertrain) for us to run through them all.
Reviewers seem to favour the 1.3-litre DIG-T 140 mild-hybrid petrol engine, and we won't argue.
Bad points are, as you'd expect, few and far between. The Qashqai is quite expensive as a used car, with other makes and models perhaps a little cheaper to buy, run and insure.
The Qashqai is, like lots of crossovers, a bit of a fake too. It's not really an off-roader like the Range Rover, but not many people need that sort of performance (or can afford the price).
How to check your eligibility for the Nissan Qashqai
7
Sun Motors offers a 60 seconds finance checker to check your eligibility and avoid disappointment when searching for your dream car
What's helpful is that Sun Motors offers a quick budget check so you can see your realistic borrowing limit before you browse.
Start by using our "How much can I borrow?" tool to get an instant estimate of how much you can borrow.
Are Nissan Qashqais reliable?
The Nissan Qashqai isn't quite as reliable as the bullet-proof Nissan cars of old, with the 2014-21 diesel models in particular suffering from engine and exhaust problems.
Overall, though, it's a sturdy family motor that shouldn't leave you stranded by the roadside.
Try to buy one with a full service history, ensure all recalls have been completed, and verify receipts for any work done.
How much is a Nissan Qashqai?
Nissan Qashqais start from £5,000 for a 10-year old (2015) model with over 100,000 miles on the clock. Nearly new models, including the e-POWER version, can cost over £35,000.
As a ballpark, expect to pay around £15-17,000 for a 2020 Qashqai.
It's not the cheapest car on the market, with some used models as expensive as a new Dacia Duster, for example, but it'll hold its value.
Can I get finance for a Nissan Qashqai?
Finance is a great way to buy a used Nissan Qashqai. You can spread the cost over a set period with fixed monthly payments allowing you to budget effectively.
Understanding how much you can borrow before you start searching is vital, which is why Sun Motors Finance tool gives you the power. Add some details and you'll get an accurate indication of the amount you can borrow.
When you start searching, the intelligent functionality will only display Qashquais (and other cars) that you can afford to buy.
The search takes just 60 seconds and won't affect your credit rating. If you're successful, you can get full approval for a loan on the same day.
Sun Motors Finance is suitable for those who have been denied credit elsewhere. We work with several lenders who can offer finance packages to individuals who may have been previously refused credit.
Our advice is to check out how much you can borrow before shopping for your new car (whether it's a Qashqai, convertible, VW, or van).

Is Nissan Qashqai a 4x4?
The Nissan Qashqai isn't a true 4x4 like a Land Rover or Range Rover, for example, but you can find both front-wheel drive (FWD) and four-wheel drive (AWD) models on the market.
In off-road mode, the 4x4 Qashqai will tackle difficult terrain like mud and gravel, much more confidently than the 2WD version.
Most drivers who really need 4WD performance should look elsewhere. In the end, they probably already were.

The good news is that Sun Motors offers both options, so you can choose what works best for you.

Huge blow for over 500,000 Brits being slapped with HIGHER parking fines in new trial to tackle summer ‘chaos'

The town's councillors have been lobbying for the penalties for six years TAKEN FOR A RIDE Huge blow for over 500,000 Brits being slapped with HIGHER parking fines in new trial to tackle summer 'chaos' Click to share on X/Twitter (Opens in new window) Click to share on Facebook (Opens in new window) BRITS living in a seaside town will be at risk of huge parking fines this summer. Bournemouth MPs have promised to take action against cars parked illegally following growing frustration from residents. Sign up for Scottish Sun newsletter Sign up 1 Parking in Bournemouth has been causing a huge issue for locals for years Credit: BNPS The one-month trial will run throughout August and will target motors parked on pavements, roundabouts, and driveways. Under the scheme, parking fines will be drastically increased, and the prices for clamping, towing and vehicle storage will soar to London rates. The town has a population of around 500,000, of whom the fines will affect. Tom Hayes, MP for Bournemouth East, said: 'This is something I've fought for and only Bournemouth is getting a shot at a trial. "Higher fines will help to tackle the chaos we face every summer.' Jessica Toale, MP for Bournemouth West, added: 'I've been working with the government to give BCP Council greater powers to tackle the ongoing problems of illegal parking across Bournemouth – especially in the town centre and near the beaches. 'I know it's been an issue for many residents, and while it's been good to see the council taking action against selfish and irresponsible parking, the fines were minimal. 'That changes now. Transport Minister Heidi Alexander, who I recently met with in Branksome and raised this issue with, has today given BCP Council permission to trial increased Parking Charge Notices (PCNs) this summer.' Mr Hayes added: 'The parking fine fee has been capped for 20 years and it's frustrating for everyone. "After years of being forgotten in Parliament, the government is listening. Driver gets instant karma after lobbing £50 parking ticket on the floor 'I've fought our town's corner behind-the-scenes and persuaded the government to ease the pressure on our roads this summer.' Leader of the BCP Council, Cllr Millie Earl, said that she welcomes the battle against 'irresponsible' parking. She said that the council has been pushing for this scheme for over six years. Cllr Earl said: 'Even at our busiest last weekend, there were enough parking spaces within a short walk of the seafront across our three towns and when visitors make a choice to park illegally, we know that residents, and responsible visitors, want us to take robust enforcement action. 'During our three busiest weekends of the year we have issued more than 4,000 penalty charge notices to drivers who disregard parking restrictions for the sake of a shorter stroll to the beach. 'We want to encourage and support visitors to our wonderful area but just ask them to consider the safety of others when parking; and a level of fines that reflects the true costs of patrolling and enforcing will help us to do this." This is an issue that plagues holiday hotspots across the UK across the summer months as city-dwellers head to the beach for a much-needed break. One of the most common complaints from residents in coastal towns is visitors parking across driveways, on double yellow lines, and in resident-only zones without permits. In places like Cornwall, Dorset, and parts of North Wales, local councils have reported a sharp rise in complaints and fines issued during the summer holiday period. In some towns, emergency vehicles have even struggled to get through narrow streets due to cars parked on corners and pavements. For residents, the inconvenience is more than just a nuisance—it can mean being blocked in for hours or denied access to their own homes. Many councils have stepped up enforcement in recent years, with increased patrols and mobile ANPR (automatic number plate recognition) units. However, overstretched resources and a lack of available parking alternatives mean that the problem persists.

With the Government ramping up the switch to electric vehicles by offering a new £3,750 grant, announced this week, the industry urgently needs new talent. Sign up for Scottish Sun newsletter Sign up The Institute Of The Motor Industry says the sector faces a double challenge: An exodus of experienced professionals coupled with demand for thousands of staff with future-ready skills. An estimated 144,000 workers are expected to retire by 2032 — equivalent to 19 per cent of the entire sector's workforce — and there are already 17,000 vacancies that firms are struggling to fill. Alongside this, the transition to EVs and increasingly sophisticated Advanced Driver Assistance Systems means staff need to be not just mechanically competent but digitally skilled too. Industry experts predict a shortfall of 3,000 EV-trained vehicle technicians by 2031. However, despite holding Level 2 or 3 automotive qualifications, many newly qualified students have been unable to secure a role due to a lack of work experience. To help get Britain motoring again, three big players in the sector, the School Of Thought Automotive, the Institute of the Motor Industry and Autotech Academy, have come together to launch the national Automotive Work Experience programme. For the first time, students aged 16 and under can now get proper, hands-on work experience placements through the IMI Jobs site. A spokeswoman said: 'The automotive sector must attract a new generation of talent to remain in step with technological innovation. 'Collaboration across the industry is vital to achieve this and to highlight the immense career opportunities available in automotive.' 'Perception gap' It is hoped that the work experience programme will also tackle misconceptions about the sector. Japanese giant unveils its new bargain EV with quirky 'bug eye' headlights A recent BBC Bitesize survey found the automotive industry didn't feature in the top career aspirations for 13 to 16-year-olds — yet Tesla ranked as the eighth most desirable company to work for globally. A spokeswoman added: 'This disconnect highlights a serious perception gap. Young people still see automotive as a 'dirty trade' when, in reality, it's one of the most tech-driven, innovative industries out there.' The scheme's backers are also appealing for more firms to come forward to offer work experience. Participating businesses receive work experience packs with guidance on structuring placements, safety protocols and pupil support. But according to hiring experts, the moment that makes or breaks your interview often happens before a single official question is asked. Here, recruitment specialist Sharon Armstrong, from Armstrong Appointments, reveals her five top tips to ace the 'hidden interview'. She says: 'People think the interview starts when we start asking questions but, in reality, we're assessing you from the moment we meet you. 'The way you enter a room, how you greet us and what you say in those first 30 seconds gives away more than a polished answer ever could.' 1. Be aware of hidden questions: These are usually something like: 'Did you find us OK?' or, 'How was your journey?'. It feels like small talk but it is one of the first things interviewers use to assess how you think, how you carry yourself, and how you handle pressure. Most candidates don't even realise they are being evaluated. 2. How to handle hidden questions: These early moments reveal your mindset. A short, polite, upbeat response shows composure and preparation. A flustered or negative reply, even unintentionally, suggests stress, disorganisation or poor self-awareness. Say: 'All fine, thanks. I always leave a bit early just in case' to show initiative. 3. The coffee cup test: If you are offered a drink, what do you do with it after? This moment often shows manners, initiative and how considerate you are. 4. Receptionist reports: Some interviewers ask reception staff for their impression. Were you polite? Friendly? On time? It is a quiet but powerful piece of feedback. 5. The corridor chat: The walk to the interview room isn't downtime. It's an informal check: Can you carry conversation? Are you at ease? Are you aware of social cues?

Son of ‘car boot king' claims dad's dementia was so bad when he cut him out of £43m will he drove his car at 2 kids

The disinherited "golden child" alleged his father was not in the right frame of mind when he signed his will WILL FURY Son of 'car boot king' claims dad's dementia was so bad when he cut him out of £43m will he drove his car at 2 kids Click to share on X/Twitter (Opens in new window) Click to share on Facebook (Opens in new window) THE son of a multimillionaire claimed his dad's dementia was so bad when he cut him out his will that it caused him to drive his car at kids. Adam Scott, 62, is embroiled in an inheritance dispute with his step-mother as he pursues the £43 million fortune he alleges he was promised by his 'car boot king' father Richard. Sign up for Scottish Sun newsletter Sign up 4 A bitter family row has emerged following the death of multimillionaire Richard Scott Credit: Macclesfield Express 4 Adam, the eldest of Richard's 19 sons, is suing his step-mother after he claims he was promised the farm Credit: Champion News Service Ltd 4 Richard died in 2018 - leaving his fortune to second wife and former cleaner, Jennifer Credit: Champion News Service Richard died in 2018 at the age of 81, leaving his fortune to his second wife and former cleaner, Jennifer, 60. He amassed his £43 million fortune through running a vast Cheshire farm where ITV's Car Boot Challenge was filmed. Adam, the eldest of Richard's 19 sons, is now suing his step-mother after he claims he was promised the farm. The disinherited "golden boy" - who worked on the farm for 40 years - argued that his father was not in his right mind when he signed the two final wills. London High Court heard that Richard's dementia was so bad that he "drove his car at some children during the car boot sale" and even attacked his own wife and kids. Psychiatric expert Dr Hugh Series explained there were "objective indicators of changes in Richard's behaviour" around the time he signed the disputed wills. He told the court Richard "drove his car at some children during the car boot sale" and "hit another car with his car". Richard also displayed "poor behaviour" including "punching his wife, pushing and grabbing years into a dementia diagnosis". Dr Series explained that there had been reports of him "attacking the door with a hammer and a screwdriver and [having] to be stopped by his children". He added: "His wife was so worried about him, she slept in another room and locked the door. "This seems to me to be quite extreme." But Alex Troup KC told the judge that Richard had been on dementia drug Donepezil when he aimed his car at kids attending the car boot sale. Earl loses bid for £85m estate after being cut from family fortune with dad disappointed by son's 'lack of achievement' The barrister claimed it was the drug that caused his unusual behaviour and that his mental state had "improved" when he was taken off it after six months. Mr Troup said: "He made a valid will afterwards. "The fact that before making that will he drove a car at another car is not much evidence of lack of testamentary capacity. "Richard always had a temper and could turn on anyone without warning. "Dementia illnesses often have the effect of exaggerating peoples prior personality traits." Professor Alistair Burns also disagreed that Richard showed signs of his capacity being impaired. Professor Burns told Mr Justice Richards that Mr Scott's ability to express himself had been affected by the progressive disease rather than his ability to comprehend. Adam also argued that his dad promised him he would have the right to take over the farm after his death. He claimed that he sacrificed everything to commit to "a life of hard and unrelenting physical work" on the back of those promises. But Jennifer's lawyers allege that Richard knew exactly what he was doing when he disinherited his first born. They told the court that Adam's relationship with his dad "completely broke down" when he tried to get Richard sectioned. Adam had previously tried to prevent Richard's wedding to Jennifer, claiming his dementia had incapacitated him. It led to Richard being interviewed by four registrars and a lawyer from the local council, who confirmed he did have the capacity to marry. They also say he has no claim to his dad's estate on the basis of the alleged promises having already been handed land and property worth over £10m by Richard before his death. Through the court proceedings, Adam hopes to restore his father's 1995 will which granted him "a 40-year tenancy of his father's farm and an option to purchase the farm at its probate value". When Richard amended the will in 2016, Jennifer's two sons, Gordon and William Redgrave-Scott, and Adam's sister Rebecca Horley also became beneficiaries.
